I would give this place 5 stars, if it was bigger, & easier to get around. The tacos, are five star. Delicious! I had the shrimp tacos, & fish tacos. They were both some of the best I've ever had. I tried 2 of the salsas on the salsa bar. The green, avocado one is excellent, as well as one of the red sauces. They have the coke from Mexico, which I had never tried before, and I enjoyed it. Service was quick & friendly. I will def. be back!

The other reviewers were right, great food and good service. They have a little salsa bar with about ten different salsas to try which was awesome. Have the long glass pop bottles you see in Mexico.

Was in a hurry and it was close to where I was. Wanted something quick and easy for lunch so we ordered two cheese quesadillas and one can of coke. The bill was $15. Ouch! As we were waiting other people ordered and also had the same reaction to the price. The gal taking orders mentioned they had recently raised their prices. The wait was excruciatingly long. So much for saving time. What we got for $15 was four quesadilla wedges each. Next time it's Taco Bell bean burritos for $5.

Small taqueria that truly has authentic style food. Good menu and they serve beers as well. There's not a lot of room to sit, but if you can grab a seat it's nice and cool inside and the staff is great. I had the pork tamales and they were amazing. So kick back and enjoy a medio litro of Coca Cola and have a bite!

This little Mexican take out joint is well worth the stop. They do have about 10 tables inside. Order at the counter and they'll bring the food to you. Reasonable prices for the quantity and quality. Excellent chile relleno, seriously one of the best I've ever had! Very light batter, nice ricotta-style filling. Good chicken fajitas. I tried three of the homemade salsas and loved them all.

A 'taqueria' leads me to believe I am going to get a great taco. So, I order a carne asada taco. Let's compare a taco to a pizza. Sounds funny, but a pizza is all about the crust, and a taco is all about the shell. The toppings and sauce make the pizza too, and the fillings of the taco make the taco as well. If that taco shell is a premade shell like one you would buy in a box at safeway....it's over right there. That's what their taco shell is. Ruins it. As a previous yelper stated, it is clean and there is a quality salsa bar, but I can make better at home with minimal effort. Wife had a quesadilla, was overloaded with low grade cheese. Kinda gross. Not sure about this place....

I ordered my first favorite this time, a chicken chimi. He ordered the green pork and both were delicious. We also enjoyed Strawberry Jarritos and chips with salsa. Juanita's is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Cottonwood.

Stopped in over the weekend, and wasn't disappointed at all. I had seen a lot of cars in the parking lot and made sure after my visit to Jerome that I stop in and try it out. I ordered the carne asada torta plate. The meat is really good, and I loved the avocado slices and the bun was perfectly toasted. Very good food, was glad I pulled over and got to eat here. The place is small but you can tell by the locals faces it's worth the wait if any to eat there. Thumbs up from me!

Our new favorite breakfast in Cottonwood. Chilaquiles, juevos rancheros and chorizo were all really tasty. Will be back on a weekly basis for breakfast

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
