Family review...2 high fives, 2 not quites. This is our third road trip visit to Neighbor's Mill so our expectations are high...my Mufaletta with olive spread was fantastic but the chicken bbq sandwich "wasn't as good as last time" and the focaccia pizza (a last minute pivot) was too bready...choice remorse. We'd still come back though and this place is definitely worth going out of your way for.

If you are traveling through Arkansas headed north to Missouri or headed to Arkansas from Missouri, you have to eat at the Neighbor's Mill Bakery & Cafe. It is located in Harrison, Arkansas which is about 30 minutes south of Branson. Neighbor's Mill is a bakery full of freshly baked pastries, pies, cakes, cinnamon rolls, scones, muffins, cookies, which are all made daily on site. It is also a great place for soups, salads, and sandwiches which are made with their fresh bread. To me, the sandwiches are over the top because of the freshly baked bread. Reasonably priced breakfast fare. Standard plates. Good coffe, decent tea selections. Place was always busy but was easy to find seating and the food arrived in good time.

A great little hideaway sandwich shop. We had some of their bakery products and they are excellent. We will stop here again.

Great food, great coffee, great breads, great desserts, great tea...GREAT EVERYTHING!! This is my favorite place in Harrison to get a quick bite our to get some baked goods to go. Their double chocolate cookies are sinfully amazing. The pecan bourbon chocolate pie is my personal fav.

This is my favorite stop when traveling between home and Little Rock, AR. No matter if you are looking for breakfast, lunch, a sweet treat, or just a loaf of bread to take home, you will find something wonderful here. The dining area is very open with high ceilings, and makes for a nice place eat and chat. Or, you can get your food to go, and they'll have it ready for you super fast. Last time I was in I got the Chipotle Turkey Sandwich and a chocolate chip cookie to go. The sandwich was great - love the cheese bread, and it came with chips and a pickle. I couldn't believe how thick the cookie was when I grabbed it out of the bag! All around, a great place to eat and buy baked goods.

Love, love, love their homemade breads! The chicken salad is amazing. Along with the crunchy Asian salad. During lunch, it's more self service & then at dinner it turns into a full service restaurant. If you want a sweet treat, try their strawberry glazed sugar cookies or any of their in house made muffins or cookies!

Once again, Neighbor's Mill doesn't disappoint! Stopped on a busy summer Saturday for lunch, and although it was teeming with customers we received fast courteous service and outstanding cuisine. We enjoyed both the honey pecan chicken salad and the tuna salad along with our voice of the daily soups. A-mazing cream of carrot and chicken asparagus! Each order is made right in front of you with the best of service. The building is unique and spotlessly clean. Don't leave without a trip to tue bakery counter for fresh bread, cookies, muffins, etc! We recommend the "Woodsman" bread..rich I home baked flavor and texture with whole grains and sunflower seeds. Also recommend the pumpkin muffins.

Breakfast was such a treat, the cinnamon rolls were probably the best we have ever had! There were a number of coffee choices, I went with a latte (that was made perfectly) and my husband tried the chocolate almond latte and it too was great. We also tried the breakfast sandwich, they came out quick and were delicious. There are also a number of choices of breads, cookies and pies. We took home mini loaves of cranberry cream bread, strawberry pecan bread and peaches and cream bread. Can't wait to try them!!

Food delivery was a little slow. Food quality was excellent. Background music was pretty annoying. Food prices higher than other breakfast restaurants in the area. Given that you have to bus your own dishes after eating and fetch your own drink refills I would expect some kind of price concession. I was amazed at the size of the staff. There had to be twenty people behind the counter doing food prep, and there were fewer than a dozen customers present when we were there. We will return just because of the food even if it is a little overpriced.

What Yelper can say no to a place that advertises that they 'grind preservative free and organic grains grinded on a 100+ year old stone gristmill beginning at 3am and handcrafts two dozen different hearth breads'?? Not I. Plus, I wanted some pie with ice cream! I ordered a sandwich and soup combo priced very well at 6.29. This was perhaps the best tuna fish sandwich I have every had ANYWHERE. The bread was soft, the tuna fish salad was perfect, and the soup was hot and delicious. This place was packed when I came in but they are fast and efficient in helping their customers. I was seated almost right away and they brought me a basket of bread varieties. To finish my meal, I tried for the first time a Bumbleberry pie and I wish I could have an entire pie that I can devour. I absolutely love this place and I am glad that Yelp found it for me :)

We have stopped here often down through the years. My favorite is their strawberry bread! Delicious.

Have stopped twice now in the past week. Stopped first on a Saturday afternoon. HUGE lines for lunch so we just picked up a loaf of strawberry pecan bread. It disappeared within a day. Stopped by again on a Weds afternoon to see if we could avoid the lines for lunch. Success! All of our sandwiches were very good (grilled cheese, bbq chicken, and one other chicken sandwich) and my tomato basil soup was also great. Bought some sweets for later - chocolate cake, turtle cheesecakes, apple cinnamon scone (I think?) and cinnamon roll. All were excellent and also short-lived.

I enjoyed everything we had to eat, especially the French dip sandwich. So good. And the cinnamon rolls are awesome. I liked the coffee drinks they had as well. Nice environment. No complaints here. I'll be back, for sure.

Anything you order will be absolutely delicious. I'm a big fan of the chicken pecan salad sandwich. Make sure you pick up a loaf of bread or fresh muffin in the way out.

Their food is good, however, I wish they had table service instead of the line to the counter.

I love this place! Their avocado turkey is the best! Their bread is fresh. It's all homemade!

Oh Neighbor's Mill, how I do wish you were in NW Arkansas!!! Every time I go to or through Harrison, I stop here for breakfast, coffee, lunch, or just bread. Love their bread. I wait and get my bread there even though I am surrounded by perfectly lovely bakeries at home. I really like the light wheat. The staff is wonderful but let me tell you, this place can get crowded, so plan accordingly, but don't miss it. And join their coffee and/or bread club so you can get free stuff. Also they have a nice points rewards system. I am always getting emails for a free cookie or cup of soup or something.

I've been in town two days and I feel cheated that no one told me about this place. There's a reason why it's always packed

Amazing! Fresh, homemade, delicious, I can't come up with enough words for how great it. On my way to Little Rock and a perfect place to stop. I couldn't even stop with dinner I had to know what desert was like! Go there now!!! Can't wait to go back.

On my recent vacay to Arkansas, there are a few things that stood out to me. 1. My relatives are the most hospitable folks ever. Southern Hospitality is off the hook. I felt like a king the entire time. 2. The nature is amazing in Arkansas. Forests, hills, mountains, rivers, caves, wildlife. Really cool. 3. There are some legit hillbillies in Arkansas. Oh pardon me, Arkansas/Americans is what they prefer to be called. 4. Outlaw Country. Yes it is. 4. I was unprepared for the quality and quantity of food I ate on my adventure. Which leads me to my review of this place. Upon entering, you can smell the wholesome authenticity of this establishment. I ate a chicken salad sammich upon recommendation; it was killer. I don't know what their trick is, yet it tastes fresher and better than any chicken salad in the history of ever. None of those pesky grapes and walnuts, just pure glory. In addition, I discovered something called "scones". They were decadent. I brought some back to SD and shared them with the friends that picked me up from the airport. They loved 'em as much as I did. This Bakery takes pride in their work and is completely grassroots. More power to an independent business that has wound up being successfully. Always a line of happy people waiting to sample the unique and good foods here. I may be spoiled with an intense array of cultures, food, music, and people in SD, yet if you're in the area, you gotta stop by here.

I wish I could give Neighbors Mill five stars for the food but the service really was a tremendous disappointment. The waitress acted like she had no idea of what was going on. It took forever to get waited on and then forever again to get our drinks. By then we were ready to order but she said she had something else to do then walked off. Finally she came back and took the order and when she brought it to the table part of it was not on the plate. Tell me how you can order the salad sampler and it didn't include the actual salad. Then I needed a refill on my drink and she takes the glass and never brings it back. I had to go to the drink machine and another waitress just handed me a glass that was sitting there with Coke in it. I just assumed it was mine. Later the waitress brings me "my" glass. Who knows who I had been drinking after. They might have had herpes or some dreaded disease. But the damage is done now. My advice to the owners of this restaurant - 1. Don't even consider franchising other restaurants until you can fix your own. 2. When somebody needs a refill just bring another glass instead of mixing customers' saliva and diseases together. 3. Hire employees who know how to wait tables and get orders right. 4. Listen to your customers' complaints and use them to improve your business, else you won't have any more customers. Far too many businesses fail to understand this one simple bit of advice and look what happens. This was my one and only visit, and I doubt I will be back. I visited on 11/29 at 5:36pm, ticket # 5774, waitress was Lauren W (and not a very good one at that, she should consider herself extremely lucky that I left a tip at all)

Although I did have lunch at this place (that would be a 3 star at most, "i wish I had gone to Bread Co" instead review), my review is based on the bread alone. The bread is delicious. It's dense, flavorful, and the options are plentiful. My one complaint would be that I'd prefer the bread sliced a bit thicker. I picked up the sourdough (love the subtlety) and the apple cinnamon almond (which I presume will make some fine french toast). If I were driving back through the area in the future, I'd probably pass on lunch but would definitely stop in to get some great baked bread.

OMG this place is the bomb! We dropped by on a road trip for breakfast. We ordered a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on their spinach feta bread, a sticky bun, cinnamon roll (the size of my head), a bagel, lemon poppy seed muffin and 2 drinks all for only $17! All of it was sooo good and all homemade. I wish I lived closer to this place. The place is super clean and rustic. They also have a large lunch menu. They sale their breads as well.

Incredible pastries, breakfast sandwiches...you can't go wrong with anything. This place is an absolute gem!! Their baked goods are perfection. Awesome breakfast sandwiches. Great coffee and beautiful ambiance. Do not miss this place. If you are a foodie this is your place.

I'll be honest. This is not my favorite place in town. The breads are wonderful, that's true. Nobody can argue with that! However, the seating is uncomfortable (wooden booth seats, woven-seat wooden chairs) and something about the acoustics make the seating area loud and unpleasant. It doesn't make me want to stick around. My husband and I tried their dinner service a couple of times and were very disappointed-- seems like the owner's not around and the staff didn't really seem to know how to run a full-service restaurant. The pasta was way overcooked and waterlogged, meals didn't come out at the same time, et cetera. It's a decent spot for a quick muffin or lunch, but it's not a place where I want to linger or chat.

Closest thing to a Panera Bread or Atlanta Bread Co. you'll see in this area, but with a homey feel. Food is consistently good and service is ok. The chicken pecan salad sandwich and tomato basil soup is my favorite, but they also do a good job with breakfast! I hit this place everytime I'm in town.

When we travel thru Harrison, we time it so we can stop here. Clean, Fresh, Delicious & Fast are words that come to mind. We have only done breakfast or lunch. Excellent atmosphere, not funky or dated.

Good coffee and pastries and surprisingly reasonable prices. The lunch menu looks amazing; today's special is a grilled turkey and avocado sandwich on spinach feta bread. They also have focaccia pizzas and at dinner, serve a few pasta dinners. Definitely worth the stop.

The food here is excellent. Fresh and homemade. Their baked goods are incredible and must be tried. The entree menu is limited to pasta dishes. Their choices of soups, salads and sandwiches is very good. The chicken pecan salad is very tasty!
