A very clean and neat eatery with many charming quotes on the walls plus several horse, cowpeople and Ash Fork signs on the walls. The floors are tiled in Ash Fork travertine artistry. Customer base is global. The food is solid cafe fare. Standard breakfasts, lunches and dinners of burgers, sandwiches, steak, chicken, salads, etc.. This is country. Some items may not be available due to needed product runs to town (Flag or Prescott) or late delivery trucks. I had a very good Frisco Burger. A grilled sourdough cheese burger. Fresh ingredients, good flavors, very filling, especially with the potato field of fries I chose for my side. The ice tea glasses are Generous. About 24 ounces. Worthy of a stop by hungry travelers.

OK. I almost missed this place but so glad I found it. I ordered the house special, Huevos Rancheros. It was awsome. So flavorful. And everyone there was friendly and service was great. I will go back for sure.

Service was good. Green chili was great! If you pass through, try the Sharon special (has browns topped with the green chili, with cheese and onions)! Apparently there is a $8.99 steak & egg special on Sundays. Just remember that it is a cafe, not some crazy fancy restaurant.

Great place to eat, very cozy feeling. The breakfast was great and very affordable. Close to the fwy, so very easy access to get on and off the highway and a gas station right across the street.

Not a bad place. It has a very cozy feel and is a classic country restaurant. The people are friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I'm always disappointed in their fries though. I haven't tried anything but their burger plates and their burgers aren't bad, but the fries are just a bit softer than I'd like. Most of the draw to this place for me is just the charm of the country environment. Really relaxed and comfortable the moment you walk through the door. This visit I had the Frisco Burger and that garlic spread they use is absolutely the bomb!

We found this sweet little cafe on a drive up from Prescott. We were wanting to drive The Mother Road from here on into Seligman. No much happening in this little town so we were happy to find this place. We ordered up BLT's and cheese omelets and they were all good tasting, All-American dishes. Our servers were great and the cafe itself was fun "to read" with all the signs on the walls.

Delicious food and wonderful service after a strenuous hike at the Grand Canyon. We were tired but mostly hungry and this place delivered, hands down. I totally recommend.

Great little stop off the highway. Friendly service, decent diner-style menu, affordable prices and quaint country motif. Great way to take in the local color!

Went to this little place on the way to SoCal. Great burger, interesting book collection and lots to watch on the wall. Neat place!

Had the breakfast special which was steak and eggs with potatoes and toast. Pretty great price too. It was well cooked and everything tasted fine. The waitress was very nice and came over enough to check on us. $17 for 4 people, of course the kids shared with us, but not bad for a little restaurant off the road. The signs all inside the restaurant are so cute and are for sale.

Outstanding cheeseburgers, can't wait to go back! The fries and the service were great too...be sure to stop here if you're in or near Ash Fork! UPDATE: I've been back twice since my first review and I can't explain what about them exactly but the burgers are the best I've ever had! And they're located right off the highway (easy-on/easy-off) so there's no reason not to stop here. I'm going to have to take the drive to Williams Arizona soon to conduct some business and the first thing that popped into my mind was "Oooh, I get to stop off at the Ranch House on the way back!" Give this place your business so they continue to prosper...with such great food and great prices, they've definitely earned our business!

Enjoyed a late lunch here this summer during an otherwise nonstop, sweltering drive from Las Vegas en route to Albuquerque. It was nice to get in out of the heat. I had a breakfast-type meal that included French toast, and it was actually very good. Unfortunately, almost everything I touched (silverware, plate, napkins) seemed to have been drizzled with syrup--and I can't stand getting sticky. If you're hankering for something obscure, or you're just absolutely starving, or you just have to use the restroom and can't wait any longer, stop in Ash Fork and try out this little eatery. Otherwise, keep heading east and get something in Flagstaff.

I love this place, the pork green chili is to die for, I get it on everything. It is a small place with lots of funny signs on the walls, and ranch themed decorations. The service is friendly although there is one waitress that has an annoying habit of standing behind the counter with her back to the dining room. All in all great place, the food is like home cooking, nuf said.

Sharon, whoever she is, has a "Sharon's Special" on the menu which is some of the very best homemade, shredded pork filled, make your nose runny, mildly scorch your toungue Green Chile I have had. Served on top of an order of hashbrowns and topped with melted fresh white mexican and cheddar cheeses. The special comes in a full and half size order if you ask.....and even comes with some really good biscuits and gravy if you ask nicely.

I live a few miles from this place. Went there once. Never again. What does that tell you? Low end food. Mid range pricing. Mediocre service. Just not worth it.

Stopped on the way from Vegas to the Grand Canyon. Totally worth the stop! Food was very good and the staff was so sweet. We thought it might be a little back woodsy if you know what I mean, but we were very wrong. It was a great place and just goes to show you shouldn't judge a book by its cover! Check out the town on Wikipedia so you can go check out the landmarks while you're in town!

Stopped off on the way to Flagstaff, it's one of those middle-of-nowhere cafes that wouldn't get a second glance anywhere else. That said, the food was delicious, the service was super friendly and the break from driving was welcome. Special is green chili (made with green chile peppers and shredded pork), definitely get it if you stop in. The place doubles as a small general store with cigarettes and small items on sale. The walls are decorated with snarky signs like "If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?" (my fave). If you're looking for a place to stop midway between Las Vegas and Flagstaff, Ranch House Cafe is a pretty good bet. ps odd as they may sound, the Santa Fe egg rolls are quite excellent. fries are also pretty good as well

Decent, affordable stop that gives you a small close knit community vibe. Stopped here coming from Vegas to Grand Canyon South Rim. Aren't many other options around unless you can wait until you get to Williams. Overall a fine place for a quick, convenient bite.

We stopped by on our way from Wichita, KS to home in San Jose, CA. It was great to eat a home cooked meal served with a smile and a cup of Joe. I had the 2 egg & chicken fried steak special and ordered a biscuit with sausage & milk gravy. Awesome Possum! My daughter was entertained with the quirky books so we bought 2. As I was leaving, I noticed the floor. It was a jasper agate that was probably mined locally. Pretty expensive flooring for a little local cafe which added intrigue to the cafe. If you are tired of burgers and fast food come here instead. The town could really use your business. The food is great.

I stopped at Ash Fork because I like the name. Dinner was another hamburger; not too bad. Arizona has huge desert landscapes with hills like a wonky blanket, crazy rock formations and even forests. Nearby WIlliams is beautiful, but set up for tourists. We make it to the Grand Canyon just in time for sunset.
