Filthy, nasty, dirty, gross. The cleanliness standards I experienced with my glass reminded me of a Texaco latrine. I was served a glass that was disgusting inside, the coup de grace was a 3/4" booger-looking thing that I didn't notice until the diet Coke was consumed below the yellow and black organic mass approximately 1" below the top of the glass. Upon seeing that vile thing in my drink, I immediately noticed that the rest of the glass was nasty and appeared unwashed before coming back out to me. I tried to go on with the meal but lost my appetite. That glass was the most filthy thing I've ever been served in a restaurant or at any meal as far at that goes -and I've lived in Africa where hygiene is a luxury in some places. I'm still trying to get the image out of my mind and feel sick that I drank from that glass. This indicates a total breakdown in cleanliness standards. From the dish washer to the soda fountain operator, anyone should have seen that the glass was nasty but failed to do so and served it to me anyway. My wife still enjoyed her meal, and it was 3 stars by itself (pumpkin ravioli special). We made sure to leave a good tip for our waitress because she did a great job under difficult circumstances. The restaurant didn't charge me for the food I couldn't eat after the nasty; however, they didn't comp us anything for ruining my anniversary lunch. I try to be gracious when this happens, but wow, that was disgusting.

I have been eating at this Brio location since it opened (I believe that was in 2007?). I have returned many, many times with many different people. I even brought out-of-town family members here after my wedding. I have always loved the food and found the staff to be pleasant. I thought I was alone when I began noticing cleanliness issues but after reading some of these other reviews, I am afraid to return. It began when, a few visits ago, I found a red hair in my food. The waitress was very kind and comped my meal as well as our desserts. I considered the matter to be resolved and I let it go. After returning, I was served a glass that was obviously VERY dirty (how did this get past the waitress? - I had WATER!). I entirely lost my appetite, however, when the flat bread appetizer (that I have ALWAYS loved) contained a DEAD WEEVIL! Seriously? I did not tell the waitress. I didn't even tell my friend. I was so disgusted that I knew she'd lose her appetite, too. Brio is such a beautiful place to dine and they serve delicious food. Why on earth are they compromising their good reputation by not keeping up on their cleanliness standards!!??

The food is so good. Service was on point Parking is good, only if the mall is not too busy! The food portion was good. I ordered children's plates & they were full. The ticket for 3 adults & 2 kids was around $100.00

Amazing food, excellent wait service, and accommodating staff: we had to change tables because of the boisterous atmosphere (my dad couldn't hear due to hearing aid issues), and they were amazingly sweet about it. The pasta aka vodka was creamy yet had a mild red pepper kick--the pasta itself was done perfectly. We also got the trio dessert plate--to die for.

One of our favorite spots for happy hour..$5 margaritas and the menu has just enough to get you full without breaking the bank. The service has always been on point, bartenders are very friendly and attentive to what is going on around the bar and the people have always been very friendly. Nothing bad to say at all, not saying that it's perfect, but for happy hour you can't go wrong here. Parking might be the only difficult thing to do

This place was good. I had a bad experience with another wok type place so i decided to give this place a shot. The food was so tasty and the place is absolutely stunning. The staff was so kind every time I needed something. The manager was even going around asking how all the tables were doing. I will be back!

My wife had to send back the house salad because it was soggy and tasted aweful. It was definitely sitting for a long time before service. The entrees were bland and uneventful. They looked delicious but there was a complete lack of flavor. The check was 50 bucks for two entrees, two salads, and two waters. At this price I would expect to get a meal with some flavor, and a fresh salad. Save some money go to Olive Garden.

My mom and I had lunch there after doing some shopping at San Tan Village. We both thought it was really unfortunate that their good food was offset by bad service. We had to wait forever for our drink orders. I had to flag down someone else because it'd been about 20 minutes and we hadn't even gotten water! My Mom's appetizer plate turned out to be dirty (so maybe three stars is a little generous:), I find that unacceptable anywhere, let alone a place that's not exactly cheap. But the food was good. My shrimp and mom's salmon were tasty and had a delish combination of flavors going. We might give it another try, although with so many restaurants around why settle for a chance you might get same bad service?

Elegant atmosphere and nice presentation of dishes. Sausage and spaghetti has great hearty flavor and chef Gustavo also will do custom dishes as well. He wants everyone to fully enjoy their dish and he is seen out greeting patrons. Good food with him there!!!

My favorite Italian/Tuscan food in town. I think it's far better than Allesia's in Mesa. The lobster bisque is the best soup I've ever had in my life. Not expensive, but reasonable priced based on the food quality. Good wine menu and something for everybody. Take the fam or make it a special night out with the wife. This place will accommodate any occasion.

Brio used to be my favorite restaurant. Lately the quality and attention to detail have suffered tremendously! I have found a fly in my salad and then last Mother's day I found a long black hair in my eggs Benedict! not to mention chips in many of the plates and cups. Very disappointed.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
