Went to have breakfast with my grandchildren and my wife. We were seated and waited for our waitress. Took 10 min to see one and then was told that they had no glasses because the dishwasher wasn't doing his job. Ok now from this point it gets worse. We finally get our drinks and then waited to order. While waiting to order I noticed a customer near by that was unhappy because they failed to put the chorizo on his chorizo and chicken plate. He had to ask to have them put it on there. Really ??? Ok now on to the rest of the story. We finally had the waitress take our order and when I was ordering the meat lovers omelet the waitress informed me they were out of prime rib. I said ok well add sausage and mushrooms on it then. So a while later the order comes out and there is 0 mushrooms and no extra sausage. We also were given 0 silverware to eat with. My wife asked the waitress 3 times for silverware. The waitress kept saying ok and would go do something else in the back and not once brought the silverware. My wife finally had to get up and get it herself. Ok now back to the omelet. When I told the waitress about the order instead of apologizing to me and fixing it she says " oh I put it on your order" and ignores me and doesn't even begin to resolve it for me. I had to ask another waitress for the mgr. When he came out he was nice at first but then seemed more bothered by me than wanting to resolve the issue and make his customer happy. I told him how unhappy I was and about my prior experience being bad. Now I must also say while having our conversation that a regular customer and friend ( I could tell by the persistence of wanting to interrupt out conversation with statements like my food was good...I really enjoyed the service ...I'll put a good review on yelp..ect..) the mgr not once ask the other customer to please wait till our conversation was over. I told him I didn't feel that we should pay a dime for our meal and how unhappy I was. He told me he would take care of it and then when I received my ticket he still charged me 4.47 for our drinks!! I will never ever as long as I am alive walk back into a Denny's in Texarkana. I plan on sharing this with there corporate office!!

Another yummy bacon cheeseburger, but seriously poor attitude on the part of the server. A request for a soda refill was met with an angry look and a sharp "You're gonna hafta pay for that refill", to which I replied, "Well, if you don't hop to and refill my glass, how can I pay you for it?" The bathroom was really gross too.. Conveniently located with easy access to Texas and Arkansas.

Horrible! I waited more than ten minutes for server to take order. Twenty minutes later, no food. Temperature is hot and uncomfortable. Coffee cup was empty. I would not recommend. If in Texarkana, try IHOP or Cracker Barrel, worth the wait.,

Good lord, what a miserable experience. And yes, yes....I'd give it less than one star if I could. Mind you, I was not expecting fine dining from this Denny's. However, this was one of the worst displays of service and quality I think I've ever witnessed. Came in on a Sunday night too late to eat anything anywhere else that wasn't drive thru and quickly deduced our options were Denny's and Waffle House. Not all that familiar with the Waffle House menu, we decided the Denny's menu might offer more non-breakfast items. I walked in and placed a to-go order and spent the next THIRTY minutes waiting and deducing the fact that this was probably an "at your own risk" dinner. Perhaps the first clue should have been the bathroom. (I've seen cleaner truck stop bathrooms on the interstate.) Or maybe we should have gotten a clue from the complaining patron we overheard. Or when the hostess rolled her eyes and told some entering guests that her head was going to explode if she didn't get a break. Or maybe when the manager filled someone's cup from a 2-liter. Or maybe, just maybe when no less than three kitchen workers made their way through the restaurant and outside, with cigarette in hand, and proceeded to smoke and hang out on the curb by the front door. Sketchy much? Husband was already pretty convinced he wasn't going to be able to risk eating the food and guess what!? He got his wish......upon getting back to our hotel, we realized they had gotten the order wrong and instead of our son's dinner, there were pancakes and eggs. I won't lie.....I was just hungry and desperate enough to still eat mine. Most everything else went in the trash and was yet another reminder to always check YELP first as our experience seems to pretty much be the consensus.

Stay away. The service was slow and there was only three other customers there. The toast was burnt badly. Family members eggs tasted bad.

Rude people. Stood over 7 minutes and no one seated us. Place was almost empty -- now we know why!!!!

We had no idea when we entered if we were seat ourselves or not . The staff didn't hesitate to tell us that several staff members didn't want to work today. Supposedly an excuse for the crummy service we received I guess. They may have come by once to ask if we needed anything. She came by at the very end to say "I'm sorry I couldn't help yall ." There were cigarette ashes in the bathroom floor . The bathroom was not very clean. I hadn't been to a Denny's in years and was very disappointed .

Don't bother. Plenty of empty tables and we stood at the door for a loonng time and finally left.

Worst experience at a Denny's that I have ever had. The service was awful as I waited about 20 min for a simple breakfast which never came. They also told me they had run out of cream for coffee so had to drink it black and then they didn't even have milk either. I finally left after about 30 min without ever getting my breakfast. I will NEVER be back to this restaurant.

Trick is to get there prior to the crowd hitting. Servers work hard and you know what to expect on the food. Solid choice for late night or Saturday or Sunday mornings.

Now there are Denny's and there are Denny's. Your classic east coast Denny's experience is likely to look like the after party of a Skinny Puppy concert: pubescent goth kids mingling with black-clad has-beens. Everyone is likely smoking cloves and moping. Lets go to Texarkana where there is nary a Goth to be found. The clientele, instead, rough and tumble, hardscrabble 'Muricans out celebrating things at 10am on a Wednesday. My pal and I must have looked like we just fell off of Boy George's tour bus or something as we strolled in in our collared shirts, sneakers, and history of bi-annual dentist visits. All that said, the service was abysmal. Where I come from, Denny's servers are usually overzealous about refills and never leave a cuppa empty, let alone empty for 10 minutes. Does Southern Hospitality extend out to Arkansas? It does? You could've fooled me. I'm pretty sure the waitress crop-dusted us after I asked for more cream and another fork. The food was pretty sheisty too, even by Denny's standards. My buddy's French slam was a botched bunt that made the easy out, and the Lumberjack breakfast I managed to cram down would have given a real Lumberjack debilitating diarrhea. The only reason this place stays in business is the camo-capped Texarkansans and their God, Guns, and Gristle - oh and the lack of other options.

Food was typical Denny's. That's where the typical comparisons end. Service was terrible and SLOW and it wasn't very busy to justify it. They took the drink and food order at the same time, but it took 10 minutes to get our drinks and then the waitress got it confused. We waited nearly 45 minutes for our simple order and the cook "forgot" (their signature dish) my wife's grand slam and undercooked the bacon on another order. I should have read the reviews prior to pulling in the lot and sitting down. What a huge disappointment. I've never had slower service. The tables were sticky. Lucky to get a refill at all. Other than that...I will never go back to this Denny's again. PLEASE read the other reviews and heed the warnings or be prepared to share in our misfortune.
