Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

This TGI is always clean and friendly! I can go to other places when I'm in town, but I come back here time and time again. The food is always hot, fresh and just the way I ordered it! I think I have tried everything and started over!

We are lunch here, we arrived just as it was opening so it was easy to find parking near the entrance. I ordered a new appetizer called French Onion dumpling, it is a won ton wrapper filled with onion soup gravy and deep fried, it was not bad. My bourbon chicken was rather tasteless, broccoli Was steamed perfectly, overall it was just another fast food meal, I had forgotten how run of the mill their food is.

How do I write this? When asked if I wanted to go to TGI Fridays all I could think was, "why would Anyone want to go there?" TGI is like Chili's right? They're just herpes spreading across the landscape. I agreed and was actually..impressed with the menu. They had options. Odd appetizers, boneless wings made me feel the pain of every chicken in that processing plant who'd been mashed into a crate its entire life with the inability to spread it's wings and get pecked to death by it's crate mates. Oh, who'm I kidding! It's deep fried protein nuggets with crazy sauce thrown on top. I'm an American! I love this shit. The potato bomb chicken sriracha wasn't overly spicey but had enough heat to keep me interested. The tostada chicken appetizer had enough cabbage, cilantro and a jalapeno slice on it to give me the illusion of health. I love that. Overall, I'd say I was ok with the whole event. I didn't feel as dirty as I at first thought. When all was said and done I'd had my fill for about $11 not including tip. I won't be heading here every night but when in AR do as the AR do.

Although we had a little trouble getting silverware the food was yummy. I had the Jack Daniels Chicken and my hubby had the JD burger. I had the sweet potato fries but they were overseasoned. They made me some fresh ones. The chicken was really good. I would say the only problem I had was when I paid, I paid with a $100 Bill and she kept the change part which was nearly a dollar. I had every intention of leaving her a nice rounded up tip. I felt it was a bit presumptuous of her. Other than that it was a good food and friendly service.

You either like it here or you don't. We've come a couple times in the last month or so, like to try different things. It's all been good so far. I DO like the beer choices! Good atmosphere and friendly staff, overall I'd give it 3 1/2+ stars. I mean it's the same as others in this restaurant genre, and it's just as different. I believe everyone can find something they'd like here. We'll be back again.

The food was okay the service was okay couldn't get the mango tea to taste very good, I think the mail run out of sugar that day but at any rate it was an OK place to eat at least for today.

Went here over the weekend with a few friends, and just wasn't that impressed. The food was alright but I have had much better for the same price or cheaper. I figured ordering a burger and fries wouldn't be a big gamble for it tasting good, but the burger wasn't very good. The bread was soggy, and the meat didn't taste very well and it was also too pink inside and I hate that. It's like they seasoned the outside of the meat only. The fries were good, and the service wasn't bad. The atmosphere was wonderful, but I will not give them a good rating when that is the only thing they have going for them. What you purchase off the menu should be at least almost meeting your expectations and they were way off the mark in my book. One of my friends who ordered wasn't very happy with their meal either. If you want a place to just get drinks and enjoy the atmosphere this is the place, but if you want a place with good food I'd look somewhere else. I'm sure some of their food is great, but that was not our experience during our visit.

IGood service. Food was served cold, burnt and was so salty that I could hardly swallow it. When I informed the manager about the experience he made a bunch of excuses that I really don't care about. Will never return to this establishment.

Service was a bit slow but in their defense it was really busy for a Monday night. The food was great and the portions adequate. I really appreciated our server offering to-go drinks when he realized we were just traveling through the area.

Disclaimer: I like TGI Friday's. I enjoyed a late lunch at TGIF's Conway location on Feb. 1, 2011. The entire experience was good, just as it is at all other TGIF locations I've visited. This company has apparently perfected its staff training. Everyone "gets the memo." Anyhow, my food - Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta - was very good; the service was prompt and friendly; the atmosphere was standard-issue Friday's: funky, relaxing and upbeat; the facility was spotless and well organized. I'll return for more the next time I'm in town.
