I've been to Tombstone many times over the past 40+ years and I've passed Reb's the same amount of time because it was always the wrong time of day for a meal. Well I finally stopped and had chicken fried steak. The steak was so tender you could cut it with just your fork. The mashed potatoes were perfect and the salad and vegetables were fresh and tasty. Rebs is old fashioned down home diner food. Nothing more nothing less. It's food and service we used to expect from a family owned establishment and Reb's does not disappoint. Now I stop whenever I go by no matter what time of day or night. Keep on truckin' Reb.

I was down here by accident and really this place was my second accident of the day. I ordered the border skillet which sounds pretty good with chorizo, hash browns, peppers, eggs, tomatoes, and cheese. It wasn't. The chorizo was flavorless and greasy. The cheese wasn't cheese, it's like that fake nacho cheese sauce the movie theaters buy by the gallon and the salty "I don't have a name for this taste but it is bad" sauce is poured it all over your skillet. It just ends up a mushy mess. Coffee was definitely overpriced. They don't accept amex. Staff was okay and the place looks clean.

The food was mediocre and service was bad. We went there for breakfast. My husband ordered the breakfast platter with 2 pork chops. When his plate came out the pork chops were literally one piece cut in half. I had the corned beef hash and it wasn't that good. It tasted and looked like it came from a can. If you're looking for a spot to fill you up and you don't have high expectations then this is it.

i was driving through from San Diego to Miami and stopped at a friend's in Phoenix along the way. As I was heading south on I-10, I stopped to get gas and use the facilities at a gas station where I asked the cashier if she knew of a good place to get from grub. She told me about Reb's and that she had worked there. So, I went. I ordered Reb's Breakfast special with toast and grits. It was my first time eating grits. I couldn't help but think of "My Cousin Vinny". I also rdered a vanilla shake. They filled my glass, topped the shake with whipped cream, a fake cherry and sprinkles. The kicker, they give you the metal cup which had another glassful and then some. Food was great. Decor was so unique and comforting. Service was slow, friendly and with a touch of love. NOTE ABOUT SERVICE: A sign is posted twice in the cafe, and reads, "This is not a fast food restaurant. This is a good food restaurant. So have patience! Good food takes time to prepare." It truly is good food. Stop in. Slow down. Enjoy.

Reb's is just about everything you'd expect from a breakfast diner. The interior looks like it dropped right out of the late 70s, and fat, carbohydrates and sodium are all served up in good healthy portions. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking it - it's hot, tasty, stick-to-your-ribs comfort food, and sometimes that's exactly what you want. As diner-food goes, they know how to do it right - both my hash browns and my corned beef hash were the proper mix of soft and crispy, and my over-easy eggs were just about perfect. The serving sizes are excellent (filling without being too huge), and while the fat content of the food may be high, it's appetizingly so - not swimming in grease like many similar places. So why haven't I given them a higher rating? Well, what it comes down to is...I'm spoiled. I live right near one of the best breakfast restaurants in the state (if not the entire US), and their prices aren't any higher. True, it's in Bisbee, which is a little farther out of the way for a lot of folks, but right now they're my gold standard and Reb's doesn't *quite* match up. Which isn't to say we won't stop by again on our way to Tucson sometime...can't beat the location, it's right on the interchange to the highway.

I'll preface this by saying since Reb's is a 'greasy spoon' type of place I DON'T expect 'Olive Garden' service/ambiance so it get's its full 5 stars. :) The food was top notch; I had a "Dagwood' (Club) sandwich and it was def good and the service was very good. I ate there yesterday.

This is a cute little dinner. The menu was large and the staff was really nice. I got a BLT. It was piled with perfectly cooked bacon. Not overly chewy nor overly crunchy. The tomato was pretty good (which is saying something coming from a tomato snob).

Decent food. Ok service. All the cute charm of a mom and pop restaurants in a small town.

How many times have I driven by the Reb's Cafe on the way to all the great places in Southern AZ and never stopped? I always saw lots of cars and being from the South, the name captured my attention. I always just drove on by. Well, I finally stopped and ordered up a breakfast of a cheese omelet. It was pretty darn good. I noticed the serving was a bit small compared to other similar breakfast places but it was enough. The homemade biscuit came with gravy. The coffee was fresh. The service was friendly and the prices were fine. There's much to keep you entertained while you wait to be served. Yes, John Wayne's photo sits proudly on the wall. I can easily see why this would be a favorite hangout for locals. I would sure eat there again but I wouldn't make a special trip to Benson to do it.

Pretty authentic no none sense American diner. No frill, just good portions, reasonably priced and not over the top, but good customer service. Awesome place. Will definitely check it out again!

It's a nice little diner. I am never dissatisfied with my food, if you're in town and you want to grab something to eat you won't be disappointed if you decide to eat here.

A couple of riding buddies suggested this place as we were headed to San Manuel via the dirt road north of Benson. They had been here before and suggested it was a good place to stop for breakfast so we pulled in. The front was small, but it opened up into a larger area in the back. We all ordered a variety of breakfast dishes. Food was only OK, the servings were small and the service was extremely slow. Most likely will not be going back.

One word..... Meat loaf mashed potatoers and gravy!

This was what a stereotype of an old, out of the way type diner/cafe is like. Every type was working there. Was the food great... I had breakfast... No, but the experience was fun in a surreal kind twilight zone of way.

On our way from Phoenix to visit a friend, the three of us were road weary and hungry. We pulled off of Interstate 10 into Benson. Driving down the road, we passed McDonald's and Taco Bell without batting an eye. Noticing the humble building and old-timey sign, we pulled in to Reb's with high hopes. I myself opted for saltines and iced water. I was nervous about eating, as I had a bad case of "Mexico Gut." I found the water to be refreshing. Cold and wet, just as I like it. However, the saltines were stale, and left much to be desired. My friend Sharon M., who is cool and gives useful reviews, had a waffle. She says it was OK, but the syrup in the Great Value bottle threw her for a loop, particularly the multiple hairs along the cap. My other friend Johnny D., who is not on Yelp (yet), had the chicken fried steak. While he admitted it wasn't the best, he cleaned his plate. We were not the least bit tempted to try the seafood omelet or shrimp cocktail. The highlight of our trip to Reb's was their lovely bumper stickers. Mine is in my office at an Air Force base in Ohio. Johnny's is on his guitar case. Sharon has unfortunately misplaced hers. She is inconsolable. While the food may not have been the best, the memory of Reb's will be cherished for years.

We went to eat and the server was dirty and very unhappy i felt like she was on something. Need to get some clean people to wait on you food ok not like it was years ago. So sad

The atmosphere is everything you could hope for. The food is exactly what you'd expect. There are joke books on the table. If you're headed from Tucson to El Paso, it will get you by til your next meal.

We're here in an RV park and have had omelets with potatoes(your choice of hash browns or home style, yum), and you get choices for your side plate. We had bisquits and gravy. Very good! Today we had the "Dagwood." A very good club sandwich with choice of fries (real ones) or potatoes salad. I was impressed by the size of the sandwich. Fit and proper meal. We will be back to try other parts of the menu. Promise. Reminds me of the family cafes of old. Try it, you'll like it!

Wow, the food portion is huge! We ordered the banana boat, the Sundae, Onion rings and french fries with gravy. They were all in big portion and especially the desert, decorated with whip cream and sprinkles. You can just feel happy by looking at them, not to mention they are delicious! As for location, it is easily accessible just right off I-10. Five stars to this place!

Reb's Cafe is a fun place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. At night, it's packed with a bunch of old folks who probably adore John Wayne, guns, and G Bush, btw there are John Wayne pics up all over. They allow smoking, which stinks. Their food can be pretty good (fried chicken) or probably just awful (soups, salads, sandwiches). I've had it good a few times for dinner but I guess it depends on what cook you get, when you go and who is pissed off that day. It tasted like real food. Avoid the corporates when in Benson, you might find the food tastes better.

On our trip from PHX to Texas, we got hungry and thought let's hit Benson for lunch. We were driving thru and saw this diner and plenty of cars and thought, why not? Glad we did, pretty good diner food, not excellent but very good overall. The decor is a little odd, old diner with a mix of things on the wall. The servers have the old diner attitude and they certainly know their regulars.

If by some chance you find yourself in Benson and you're in the mood for breakfast, Reb's is your go to place if just for the home fries ,which should be the standard for home fries around the world...perfection. The hash browns are the best hash browns you have ever had in your life. The biscuit is good. I've had better (Pork store, SF)....Nice nice waitresses who all look like their name should be Flo or Wanda,,,and I mean that as a compliment. They are the model for friendliness and efficiency. The very good coffee keeps coming. Your cup is never empty as it is continually being topped off. Eggs up were flawless. The entire breakfast was about 4 bucks per person! Incredible...Oh, there is one room with nothing but pictures of Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne and Harley motorcycles.

Interesting interior. Cars, motorcycle, Hollywood photos. Service OK. Clean. Their sausage patties were substandard.

Horrible. I had the lean healthy choice selection which was a piece of tough greasy chicken, a dollop of cottage cheese and canned peaches in heavy syrup. That was it. How is that supposed to lean or healthy? It had no seasoning and was barely edible. Too bad there are so few choices to eat in Benson otherwise we would have gone elsewhere. Chef Binkley get your ass down here and open us up a destination restaurant.

The food was good, and there is a lot of variety on the menu (diner fare and Mexican as well). Breakfast served all day. The clientele are interesting (as are the servers), and the place has the makings of a classic.

Hmmm, Hmmmm, Good. I had an amazing waffle with icecream dish and it was to die for. I'm so glad we found this diner on Yelp.

Horrible place. But in this small town, there isnt much to choose from. The place was not crowded at all, roughly three other customers. I had their chicken Parmesan. Talk about doing it wrong. First off the chicken was not fried nor was it sauteed. It seemed to be boiled chicken breast on top of a bed of pasta with marinara sauce poured on top. The sauces was watered down and tasted bland. And to my surprise there was one small piece of canned mushroom in the entire plate. I'm not sure if it's suppose to be there, but from the looks of it, it wasn't suppose to be eaten. Worst place ever....
