This place is my favorite for pizza....LOVE IT!!!!!! This is one place that I will eat at every time we go home. Our usual meal is a large Big Dan's pizza (pepperoni, canadian bacon, beef, and sausage) and their golden nuggets (cheese sticks). Their pizza's are huge and full of toppings. The crust is thin (which my husband likes). The golden nuggets are served with their homemade marinara sauce, but I love the ranch dressing they use. I can only eat two slices because they put so much toppings on their pizzas. I also love their salads from the salad bar, but I usually don't waste my time with the salads since I love their pizza so much. Their menu isn't loaded with a ton of pizza options, but they have your usual topping choices. They also serve toasted sandwiches, but I have never tried one. They look delicious though. I have also called in a personal size pizza for take out when I worked in the area. You cannot go wrong on their pizza anytime. Plus, the lunch prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is great for large parties since they have the side room that closes off. The rest of the restaurant is large with a couple of games the kids can play. You can also drop some quarters in the jute box if you want to hear some classics. I will admit that if the restaurant is full it can get quite loud though. I would try to avoid dinner time crowd around 6 most nights. We usually hold off until around 7 and most of the dinner crowds are gone.

Usually we have great service. But this time it was like everyone was running around without there heads. Service was slow. Dirty table and the waitress was shocked we wanted napkins now. The salad bar was a mess. Plates were dropped and they never cleaned up the mess except for the plates. It will be a while before we come back. A plus Food was good.

Being from Chicago, I really like pizza, so I Gave this chain a try. Had one of the specialty pizzas, and it was without question the most flavorless pizza I've ever had. The only ingredient I could actually taste was the canned mushroom. The sausage, Pepperoni, and onions only provided texture, with absolutely no flavor. I'm not sure they even put any sauce on the thing. Needless to say, I won't be back. Ever.

Ordered the 16" Outlaw pizza. Loaded with toppings. Crust was excellent. Salad bar had a pretty good selection and was fresh. Buffalo wings were a little small but pretty good. This is our second time stopping here as we're traveling through. All in my party enjoyed the food and high recommend!

Shotgun Dan's has been a favorite of mine for many many years. Pizza is always tasty and fresh. The pizza crust is thin and crispy and toppings are piled on generously . Another favorite is the Golden Nuggets appetizer. Garlic Cheese Pizza Bread Sticks all in one. They are served with the homemade marinara sauce, although I prefer them with Ranch dressing. Service is tops and price is right. My only complaint is the salad bar. The lettuce is wet and slightly wilted and other ingredients are limited. I won't waste my time or money on the salad bar again. I won't lower the rating of my favorite pizza place over their salad bar - I just hope that management actually reads these reviews and makes changes. Will I be back? Yes, again and again and again. I just won't be having salad!

If you want to feed the kids without busting the wallet, this is a good place for you. If you want anything other than that, then tuck tail and head somewhere else. The restaurant is small and when the crowd comes in you will be packed like sardines. The pizza is average, but worth it for the price.

Really delicious pizza! I've always been a fan of the thicker, softer crust pizzas but Shotgun Dan's thin crust was a revelation! Our server was really attentive and nice enough to point out to my friend & i that it would be cheaper for us to split a medium pizza rather than order 2 individual pizzas. She ordered half pepperoni and I got cheese & peppers on my half. The toppings were all fresh & delicious and the cheese was to die for! The crust is soft and wonderful. Definitely a Shotgun Dan's fan and will be going back soon:)

Marshall Matt Dillon: Festus?! We'd best saddle up and ride because Mad Yelper Dude and his band of roughians are here from Texas..and if there's a crazier fool of a man this side of the Mississippi then I don't wanna meet em' ! Festus: Mad Yelper Dude?! Why that no good, no count, low down, downright flea bitten, moth eaten' rotten scoundrel of a sorry excuse fer' a man and a dirty son of a durn...!!! Marshall Matt Dillon: EASY FESTUS! Save your energy for when we bring em' to justice!! Mad Yelper Dude: WELL YYEEEEEE FRIGGITTY HAAAAAAWW!!! Where am I? Am I at a rodeo?! No kids, I'm at SHOTGUN DAN'S!! Oh cool, you say! Is that a sporting goods store that sells outdoor gear and fishing supplies? Nope! Is it an indoor shooting range? Nope! Is it the home and lesser known tourist stop for the home of a famous outlaw?! Nope! Ummm..is Shotgun Dan some whacked out old school biker who in place of a prosthetic hook hand has a sawed off shotgun for a hand that he can fire while winking one eye and squeezing his ass cheeks together ?! NO WAY! Shotgun Dan's makes pizza and the place has been here for years! When nephew and niece who just moved to the area told me this was their favorite place I was HIGHLY skeptical. The place looks like an old wooden shack from the outside and has antique shotguns on display on the inside. In fact, they have one of the biggest gol' durned shotguns I have ever seen over the the window where waitresses take orders!! I don't think I will start any trouble in this place ! When traveling with my boy, I am going to have to eat some pizza somewhere along the road because kids live on the stuff. And if I am going to have a double barrel loaded for bear gluten toxic fun evening then it may as well taste good! And it DID! Shotgun Dan's uses a yeasty tasting yummy beer infused crust which makes for a tasty pie! We kept it simple with an Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, and the standard Cheese for a few little tykes. And talk about entertainment, well they have it! I was very excited to get a pitcher of Dos Equis Amber! Oh what a happy day! AND RETRO VIDEO GAMES for the kids. It was worth the entire stack of quarters to keep the kids playing Ms. Packman! Whoo Hoo for Shotgun Dan's Pizza. Weird as all hell but good pizza for a good price and even better yet, it was actually good. And with all the wooden walls and floors and the whole Western theme you don't have to worry about breaking anything or trying to be quiet because with a group of kids it just won't happen anyway! Oh yeah...and on that entertainment thing again..have you ever noticed how just about EVERYTHING is more entertaining after a couple of pitchers of beer?! Well it is! Don't take my word for it! Do your own field research and try for yourself! And do it for a pretty reasonable cost for a large group at Shotgun Dan's!! Pizza and Shotguns and a felle'r named Dan. Somehow it works! Whodda thunk it?!

Finally tried Shotgun Dans after hearing people rave about it for a year, and it sure didnt't live up to its hype. Slow service, cold and drafty on a cold day, and the pizza was not that great. Certainly not "the best in Little Rock" (go to Za Za for that!). Yes, it had TONS of topping on it, but it was cheap pork topping like some national chains have, and you cannot taste the sauce. It's not terrible, but we won't be back.
