This place was great! Emphasis on "was" the placed burned down about a year ago, because some nasty smoker didn't know how to dispose of their cigarette properly or something. (Thanks!) There was and is no better steakhouse in Jonesboro that isn't way overpriced with mediocre food. Colton's is greatly missed not just by me but most people I talk to. Then again you always miss the things you can't have.

Umm... There is no coltons at the address listed. I should elaborate I guess. We showed up, the lot is leveled. Don't know where it would have been. Looks like an old taco bell to me. It was difficult to get to, the directions were confusing since it wasn't there at all that made it even more confusing. I don't recommend.

If there was one word to describe the visit, it would be "wait". We waited about twenty minutes to even speak to a hostess to get our names on the list, and waited almost two hours after that. Of course it wasn't their fault that half the population of Jonesboro has nothing else to do on a Saturday night, but there were several empty tables while there were at least thirty groups waiting. The food took longer than it should, even with all of the people in the restaurant. However, the night was not completely terrible because their peach sweet tea is to die for. I may or may not have consumed more tea than water that day. Everyone in my group loved their food and it wasn't overpriced. Keep in mind that Colton's is in a dry county and does not serve alcohol.

Uh oh...not a good night for a meal. Unfortunately, nothing was right about our visit. This was my first time eating at a Colton's and my first impression walking in was...its very dated. The "saloon" theme at this particular location is pretty worn so my thought was blah but maybe the food will make up for the atmosphere. We were seated and received our drinks which accompanied a bucket of peanuts and a basket of rolls with honey and buttered. About 10 min later, a rushed waitress (who wasn't the person who got us the rolls) walked up and said "you ready to order?" No introduction, no hi ya, no apology for the long wait. (FYI..we were there at 4:45ish and 1 of maybe 6 tables). OK...we ordered filets with baked potato and baked potato soup. Soup came out and was less than appealing. It had no flavor and reminded me of gravy. But the rolls were good! The meals arrived and my well done steak was bleeding and my baked potato was cold. My husband also had to send back his steak. While our steaks were being cooked again, I was brought another potato... But it was cold. Our waitress bought me a 3rd potato that was still cold. At this point I gave up and said it was fine... Our steaks finally came back but both were so burnt they were almost a joke. The waitress did apologize for the meal not going well and even complimented us for still having a smile on our face. We were offered my meal free as I didn't eat any of it. Please know that this is the 1st time ever that I was not able to eat my meal...I am not such a food snob to leave hungry! Unfortunately, the overall experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and won't be trying it again...

I normally avoid chains but 800 plus miles from home on a Sunday one cannot be too picky. The gentleman that greeted me at the front door was very personable. We talked about his favorite items on the menu, about ribs and about NC BBQ. He even checked in on me to see what I selected. Great first impression for the restaurant. The waitress was very quick and as sweet as honey which, by the way, they serve with the rolls. I ordered the ribs (dry) and steak withe the baked potato. Food was a solid 4 on the chain scale. The ribs were much better than the ones I had Friday night at a very famous rib place in downtown Memphis. The steak was cooked perfectly. I'm a big guy and a hearty eater but I could not finish my meal. The service and staff were great. The manager came by twice checking in. My tea glass never got below half. Overall great experience. I will be in town all week and I will be back here again.

We have been here many times so I am finally giving it a review. Every time I have been here the service has been wonderful, the food has been great and the atomosphere has been nice. with the exception of one time. I guess it was just a bad night for them. But it was early when we were there. I don't know what The problem was but I am still a fan. I am sure that all places have bad nights from time to time. I will keep going to Coltons. They have recently applied to become a private club and get their alcohol permit as well. Just like the rest of Jonesboro. The Wettest dry county I have ever been in. Ha!

This is a pretty average to below average Colton's. I've eaten many a meal here. It has went downhill over the years. The steaks aren't great anymore. Last time I was forced to go with our church group, I ordered a chicken wings appetizer, enjoyed the company, and ate when I got home.

Colton's is a very good place to eat. It doesn't offer anything exotic or particularly special, but what it does serve it serves well. The steaks are pretty good, and the rolls with butter and honey as extremely tasty. Although not original the peanuts and the shells on the floor are always an enjoyable touch. They over some really good drinks as well, their Peach and Raspberry sweet tea is excellent, and they are one of the few places you can get Iron Horse Root Beer which I think is absolutely fabulous. They also offer the opion of getting a baked sweet potato with butter and cinnamon/sugar as a side item, its really tasty.
