Let me begin by saying JJ's has good food and excellent drinks. This is great provided you can get a staff member who is actually willing to walk across the room and get them for you. The past few times I have dined at JJ's the service has been slipping. The staff are no longer friendly or polite. They all seem to believe that they have better things to do and that customers are a nuisance. Despite the fact that I am a regular, am very neat and orderly, and tip generously after working in the food service industry for a long period of time, the staff at JJ's all seem to think that it is simply not worth the time or effort to do their jobs in serving myself or my friends as customers. Tonight was especially awful and likely the last time I will walk into the business. Our table was seated and had no trouble getting our first round of drinks. After that, we were largely ignored by Amanda C, our waitress. The service was very slow and everything seemed thrown together. At three separate occasions I attempted to order another drink and some food. All three times ended with Amanda C walking off without paying attention. When she came to refill the waters we had she refilled everyone except the people immediately next to me and my own. Over the course of an hour and a half our party was ignored and received poor to nonexistent service. This is the third or fourth time I have had similar issues in the past few weeks. When my bill arrived, Amanda C had not calculated my drinks at any of the special rates or discounts of the day. At this point I realized the business was no longer worth going to. While I used to enjoy both the food and drink specials, being mistreated and ignored is not worth my time or money. I strongly recommend that you, your friends, and your family find somewhere else to dine. You can get American style bar food anywhere. You can get the drinks they have anywhere. Why not get them somewhere that you'll be noticed and taken care of?

The food was great the service phenomenal. What more can a person ask for? They even had a live band there last night and although he was really loud he was very good. Kinsey was our server and she was amazing. Can't wait to come back and bring the family!!

If I lived in Conway, this would be my watering-hole. Wide menu selection, cheap beer (by California standards), ample TVs, great service, friendly people. While the food was 'acceptable,' it's a bar. I don't think you walk in expecting the bar food to be Michelin worthy. Greasy, tasty, something to allow me to consume more beer- good enough for me. Additional points for hosting the weekly Univ. Central Arkansas Basketball Coach, Corliss Williamson's radio show. It's never a bad thing to see/hear a former NBA great. And while I won't say that the waitress dress code is something to come for, it certainly doesn't hurt once you're in the door.

This place would be a perfect little small town bar if it were not for one glaring oversight by the managerial staff. I am talking about their decision to allow people to reserve seats IN A BAR. This is not a high end restaurant, this is a tiny bar and you are losing money every game day by not having those seats full on a continual basis, something that is impossible when half of your tables are being reserved for parties that will not arrive for hours. Sure, if you push for it, they will seat you there, with constant reminders that you are on borrowed time. It is mind-boggling how this came to be. You will not see this sort of behavior anywhere else in town. I'm just waiting for a rival bar to come in and wipe this place off the map with such a trivial change.

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a bite, drink & watch a basketball game on a mid-Saturday afternoon. Not too crowded at 5:00 pm, but was packed by 7:00 pm. (See my last line below --- YEE HAW! Yes, the waitresses all had very short skirts & liked to flaunt their low-cut shirts, but they were friendly and provided good service without being overbearing. We shared the chicken strips (edwin style - they put the buffalo sauce on, then deep fry them, so they are crispy, but dry and less spicy than when regular/wet). They were served hot and very delicious. Onion rings were also served hot and were tasty. Also had the regular salad with grilled chicken and it was very good. Great, fresh mix of greens and the chicken was flavorful, tender & moist. Prices were reasonable, restaurant was clean & lots of TVs to view. Several tables were reserved for a party arriving at 6:30, so it was cool to see that you can reserve a spot for all your Friends/Family. We both agreed that if we lived closer, we would frequent this place often. BONUS: We were there for happy hour = $2.00 domestic beers & $2.50 wines. Can't beat that!!! Our tab for all the food above and several drinks was $50.00.

It's an OK location, a bit small compared to others and the staple guests were all old mid life crisis types. Went there on a Monday for live music but they had football on instead which was unexpected since they advertise live music every night. The bar tender went out of his way to make us feel welcome which was nice. The girls wear short skirts and were mostly good looking which makes sense in a city with 3 colleges. Not many younger guests though. There seems to be a karaoke setup too. Prices were a bit better than average on drinks. Outside area for smokers has a tv so good for them. Parking is alright but police are creeping. A couple of other joints are walking distance.

Pretty busy place. The bartender talked me into purchasing a bucket of 5 beers for $10, and he popped the top off of everyone of them....didn't care for that but it didn't ruin my night. Never tried the food, but I've heard the burgers are good, just chatted with some Arkansans while enjoying a cold one.

Stopped in while waiting on my dinner party around the block. Sit at the bar and sampled some of the vast selection of craft beers they had on tap(they also have all the basic domestics). I had 3 different offerings that were all good . All three bartenders behind bar were very knowledgeable and each made a point of introducing themselves (Hillary, Richard, and Marissa). Place had a really good vibe in a nice small downtown setting. Only reason not 5 stars is that I didn't get to sample food menu which I will the next time I'm in Conway.

The chicken strips are very good. Fresh-cut fries are nicely seasoned. Burgers are nicely done. Sports on the TVs, waitresses and bartenders are awesome and easy on the eyes ;-).

This place has the tastiest burgers. They are enormous, juicy, and full of flavor. They also have a lot of beers on draft and bottles. I am a big fan particularly when they offer live music.

Burgers are good. Beer is plentiful. The place is loud as heck, that's the only downside.

Nice sportsbar atmoshere. Waitresses in short skirts and cowboy boots? I mean who can argue with that? The burger pretty much was shoe leather but I don't go to Hooters for the wings, and I wouldn't go to JJ's for the burgers. Just sayin'. Although, the chips and queso weren't bad. I went there for lunch and I got the feeling that this might be a UCA college bar by night judging by the 50 or so kegs of beer that were carted in as we dined.

Best local joint in Central Arkansas. The fried pickles are excellent, but the banana peppers are a very nice twist. The Man on the Wall has definitely become a new favorite. Great staff.

Great customer service, right off the bat. It's funny but the worse the economy gets the better places with great customer service will do. Back to JJ's - k, the skirts are small, but this isn't Hooters so it's not a distraction. I had a Chicken Club, excellent, huge portion for a sandwich, almost to much, chicken was cooked properly - the cook knows how to handle themselves. They do have beer even though I didn't partake it looked like a great selection. I am prediciting that this will be UCA fav and reduce some of the volume from Old C's if it hasn't already. Glad to have heard about this place, will be a favorite lunch spot going forward
