Went in after a long day of work, was sat promptly. Overheard the waitstaff discussing who's turn it was, and who was going to be waiting on us. After about 8 minutes of being ignored, (with only two other tables in the restaurant) my boyfriend and I decided to leave. To be ignored like that in a restaurant is a disgrace. Instead we went to the Denny's at the mall, I had my heart set on the pot roast. We received excellent service there. Maybe, Lucky Lane should take note from the Mall location.

I am not going to speak for the other locations, but the Denny's at this location is really horrible. I have been here twice. Both times I had horrible customer service, and one of the visits was not even at a time when they were busy. Additionally, the food was only mediocre, and the waitress did not fill up our beverages. Finally, we got overcharged, and also there was a mixup in regards to who ordered what during the 1st visit. Never going to visit this location again.

Regular Denneys food. Service was slow and terrible. Couldn't get the order right; I never got all of mine. Would not recommend unless it is the only thing open.

The food at Denny's is always good but the service here today was exceptionaly great. Our waiter Cody was super nice and vey polite. By far the best service we have ever received at Denny's.

Worst service ever! If you look at my profile you will notice I very rarely give a poor review. I have never given a 1 star. We went in around 10pm last night (this is a 24 hour location) and it was very quiet. We stood in front for close to 4 minutes before it was acknowledged that we had even walked in the door. Finally a man who obviously worked in the back discovered us waiting and sat us at a table and apologized for the wait. He also got us our drinks and menus. After waiting another few minutes our waitress emerged and simply asked if we were ready to order. I ordered the t-bird with seasoned fries, a side ranch, and a side salad to start, my boyfriend ordered the grand slamwhich with hash browns and to start he got pancake puppies with a vanilla shake (weird I know). The waitress quickly brought my salad, said nothing and left. We didn't have any silverware but before we could ask she was no where to be found. After about 5 minutes of breaking down the large pieces of veggies with my hand (our waitress came out briefly to settle the bill for the ONLY other table and then disappeared once again). Finally another man from the kitchen came out and after we asked he brought us silverware and hot sauces for when the meals came out. He also apologized. After another excruciating wait the waitress came with plates in hand. She gave me my sandwich and my boyfriend his pancake puppies and shake, she looked at him confused then said "oh! I put your sandwich in put it didn't print up in the kitchen.". I've been in the service industry for almost 16 years now. She obviously forgot to ring it in. Which would have been fine if that is what she would have said, but instead she not only lied and tried to blame the guys that had actually helped us. She looked at my boyfriend and said something to the effect of "well at least you have food". After another obnoxiously long wait (my water was about finished when she dropped off food and she didn't bring ranch) she came back and dropped my boyfriends food off, he asked her to please refill my water and bring the side of ranch. She did so at a leisurely pace and then brought it back and said "you're welcome" before we got the chance to say thank you and disappeared again. As we were finishing our meals we saw a woman come in alone. She also waited for at least 4-5 minutes before being acknowledged and seated. It took another 2 or 3 minutes for her to get a glass of water. We left cash on the table and left. I was going to tip until I looked at the bill and my boyfriends meal was there. If there was a mistake made or something was forgot, that's fine, it happens. I get it. Not in a million years would my guest have that sandwich on the bill unless there was a notable discount added to the bill. ABSOLUTELY INEXCUSABLE. 2 guys were walking in as we left. We sat in the car and waited to see how long it would take for them to be seated. Low and behold it was about 4 and a half minutes! I could understand some of the issues a little better if the restaurant was packed or if the waitress/kitchen were in the weeds. For the majority of the time we were there...we were the ONLY ones there and not an employee. I saw more customer service from the back of house staff than I saw for either of the waitresses. (Yes there were 2 waitresses on the floor and 1 table of 2 (us), and the service was still that slow and that bad) Yikes

We visited this location in an attempt to have a quick breakfast before leaving Flagstaff. We were promptly sat and our server Sheyla came by to get our drink and food orders. After around 10 minutes of waiting we still had no drinks. When one of us finally got up to ask about drinks it took another few minutes for Sheyla to bring them to our table. When we mentioned the wait her immediate response was "oh, well you know you're not the only table." The restaurant was not crowded and from what we could see, it appeared that she only had one other occupied table in her section. When she arrived with the drinks another comment was made about the wait and again her reply was rude: "Well I had to get 6 drinks." She proceeded to toss the straws on the table and when one of us tried to reason with her she was extremely rude and said "I don't have to take this!" That was the last straw and we finally just stood up and walked out. All 3 of us have worked as servers so we are no strangers to the line of work and to get this sort of attitude from a server looks very bad for the restaurant. We decided to go to Coco's instead and had a wonderful experience.

Simply amazing. Had the French Toast Slam and it was cooked perfectly to order. The server Jerilynn was pleasant and helpful in telling me about sights to see in the area. Unfortunately, I left my iPad at the cashier's and didn't realize it until 3 hours later. When I called, I was told that it had been found by their employee Mason and would be held for me. Thank you, Mason and the entire Denny's staff, for your honesty and great kindness to travelers.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. Rudest service I have ever had. Except for the manager. Service was taking way too long considering I had on of the smallest steak. After I waited 30 minutes (other places It'll take 10-15) I cut the the steak in half because I am starving and it is almost completely raw and cold like they browned the outside and didn't bother to cook it all the way through. After I brought it up to the waiter, trying to be really nice because I'm starving still, she gave me serious attitude and then asked me if I wanted it recooked like I want raw steak. So she brought it back to the kitchen to get it redone and I could overhear her talking bad about my table behind the counters to the other employees. It took another 45 minutes for my steak to come out. The manager at the time was really nice and came up and got the steak taken off my ticket. She apologized and I could tell she meant it. I saw her get on the waitress to apologize and so I received the most insincere apology ever. Never coming again

Nothing special. Just a Dennys restaurant. Typical theme, low prices, great food, I came in with my laptop and they accommodated me by putting me near a plug and leaving me alone for the most part. As I was engrossed in my studies, I did not notice when my waitress did it, but my drink never got empty, and my cheese fries were delicious. Good place, I tipped well when I left, I'll be back.

food is usually ok, service friendly.. burt THIS TIME it was amazing -- I left my ipad on the table, didn't realize it til about 12 hours and 500 miles later. I phoned, and yes, it was there. the manager MAILED it to me - and i got it a few days later... So, THANK YOU! We'll Be Back!

I expected a bad experience when I found out Denny's was my only option, but even I was surprised. One hour for an omelette at midnight. Creepy server and an hour for a meal. No way. If you're wanting food a has station would serve you better. Horrible horrible. No discount. My boyfriend was ready to walk out but I was do hungry I just kept waiting. And then the server asked for a tip. Never again

We stopped in here on a Sunday morning since the hotel we were staying at up the street closed their breakfast at 9. We were seated at a dirty table, with 1 silverware/napkin roll for 2 people. The waitress had her (rowdy) kids and husband visiting in the table next to us. Ordering was no problem and the drinks arrived promptly. When our food arrived the manager delivered it. Our waitress basically ignored us after we ordered our shared meal (we share because it's enough food for the both of us, not because we are cheap). She gave us the attitude after that and basically ignored us save for delivering our check. The order was messed up (asked for no sausage and extra bacon *crispy please* - got sausage and rubbery gross bacon), but we were hungry and just wanted to get out of there so we just ate it without pointing out the error. Will not go back.

Got there at 9PM on a Saturday night - place was nearly empty. Service was friendly enough but she did get my order wrong (wrong side dishes) and at the end gave us the wrong check (which she quickly fixed when we pointed it out). For the food - sort of disappointing even for a Denny's. I had the chicken strips which were slightly overcooked - but they were the best thing on the slightly messy plate. I had mashed potatoes and gravy (though I'd ordered the Smoked Cheddar Mashed Potatoes) which were basically a scoop of average mashed potatoes drowned in gravy. The "rice pilaf" was bland and a bit cold. It looked like it may have been the last of the batch.

When you're on vacation it is not only hard to stay on a diet, but hard to stick to a budget as well. Denny's was walking distance from the hotel we stayed at, so we saved money on gas, and got a little exercise as well. We went on Tuesday night after 4pm, so kids eat free! Ahhh, my favorite word. Free. I was so happy to have a menu in front of me with so many low calorie and healthy choices. I ordered the egg white omelet with spinich and mushrooms, comes with a side of turkey bacon and fresh fruit. Best meal I had all vacation long! Staff was friendly, food was fast, and the bill for five of us was only $21. Can't beat that. Thanks Denny's!!!

Awful. We experienced poor service that was slow to attend us (with an empty diner). It was snowing outside so hot chocolate seemed appropriate....then we tasted it (cold & not tasting so good). Even after he heated it, it didn't taste so good. I'm not sure how you can go wrong with French toast and bacon, but for the first time I didn't finish this favorite dish of mine because I couldn't stomach it. Sorry Denny's but this location need much improvement.

We went here the other night after work and never got served. We waited 10 minutes for our server and all we got were funny looks from the other staff. I own 2 food service restaurants in Flagstaff and I have high expectations. At my stores, if you are not greeted and helped right away it's free. And the employees are let go. I don't expect much from Dennys, but I do expect to be served in a timely fashion. Sorry Denny's, you have lost a local customer.

  • Kay B.

My two stars are for the quality of the food and nothing more. It took too long for the food to come out, about 30 min for an empty Denny's that's bad. There was a water leak in the next to the counter in front of the kitchen. The staff placed a big bucket out to catch the water. Ok, but made me wonder if there was a leak in the kitchen... The kicker for me was the gnats. Im sorry but bugs don't belong in restaurants. Not on my place setting, nor my napkin, nor hovering around my face while I try to enjoy lunch. Yeah it's Denny's but still no one goes out to eat bugs.

Time for a management change. Repeated bad reviews and still the same issues exist with the staff and service. This Denny's was close to our hotel so we dropped by for lunch. There were 3 small families there when we arrived and 2 others arrived after us. We sat for 30 min and no one ever came by to get our drink order, hell, no one even talked to us...for 30 min! A party of 8 with 4 young kids and no one noticed us? Really? Before we walked out in disgust, we watched as 2 other families were given drinks and were placing their orders that arrived after us. I read the reviews online and we all got up and left, we weren't willing to waste more time for horrible food to eat. Go to the Denny's on the other side of town by Native New Yorker. In 30 min we sat down, ordered drinks and appetizers, GOT THEM, and placed our order. In 25 min from walking in I'm already eating my food and finished our appetizer. Get ready for a nice tip!

Had just driven 6hrs and settled in my hotel on this strip of accommodations. I was tired and rarely if ever eat out or at Denny's. the customer service greeted me at the door and continue through my order to finish. My server was Ted he was courteous and friendly. I was satisfied even with the friendly check out. The only thing I noticed was the floors. They are pretty dirty but I was pleased to see a roller sweeper than just a broom which helps keep the dirt from flying around in your food. All in all thanks for a great pick me up Denny's.

Just keep driving... I went to Denny's around 10:30 on a Saturday. The greeter was nice and welcoming but our editor took at least 10 minutes to come over and ask us what we wanted. After about 45 minutes of waiting for our breakfast skillets to cook the waiter came out with our food and my side of bacon. The side of bacon included 2 pieces of bacon, significantly less than the menu advertised and our meal was cold. By the time our waiter found the time to bring us our check it was about 12:00. This is my first experience at Denny's and given the impression they left it may be my last.

Terribly greasy, wait staff excellent. Cook awful. Manager took one meal off bill and adjusted others. Cook needs to be better trained or replaced. This is the second recent bad meal.

Worst experience ever. I would have rather eaten gas station food. Took 20 minutes to place drink order, another 20 minutes to get the drinks, 30 minutes to get food and it was not any good. Half my super bird didn't have meat and the bacon was under cooked. Another table came in after us, got good service and left before we even got our food. Yet another table received worse service than us. They where there before us and left after us. This place Sucks. Avoid it like the plague. Food and service suck.

Went to Denny's this morning for breakfast and what a disappointment! Service was good tables were a mess the place was a pigsty and the food was underwhelming, our worst Denny's experience yet. Don't bother to stop at this Denny's go another location.

Well, it's Denny's so I'm not really surprised that everything was pretty much mediocre. I came here with my mother for a late breakfast before heading out on our trip this afternoon. We were seated promptly and our waitress was super friendly and sweet to us, so she was definitely the best part of our experience. We ordered coffees and I got this pancake something-or-other while my mom only asked for extra crispy bacon, hashbrowns and a side of fruit. For the amount of people in the restaurant, our food took an abnormally long time... We weren't too upset but with my mother's order, they included two eggs, which she didn't order, plus her food wasn't even cooked the way she had asked for it. Our waitress kind of... I don't know, questioned her about the eggs too. "Are you sure you didn't order them, really??", which was slightly annoying, but not really a big deal. I noticed after we got our food though, service seemed to stop. We didn't get any more coffee refills or anything. We finished eating and sat in our booth for about 20 minutes without anyone even looking at us. Our server walked by us several times and didn't really acknowledge us. So when she did ask us if we needed anything, I asked for the check, waited another five minutes to get the check and paid without any other issues. I was really happy that the waitress didn't charge us for the extra eggs because I thought for sure they would have. The main issue I had was the slow service in a virtually empty restaurant. Our waitress was super, super friendly, things just seemed unorganized. I don't think I'll ever come back to Flagstaff, but even if I did, I really don't think I would go to this Denny's.

Arrived late at our Motel and wanted to eat. Good old Denny's came to the rescue , 24/7 and right next door to our Motel. Writing this after we are. They were very busy (so they said) I didn't see that many people. To make a long story short, after three tries and 45 minutes we finally got the correct food which was under cooked. The one bright point was our waitress. Sierra was not responsible for the mixup and was very helpful.

    (2)
  • Robert W.

Terrible service. First we were seated a very dirty table. The person who was perturbed at wiping it down just slung the crumbs into our laps. As for the meal it took a long time for the food to come out (like 25 mins) and it wasn't busy. Lastly my wife's meal has a signature pancake meal but the pancakes didn't come out with the food and not until we were both finished. The waitress said she had to argue with the cook that he already cooked the pancakes. I don't care!!!! Why did he argue? Just cook the f'ing things. Manager apparently doesn't care or keep track of what going on with orders or staff is afraid to tell them.

After a long day on the road, checked into a nearby hotel and went to look for a place to eat, within walking distance. Denny's was right in front, so I stopped by. About 5 minutes in I finally got seated. About 2 minutes later a waiter asked what I'd like to drink. "Coke, easy ice", I said. 10 minutes later - still no coke, and I haven't even been asked what I'd like to eat. 15 minutes in I just left. No, the restaurant was pretty much empty - about 2-3 tables besides me.

Well, this is a Denny's, & one doesn't go there expecting gourmet food, but..... We had been driving for 8 hours & after checking into our motel down the street decided that convenience won out over trying to find a great meal. Placing our to-go order was pretty easy, & after ordering specials & getting an extra discount, the price was rright. Well.....I guess you get what you pay for. My hubby had an omelet & chose the bagel option rather than toast. After waiting 15 minutes they told him they were out of bagels so he chose another option. The omelet must have been ready the entire time, because it was barely lukewarm when we got back to our room (less than 5 minutes away). The toast wasn't toasted, merely soggy & somewhat warm; I have no idea what they did. I chose the lemon pepperr tilapia meal. There was no discernable taste of either lemo\on or pepper, just a lot of goopy "butter" sauce smothering it. The rice pilaf was edible, but the green beans were rubbbery, as if they had been defrosted & refrozen a number of times, & then microwaved just a bit too long. The salad was nearly all iceberg lettuce, but at least it had a fresh taste until I put on the dressing. They only gave us eating utensils for 1 person; did they think we were going to take turns eating? Luckily we always travel with utensils, just in case we need them.

Ok. It is Denny's, but l had the tilapia with spinach and green beans and everything was fresh and hot. The server was on the spot. He was better than servers I have had in 4 star restaurants.

At Denny's diner, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner even on holidays and throughout the night. Denny's was initially spelled as Danny's but later it was changed to Denny's to avoid any confusion with Los Angeles based coffee chain Coffee Dan. The main USP of Denny's diner is that the diner stays open round the clock and serves food even on holidays. Today, Denny's franchise outlets are operational in 1700 locations, mainly in the United States and other parts of the world.

Denny's expanded its operations across the United States after Pilot Flying J opened Denny's at their Truck Stop locations across the United States. Tying up with Pilot Flying J helped Denny's gain exposure and popularity across the United States as one of the best diners near freeway exits. Denny's is also among the healthiest diners in the United States. It recorded the fewest health inspection violations in a Dateline NBC segment called "Dirty Dining."
