We found this place on yelp. Just passing through on business. I had the manicotti with a side of spaghetti and meatballs. My friend had a pepperoni pizza pie with a side of spaghetti and marinara. The complementary garlic knot bread was excellent, The spaghetti and meatballs were good. The spaghetti and marinara was good. The manicotti was a little bit bland, could've used a little bit more spice, but was well made and filling. The big surprise was the pepperoni pie. The pie was great, perfectly done. The wait staff was friendly and talkative and the atmosphere was nice. Stop in and see these folks, you won't be disappointed...

2nd time eating here. I had spaghetti the first time, it was really good! The 2nd time I came I thought I would try the pizza, mistake! Little Ceasars was probably better. The pizza was bland and watery. My girlfriend had chicken piccata, it was very good! I just thought and Italian restaurant would have better pizza. I would reccomend this restaurant, just skip the pizza!

It's a neighborhood joint, with a typical Italian restaurant menu and a typical casual dining establishment feel. It's not too crowded, not too messy, not too anything. But the food is good and inexpensive, about $7 for lunch and a little more for dinner. I ordered Baked Ziti lunch special with a Caesar Salad upgrade ($2 upcharge). The salad is overdressed, like wayyy over dressed. It was salty to the point of where I almost didn't eat it, but gotta have my greens! The baked ziti was quite fantastic. It's hot, moist, sweet, and just all round fantastic. It is also quite a generous portion. Next time I won't even need the salad with this. Although I gotta have my greens! Others in my party had the Chicken Parm, and Spaghetti and Meatballs. Both said they were good. We also had a Caesar Salad with grilled chicken in the mix, and it looked good. The tip of the day? Don't get your salad dressed. It's hea-vvy~!

I honestly didn't know it was possible to get food this good in Texarkana. Everything on the menu here is incredible, no matter what you order or when you order it. And the pizza? I'd give it six stars if I could.

I live about two blocks from here and eat here often. The menu is typical with lunch specials that are very affordable. The pasta is more consistent than served elsewhere in town. Their veal with capers was a nice surprise from the dinner menu.

Great hideaway in downtown Texarkana. My wife and I have had the Stromboli and a Calzone plus a Joe's salad and they've just been great. You need to come try it out.

We really enjoyed dining at Joe's Pizza and Pasta. I love Italian food but somehow I had no idea this restaurant existed. The bread they brought us before the meal was very good but it was different from bread at most other Italian restaurants I have eaten at. We both had the Chicken Parmigiano and it was excellent. The service was great and I really liked the atmosphere.

From a small town in central arkansas, I traveled to Texarkana to see my boyfriend and we wanted pizza so i found Joe's on yelp. I have a place near home that has the best pizza i've ever had in my life and this is pretty much if not the same or better. It's incredible. I had the ham, shroom and jap pizza with a salad and 2 sides of red sauce and an unsweet tea. I am going to go there every time i go to texarkana now. I love joes'!

We eat at Joe's about once month and have never been disappointed. Love their rolls and Canadian bacon/jalapeño pizza is our favorite, it's not smothered in sauce and their cheese is the best. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere, not rushed and hectic.

Always an easy to go choice .... Great food at a reasonable price. Don't dine in often but it's a great downtown location.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
