This out of the way BBQ joint was suggested by a relative of the owner. It provided great BBQ on road trip from Little Rock to STL. I loved the BBQ pork nachos. They were saucy and meaty. They also were pretty tangy. I would heartily recommend them. The cole slaw and beans were forgettable.

I have had Couch's in Jonesboro over the years but this was my first time at this location in Paragould. Walk in and sit, not too busy on a Friday at 11:45am. I noticed they open at 5:30am so Breakfast is served. Service was a bit slow, but friendly. I ordered a Small Pork plate with beans and slaw, skipped the fries, also comes with Texas Toast. This BBQ was chopped and came out very fine, almost too small to pick up. My small plate was about one cup of fine chopped pork, dry and cold, like it had set for a long-time-while-cold, with a styrofoam coffee cup of beans and one of slaw. The beans were 50% sauce and tasty when you could hunt them down. Their slaw was very good, best part of the lunch. Frozen box Texas Toast and off-flavor. I like pulled pork but Couch's served chopped, so I was surprised. The fact it was so fine and cold was very disappointing. I wanted to get my server to try again but she was too busy and I didn't have a lot of time. Their sauce was in a bottle on the table. Orange-red with medium fire and ketchup-like consistency, not impressed. I ended up taking my hot runny beans and pouring the sauce over the small portion of pork to warm it up and get done. They do make decent ice tea. I won't go back, but will hit the original in Jonesboro next trip to see if they are as bad. Shame really. I had high expectations...

The breakfast at this place makes Waffle House look like a gourmet restaurant. The hash browns and bacon were greasy. The eggs were overcooked. The biscuits and gravy were acceptable and the service was good.

This place is average. I was expecting more... The BBQ salad I got (pictured) wasn't anything I can't fix at home. The ranch was out of packets... Comes off to me as cheap and generic. I'll eat here again, but I would rather try something else/new than come back. I didn't leave the waitress a tip either. As a former waitress rarely does that happen. But I felt like just another table and was checked on like it was a chore.

Had the BBQ Salad. The service was fantastic. The BBQ meat on the salad didn't have any sauce on it, which I liked so I could add my own. But it left it just a tad dry. Their BBQ sauce on the table had a very strong mustard taste. I prefer mine sweet.

Good standard BBQ fare in a town full of great BBQ. I have been goin to this place since before they moved to their new location, and I can say they continue a solid BBQ tradition. You can't go wrong trying the pulled pork plate with a choice of sides (slaw, beans and fries). The ribs are pretty good too. Oh, and they serve pretty good breakfast in the mornings.... try it out.

Keep driving, there is something better up the road. I don't know what but it would have to beat this BBQ joint. First of all it was the darkest restaurant I think I've ever eaten in. Seriously half the lights were turned off. I ordered a cola soft drink. The glasses said Pepsi but there was Coke label signs. Actually drinking some was no help, I still have no idea what that was. I ordered a beef plate. You know there's trouble when the freezer fries and Texas toast are the best looking things on the plate. The meat was probably good when it was cooked. The problem was it was cooked a long time before hitting my plate. Driest meat I've had in a very long time. The slaw looked good but I don't like slaw so I cannot comment on the taste. The beans came direct from a can and gave me some of the worst gas of my life! The service was quick but I would have sacrificed some of her speed for even a little friendliness. I would say mediocre all around.
