I like Madam Wu's. We rarely eat at the restaurant but get take-out from there quite a bit. They have really good Crab Rangoon. I have tried several things on their menu and it has always been tasty and well prepared. Portions are pretty big. I recommend this place. It IS a little pricier than some of the other Chinese restaurants in town, but it seems to me like the ingredients are of a higher quality than most.

This is Chinese food as Good as it Gets around here! This update is based on dozens of take out experiences A little weird inside, very formal with funeral home style music playing over the funeral home style speakers in the ceiling. There seem to only be 2 or 3 servers and only one on at any particular time. This works out for them because they never seem to be busy. Back to the servers, they are a little strange, one Anglo young man with a flock of seagulls haircut and one Asian young man who barely speaks English and acts like at his former job, he was beaten if he made eye contact with you or spoke too loudly. I am not trying to poke fun at them, but it the truth. There is a third person you may see, a 40something Asian lady who speaks ZERO English, yet they let her answer the phone? I do get her from time to time on the phone for my to gos, and I usually have to make sure she understands the order at the end. After saying all of that, the food is exceptional. If you are dining in or just waiting for a togo, you will hear the sounds of food being cooked in the wok and fryers and your food will come out hot! No unremarkable gelatinous matter on your plate, always fresh veggies and proteins. Best Eggroll anywhere I've been by far in NWA General Tso's -9 Beef with Broccoli - 9 Chinese Taco (app) -10 Egg Rolls -10 Rangoon - 8 lo mein- 8 moo shu pork -- 10 Mongolian beef - 9 moo Goo - 9 Egg drop and Hot and Sour soup - 10 Quantity - 10 Freshness - 10

for $60 we got: potstickers mu shu chicken chow mein w/pork crab appetizer thing with cream cheese mixed veggies in light sauce broccoli in garlic hot sauce shrimp in lobster sauce 2 boxes of rice pretty good deal, pretty good food too. Favorites were the veggies by far. I recommend the broccoli in garlic hot sauce (if u like broccoli that it...), the noodles were okkkkay (mediocre), potstickers were average, just like other potstickers from a semi-fast food type Americanized Chinese food restaurant. rest of the stuff was not exceptional, but good. Don't expect gourmet Chinese food...you're in Fayetteville (not a fan...). But it was open on Thanksgiving and was fairly prices, so its OK.

I will eat pretty much anything, but Asian Chinese Restaurant (formerly Madame Wu's) is a place I will never eat again. My fiance and I went there on a Saturday night and the place was empty. It seemed to be staffed by one very soft-spoken, inaudible waiter. We ordered the Family Combination meal with chicken and vegetables. The soup appetizers we had were fine, but the rest of our $12.95 meal was inedible. The chicken was under cooked and very greasy. Our egg rolls were soggy, and tasted like they were fried in old grease. Our fried rice was very dry as if it was left overs. When we the waiter brought us take home boxes for all of our left over, uneaten food, we told him there was no need. He never once inquired about why we weren't eating anything, if our order was okay, and why we wouldn't be taking it with us. I really couldn't disapprove of this restaurant any more than I do. The only purpose this place serves is if you need a place to get indigestion, diarrhea, and nausea deliberately.

Dined here for dinner, 8/4/2010 My visit to Madame Wu's was a strong example of the problem with restaurant review sites. By reading reviews, you visit an establishment with a certain expectation of what you will find, a prejudicial opinion of a restaurant. Having read strong reviews of Madame Wu's, both on Yelp and on other sites, I went in expecting both a quality meal and a fairly high price tag. I received one of the two. I usually eat Chinese food as take out, and this meal was no exception. I ordered the sesame chicken, an egg roll, wontons, and pan fried dumplings (hey, i skipped lunch!). My bill was just shy of $20. While that isn't beyond the pale, it is a bit high, but considering the quality i was expecting, I was fine with it. My food was an exercise in both grease and bland flavors. The dumplings were the worst offenders in both categories. The dumpling skins were completely unseasoned and flavorless, and the pork filling, while a nice texture, had little to no flavor or spice. The sauce was essentially grease flavored with chili peppers and was near inedible. The egg roll had an ok flavor, but was completely drenched in grease, and did not come with any sort of dipping sauce (just the standard mustard packets). The wontons were alright, though simply a folded wonton skin, they were unfilled. They were crisp, and of the four dishes, the least greasy. The chicken in the sesame chicken appeared to be a frozen product, and not hand made. The broccoli was limp, and the sauce was both unbalanced (very sweet, no spice) and very greasy. The portions were, indeed, big, but the low quality did not justify the pricing. As standard issue chinese food, this would have been acceptable. But given the reputation and pricing, this meal was not in any way what I expected. I cannot recommend this restaurant at this time, though I may give them a second chance at some point in the future.

American-chinese food, just okay since there's not much option for chinese food in fayetteville anyway.

Very nice restaurant. I was very impressed with atmosphere. Good service, and good food. Stopped in for lunch. Not crowded. Food was plentiful and served hot. Two scopes if fried rice. Plus there is 15% off coupon at register. If you haven't been here I would suggest you try Ito

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
