Not use to frozen custard but like it better than ice cream. Really nice folks here. I don't usually get plain, but the plain chocolate is great.

Frozen custard is probably so bad for you, but I was visiting from CA, so had to try some dessert. I had the regular custard flavor and added in blueberries and chocolate chunks. It was so good! You can definitely get the smallest size. It's plenty!

Milkshakes are my favorite thing in the world - miniature cupcakes being a close second. Shake's vanilla shake with caramel and strawberries is the shake I crave when nothing else will satisfy me. I had thought about that shake for years since I moved away from Arkansas. This past fourth of July, I stopped in and ordered it again - not only was I satiated, those with me regretted their choices based on the taste of this shake. The phrase "if you love it so much, why don't you marry it?" makes me want to buy that shake a ring and have tiny baby shakes running around for all eternity.

This is the first ever Shake's Frozen Custard I have ever tried ... and I must say, I am very impressed. Shake's reminds me of a popular frozen custard chain I used to visit in some of the Midwestern states from time to time. The quality of the custard here is excellent, and there is a bit of variety in the products served there as well. Shake's offers custard desserts with either the custard by itself in a cup, the custard as a shake, or even the custard mixed with pieces of your favorite candy or flavored syrup. Also, the person who waited on me, and took my order, was very friendly. I really enjoyed the quality of the dessert, and the customer service. ...so, if I liked it so much, why did I only give 4 stars? Here's why; it has to do with the layout of the actual store's building itself. There's good news, and there's bad news. The good news is that the building has two drive-thru lanes (one for the driver side, and one for the passenger side,) as well as an order counter at the front of the building. The bad news (and the reason I didn't give 5 stars) is the fact that there is no interior seating for customers. This could be a decision made on a higher level than the store's management, but since I ordered this food during one of the colder months of the year and wanted to sit down immediately and enjoy my dessert, I only had the choices of eating outside, in my vehicle, or wait until I got all the way back home to start eating, and I didn't really like any of those choices. I ended up going home, and since frozen dairy products melt over time, I ended up eating a partially-melted dessert. But, even with that, the dessert tasted incredible. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend getting some frozen custard from Shake's Frozen Custard, and this location definitely has friendly employees ready to take your order for them to serve your their frozen custard greatness!

There used to be a couple of Shakes in Columbia MO. Always thought it was the best frozen custard I ever had. These are no longer open. What a surprise while on vacation and I searched for ice cream and Shakes came up. I couldn't get there fast enough to see if it was the same. It was! It was everything I remembered. We had been eating frozen custard at Andy's out of necessity. Shakes has everyone beat hands down. Please return to my area!
