I visited Hardy for about five days recently, and we ate here four times! The food was delicious every time! As vegetarian options can be hard to come by in this area, we really appreciated that they offered a vegetarian English breakfast and veggie burger. I also loved the fish and chips and mushy peas. The owner Philip made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door, and the rest of the staff were very attentive and friendly. I'm sure we'll be returning to this place again and again, when we're in the area!

Enjoyed lunch with my sisters! Missed out on the pasty but scored a succulent ham sandwich with a heavenly bread pudding..no sharing!! My sister ordered herself one to go and did not share! Will definately return again..

We drove super fast to make it here 15 minutes before they closed. We were treated great and the food was amazing. The fish and chips are the best I have ever had. The mushy peas were so good I wanted a full meal of them next time. Amazing treat in a little town. We will be back!!! Went back again the next night and had bangers and mash. Really good also. My girlfriend had chicken tikka masala and she loved it. We split a scone again for desert and loved it. You can't go wrong eating at the Pig and Whistle.

This is a must do while in the area. The owners and staff are great and the food was excellent. Classic dishes like Bangers and mash and fish and chips bring an authentic British feel to to the Ozarks.

Such a great meal! My family, 8 of us, ate here 4th of July weekend while we were in town from St. Louis. Had fish and chips, bangers and mash and shepherds pie. Finished with bread pudding. Service and food were all wonderful! Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere. Owners are very friendly and entertaining. They have a wonderful story and it really shows in the experience you have here. I had the classic fish and chips and loved every bite. I would dine again!

I've been coming to area for over thirty years. What a neat restaurant to have in a darling town. The food was excellent. The owners are delightful. The fish and chips were outstanding. Had a nice glass of wine which just so you know this country was DRY until very recently. This restaurant is helping put Hardy back on the map.

Was closed so not sure if open anymore but wanted to try it out. Coming back in the summer because they say some shops only open during tourist season

We came for dinner, I've been coming to this area my entire life, my grandparents live here! (27 yrs!). I have NEVERRRRR had such amazing food here!!! We all started off with a different beer, Killians, Boddigtons (the owners favorite), and Bass Pale Ale, ALL AMAZING! Then we got the chips and curry which was phenomenal! Then we all 3 got different 'traditional' English dishes: Fish and Chips with Mushy Peas, Cornish Pasty, and Bangers and Mash. They were all too good for words! We are topping dinner off with Bread and Butter pudding and Scone with Cream, both were also amazing! The service is impeccable and a great casual atmosphere! We're returning for Sunday Roast tomorrow!

The same excellent service and top quality food as always. That Fish'n Chips is to die for! 3 voices stated this in our company. The 4th had an English breakfast - best ever!

I met my parents in Hardy for lunch yesterday. As the owner was opening up for the day, I thought this guy is authentic and was I ever right. The food and the service were both excellent. I highly recommend the fish and chips (and thanks for the smaller portion option). Hardy is lucky to have you!

Best place in town! So refreshing to have a cup of beer. The owners are beyond nice. The menu is unique and oh so British. Love the decor! If you're driving by, you have to stop in. This has to be the best place I have been to in Hardy, Ash Flat, and Cherokee Village!

Had the shepherds pie and it was delicious. It was a perfect portion for me, but my husband was not satisfied.

Ate lunch here during a visit to historic Hardy, AR. It's a British-style cafe, serving fish and chips, BLTs, etc. The fish and chips were very tasty: fish fried to perfection, and fries seasoned and fried just right. Soup of the Day when we came was Corn Chowder, which was pretty good, although a little too salty. They also have a specialty meat pie type dish called Cornish Pasty (yes, pasty, not pastry). I ordered this, and was pleasantly surprised. I'm told that British food in general is rather bland, as was this no exception, but it was still very good. It's a pastry (think, empanada) filled with beef, potatoes and a gravy. It's enough food for a lunch meal. Service was good. TV was playing the World Cup. Tons of British paraphernalia covering the walls. Would I go back? Sure! Good food, good prices, good service.

We stopped here on a very long roadtrip for lunch. We had the pot roast (Sunday's special) and it was the best roast I've ever had. We'll definitely stop here our next time through.

The service was great and the food was the best we had in the area and in AR. I would recommend everything and the bread pudding. We had 10 of us and two picky eaters and all of us loved it.

Best English Breakfast I have had since my time in England. And as good as any I had there. Amazing cheesecake as well. Decor is very authentic and fun. The owners and staff are great. Wish I lived in Hardy just so I can go here every week.

Not entirely bad, but for what you get, a bit pricy. Fish and chips were not completely cooked. Shepherds pie not as I would expect from a "true" English fare.
