I had the BLT on marble rye with fresh avocado and sprouts. My wife had the petite angus burger. Everything was fresh and made to order. Delicious! Wait staff was very attentive and kept our drinks filled.

It's a real shame that my first trip to Janssens in several years had to start with the owner being unbelievably rude. When we walked in they had a sign that read "Please seat yourself". When we started to go find a table Beth stopped me and said other people were waiting to be seated and I was jumping in front of them. I told her the sign said seat yourself and she rolled her eyes and made a face mumbling something. Wow! Who does that? I went and turned the sign to "please wait to be seated." We were there before 5:00 to beat the crowd, so I guess the sign had not been turned to please wait to be seated and there was only 1 couple standing at the register when we walked in. It's not like people were standing everywhere waiting for a table. Regardless, there was no reason for her to act like that. She should be setting the customer service bar for the rest of her staff. The food was excellent and our waitress was friendly and attentive. I give over all 3 stars because of Beth. Food: 5 stars Service from waitress: 5 stars Service from Owner: 0 stars

We enjoyed the walleye and New York Strip. The asparagus was cooked to perfuction. Robin was an excellent server checking back frequently even though it was getting busy. This place is definitely a place to try if you want a enjoyable dinner and selection!

I am a local, and the food is nothing special and just average food. the real down side to the place is the staff they are rude and very unhelpful and they are proud of that fact just look at the mounted letter they have when you put your name on the list. But they do keep a full house because of the fact that it is one of the limited places to order a drink in the county.

We are locals so we have been to Janssens early, late, weekdays, you name it. The service is excellent food wuality is superb. Great menu. Be patient when you go because it is worth the wait.

Best food around Greer's Ferry lake. Check the hours not open every day. Upscale food for Arkansas and the best cheesecake anywhere in the world (yes I've tried the cheesecake in a dozen countries) and I have the butt to prove it.

Pulled in from the lake and saw the rude sign. Turned around and walked out. We were a group of 8. It's just a matter of time before this place with their customer no service will be out of business.

As a local, this is our favorite restaurant. During the summer, especially on a holiday weekend, you'd better get there before 6:00pm or expect to wait. After 7:00 expect your wait to be up to an hour. I have never had anything there that was not great. The desserts are amazing. You must try the Wham-Bam Shrimp!

Ate brunch here today got there at 9 right when they opened and had to wait about 5 min to get seated. Staff was friendly and our waitress was very sweet. Brunch had everything you could hope for and delicious made to order omelets. Enjoyed a mimosa and Baileys and coffee. I will definitely be back and can't wait to try lunch and dinner here.

We ate here on a Thursday evening at about 6 p.m. and found only 3-4 other tables occupied. About 7 p.m. the restaurant was full except for counter seats. Our interior table had a nice view of the lake. We ordered the pork shank which came with an orange-chipotle suace. The sauce was cloying sweet and we quit eating the shank due to its sweetness. We saw several others having the pork shank as well. We also tried the fried catfish which was corn meal encrusted and not spicy. Instead of potatoes, we had the vegetable of the day, carrots and snap peas. The carrots were fork tender. The restaurant is located in a "dry county" but operates a private membership club which serves wine. We had a nice meal and will hopefully be back this fall when the leaves are turning.

I can't say enough about how great this place is. I have been here many times and have never had a bad experience. The food and staff are always outstanding. I always feel as though they go above and beyond to make your experience pleasant. And yes there is a wait during the months of April to September but hey that is summer for you! They are on the lake and they do serve booze so why wouldn't people what to get away and have a nice evening.?! If people are in a hurry I advice they go to a FAST FOOD place!!! If you are in a hurry and on the boat, pack a cooler. The girls out front and the guys in the kitchen bust their ass each and every night to get out your food in a reasonable fashion. As for Nadia L, I just so happened to be there the night her incident occurred. She wasn't wearing shoes. The owner proceeded to tell her no shirt, no shoes, no service. She and three of her friends were very intoxicated and showed their asses in front of my family! I was not impressed! The owner tried to talk to her and she wasn't listening so the owner started talking to one of the guys she was with. That is where I guess the sexist comment is coming into place; I couldn't tell you where the racist comment comes in. I never heard her say anything about her ethnic background (Turkish I believe). The owner even tried to sell the young ladies flip flops but they were beyond helping. Just drunk! The owner had to call the law! I feel as though if everyone were here as much as the regulars people would understand why they have to put a sign up! I highly recommend this place and will continue to keep bringing my kids here as long as it's open! Love it!
