We dropped in for a late lunch on a weekday. The place was deserted. It was bright, clean and the staff was friendly. I got a half a royal sandwich and soup combo. My wife got a salad. We were served our food within minutes of sitting down outside on the patio. The chicken sausage gumbo soup came in a huge bowl. It was savory, a little bit spicy and very filling. The half sandwich was flavorful and served on a lightly toasted baguette. I was very satisfied. The wife's salad was served in a large bowl also and had lots of meat in it. She asked to have her dressing tossed into the Dallas rather than in the side and it was just enough - not drowned. It was also delicious. Overall, quite pleased with our spontaneous choice to try this place.

Doubt it will last. I ordered 1/2 sandwich & salad combo. I asked for no cheese, but they forgot & put it on the sandwich. The salad was DRENCHED in dressing. The server forgot to give me silverware so has to go ask for it. Basically, even though they've been open a few months, everyone seems like they're still figuring it out. Also, the menu is weirdly placed, making it difficult to order. Won't be back- much better places around.

I really enjoy Newks. It is clean, has fresh selections, and the food has always been great. Definitely a place I take those who visit from out of town.

Just another flavor of the month restaurant at this seemingly cursed location. Prices are way too high for the portions. Can't wait to see what will replace it.

Clean new restaurant but prices are too high for what you get. I haven't had anything bad yet though

Cool little eatery, much like a McCalister's Deli. Good menu, they have cold beer at the front on ice, and friendly service. The interior is very cool and welcoming. Every thing we had was very good, and I am sure we will be back.

Beautiful place with friendly service. Seems like a great place to enjoy conversation with friends. I had the royal with fruit; it was ok but nothing great.

Went in for lunch on a week day. Ordered the full pimento and bacon mac & cheese with Tippah caviar (black eye pea salad) it was delicious. Took half to go. Big portion. I'll go back and definitely tell my friends to go too.

This is my second visit to Newk's. The first time my pizza was very good & so I returned to get a salad today. I had the Southern. The chicken salad part was great, but the lettuce was so damaged by being stored at too cold of a temperature that it is terribly mushy around the edges besides being cut into pieces that are much too large to eat. So after 10 minutes of sorting out the bad lettuce & cutting it up to a reasonable size, the salad was OKAY. I'm probably not going to return to this location.

Menu is pretty straightforward. Tried one of their pizzas. Flavor was great but the crust is limp despite being thin crust. Wife had a soup and salad. Soup was good and Caesar salad was good. All in all, clean and friendly restaurant but everything seemed like something you could whip up at home.

I was so disappointed in this place! I wanted to like, in fact, I wanted to love it! My sister, my friend, and I all decided we would try it out. I read over the menu, I planned and picked and when the time finally arrived...they let me down. I wanted to Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese. They do not offer that at this location, so I got a pizza and regular mac and cheese. My sister went for a salad and mac and cheese and my friend got a different pizza and...yet again..mac and cheese. Wow, I have never in my life had such bad macaroni and cheese! It was bland, mushy, flavorless, and just terrible. The noodles were WAY overcooked, the cheese sauce was more just milk and flour, and overall, it was not edible. I added salt and pepper, hot sauce, and roasted garlic, hoping one of those would make this good. Nope, nothing! My pizza was ok, Ive had better at Cicis and its WAY cheaper and just next door. My sisters salad was ehhh...again, nothing special. They have this bar thing in the middle with packaged breadsticks and all sorts of things on it. There are capers, bread and butter pickles, the aforementioned roasted garlic, and a few other things. The packaged breadsticks were kind of like really long, unsalted crackers. I also had a piece of their caramel cake, it was dense, heavy, and gross. I ended up only taking a couple of bites and getting rid of that too. Servers were nice, management was present and kind, but overall, the food has to make you want to come back....and this food....makes me want to stay far far away!

Sandwiches are composed with LOTS of bread. This is a turn-off for me. However, the tortilla soup is just right with a frosted glass of cold beer.

My daughter and I had dinner there last week. We sampled the 4 cheese Mac and pizza. The pizza crust was a little limp for thin crust and the cheese pizza seemed overly greasy. The Mac and cheese was pretty tasty. The service was quick and the staff friendly. All in all we would go back, but would not e a first choice for pizza night.
