Honestly shocked at how GREAT this place is! The food is excellent! Great flavor hamburgers with fresh ingredients. The fries are freshly made from in site potatoes. The buns are soft, buttery and fresh as well! The food served fast, flavorful, and hot! The most recognizable characteristic of the restaurant though is the impeccable Customer service. I was asked multiple times if everything was good with my meal, did I need a refill, or would I like more fries? (Yes all you can eat fries)!!!! I'm blown away by the earnest southern hospitality of the employees (most looked High School aged) how do you create such a wonderful culture with this age group? Kudos to you David....... Well Done This is a FANTASTIC restaurant, which will earn every dime you give them, in great food and customer satisfaction!!!

This is the second location of David's I have eaten at and they are awesome! The burgers are top quality. The meat is premium, flavorful, juicy, and delish. The veg is fresh and delish. The endless fries are OH SO Good, keep them coming! The staff is extremely helpful, nice and attentive. Everyone is well taken care of when you walk into David's. We will stop by for some David's every time we travel through!

David's is a fairly regular stop for us. It's usually pretty busy for its small size, but we've never had to wait for a table. The burgers are large and come with endless homemade fries that are great! Drinks are self-serve, which I prefer, and the building has a nice 50's-60's atmosphere which is great for families or couples. They have really quick service and do a great job of keeping the place clean. The only negative I would have would be that the burgers are slightly greasy. But other than that, a perfect lunch spot! Highly recommend it.

Great burger joint! Excellent service and fantastic food, all ingredients are prePared fresh and food is made to order. I had the hamburger steak with onions and mushrooms and had it cooked in bbq, amazing! Husband had the classic double which he said was great as well. Husband was stopped when getting up to refill his drink by employee who filled it for him. Unlimited fries are a hit. A little pricey , husbands combo was almost $10 but with paying $7+ at any fast food restaurant these days I'd happily she'll out the extra couple dollars for this delight! Must visit , we will definitely be back by on our next trip through.

Stopping on the way back from OKC to Memphis, I was starving by the time we hit Conway, AR. I am glad we stopped at David's Burgers. It's precisely the type of restaurant I would like to see opened in Memphis. David's focuses on burgers. And fries. And shakes. And that's it. The menu is five lines long: "Single, double, kid burger, grilled cheese, shakes." Talk about knowing what you're good at and sticking with that. To be fair, there are three extras for a burger (cheese, grilled onions and bacon). I should have gotten a double with all three extras, but figured I would pass out on the way home. So I got a cheeseburger and fries. Really delicious burger. Excellent flavor. Bottomless fries. Smiling faces. They do not take AMEX. A jukebox plays hits, and the staff went overboard to serve you from moment one to moment end. Memphis has much to praise when it comes to food. A good burger spot is not one. David's should be a tour stop for a future chef deciding what to open in the Bluff City. Four stars.

David's was my main surprise here in Conway. I decided to stop in and the smell, feel and ambiance reminds you of an older America. A time when things were simpler and a coke light, a burger and some fries brought you to a time before the WTC bombings and ebola. The fries are made of Real potatos. I can see slivers of real skin on some of the fries and they're well salted. The burger was on a great soft bun and the patties must have been slathered in butter. You get carmelized bits, unctuous meat and that cheap cheese that melts perfectly. I got mine without tomato and all in all I was very happy with me meal. I think it was the best of the low end places I tried in AR on my visit. I'd recommend you try them out.

Let me start with the bad, the French Fries. They where limp and didn't taste all great, I realize they are fresh cut but they need some work. Now for the good, that burger! Well seasoned, great flavor, good size. This is as good as a burger you could hope for. I travel by a here a couple of times a year and will make sure to stop by again.

Great burgers! The people who work here are extremely friendly, which creates a fantastic atmosphere.

Simple menu, great food... If I lived here I would eat here at least once a week... The wait for or food was about average from any other burger joint of the non chain variety (McDonald's)... that extra time is well worth it... it's when they put the delicious in the burger... Fresh well seasoned burger with fresh well seasoned fries; it's hard to go wrong with that combo...

The restaurant is very clean and the service is very good, however the burger was just too salty and a bit greasy for my taste. An hour after I ate I had to consume a great deal of liquid to compensate for all the salt. A double loaded was sufficient to feed two people and they even offered to cut and place on separate plates. We were constantly offered fries and drink refills. I'm disappointed the food wasn't more to my liking but I just don't care for that much salt.

Delicious! In Conway for business and decided to try it out after reading such positive reviews. Burgers were juicy, and very filling!

We stopped in here a few days ago for lunch. Should have followed my nose's warnings. Smelled like food was being burnt. They present the hamburger in a cooler when walking in, hamburger in round balls similar to how Steak & Shake does. Plus it's like the original hamburger joint call CJ's burgers. Asked to what degree hamburgers are cooked to and wait person said" they are cooked well-done by instruction of the USDA". 1st USDA doesn't generally make visits to restaurants, it's the health department, 2nd, they are probably recommending the well done because the low grade of meat being used. Price is high for the quality of meat, then they nickle and dime you for add on's, by the time your done the $7.69 burger is almost $10.00 before tax. All the employee's are very nice and welcoming. When we received our order, had to try the french fries, fries are FANTASTIC being double fried. The hamburger looked good, but it was very dried out, highly over seasoned with seasoning salt plus their secret mixture, and it just tasted burnt. Had the taste with me all afternoon. I'm used to quality like 5 Guys or In & Out. Don't mind paying for good QUALITY food. My negative comments won't affect them, they seem to have a large following of people whom think the food is great, I'm just not going to be one of them.

After reading all the great reviews for this place, I was pretty excited about trying it out. Sadly, it didn't live up to the hype. The menu was shockingly limited, but I figured maybe they just put all their effort into doing one thing extremely well. Everything that you could do to a burger is nickle-and-dimed there, from lettuce to cheese, and the "unlimited fries" were only offered to us once, when we first sat down. Even then, it was a VERY SMALL amount of fries. Those "unlimited fries", by the way? They come out in a big metal bowl, obviously the left-overs before they start a new batch, and are pretty cold, limp, and salty. They gave us a small amount, and then that was it. We never saw any more fries after that. When we got our burgers, mine was pretty dry due to overcooking. The grilled mushrooms I'd ordered were also almost completely black, so the only flavor they added to an already dry burger was that of charcoal. The only staff member that came back around to our side of the restaurant was a girl who spent all her time cooing over a middle-aged couple behind us, offering to refill their drinks and bring them extras to sample. She never glanced our way once, and walked past our empty drinks several times. It's true that there was a drink fountain out for customers to use, but it seemed oddly inconsistent that another group would get offers of personal service and refills while we were ignored. The look of the restaurant was very nice, like a 50's diner, and they did get our food out to us quickly. I just wish that, for what we paid for some rather average hamburgers, we would have had a better experience.

What a great place to eat. A little bit five guys, a little bit In-n-Out, but 100% personal. Who else has employees topping off your fries at your table. Wednesday night, and the place is hopping. I will definitely be back.

I stayed in a motel in Conway. Across the parking lot was a gleaming red and white building serving burgers. When I entered the building I discovered what I believe might be the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in. I was impressed. My plan was to buy burgers. Then I noticed on the menu the hamburger steak. I decided hamburger steak with mushrooms and onions sounded good. I ordered a single for my wife and a double for me and added a French fry for a total of just over $16.00. As I walked back to the motel I noticed the bag seemed very light. I opened the large containers and discovered I had 3 hamburger patties. Probably 3 or 4 ounces each. No onions. No mushrooms. Just 3 meat patties. Every hamburger steak I have ever had is 6 or sometimes even 8 ounces. Calling a pattie a steak is a stretch of the imagination. I was amazed and annoyed that anyone would charge extra to NOT give you a bun. You could actually order a burger without the bun and save money while getting the same thing. I returned to the restaurant and asked for a refund. The manager said he would remake them and add the missing mushrooms and onions. I tried to explain a pattie is not a hamburger steak. He tried to explain a hamburger steak is not a real steak. I know I look stupid but I didn't just fall off a turnip truck. I am fully aware a hamburger steak is made from ground meat. I just expect more meat when I pay more money. He gave me a refund and I went elsewhere. Maybe I should have tried a burger because people say they are very good but I didn't. Just stay away from the hamburger steak because it is not a hamburger steak anywhere I have ever been.

Fresh and delicious burgers, fries and shakes. If you eat in, one of the employees walks around giving out free fresh fries. Friendly employees.

The food here is good. Unfortunately at this location something has happened in the last few months that has completely changed this from a place I used to like to go to a place I will never go again. Ask me about sitting in the drive through for THIRTY FIVE MINUTES. And No, you can't just drive off because of the way the drive through is built. Couple that with a VERY RUDE shift manager, a receipt that was NOT itemized so I got charged for no telling what and declining food quality. I have gone to this location probably 4 times in the last couple of months hoping my experience would change but unfortunately every single time I've gone I've either come away missing food from my bag or with an incorrect order or with just a terrible overcooked or undercooked burger. When this place first opened, it was amazing. It still is pretty clean compared to other restaurants. I don't know if they got a new manager or hired new staff or what but I've just flat out given up on this place. (and I hate that because I used to eat there about twice a week but it's like "why go here when I can get a crappy burger and crappy service for like 1/3 of what this place charges".

Tonight's burger was cooked well done, but a little salty. It was flavorful and enjoyable to eat. Fries were hot, but nothing exceptional. To take their food to the next level, it would be great to see them add a little extra to their fries-perhaps different flavors (Cajun, sweet or cinnamon)? It is pricy-$11 for a double burger combo with all the trimming minus pickles. The price dropped my rating by 1 star. The service was fast and friendly but inaccurate. If I pay $11 for a burger combo with the extras-I expect extras. I had to go back to the counter to ask them to add the the grilled onions. They also skimped on the mushrooms-but I didn't ask for more. Final verdict: Great tasting food for a high price-but only if one has patience. 3/5 stars

Best burgers around central Arkansas! 50s style diner atmosphere. Very friendly staff. They come around to each table and bring all the fries you care to eat.

  • Morgan S.

David's Burgers has some of the best burgers I've ever tasted. The restaurant is done in a 50's style diner design and plays classic music. The staff is very friendly. The only downside to this place is its popularity. It's practically impossible to find a seat on Saturday afternoons and it takes forever to get your food once you've actually found a seat. Otherwise I have no complaints.

My whole family loves this place! It's one the only places that we don't have to tell our five year old to sit up and eat. FANTASTIC burgers! Super fast, friendly service!! Bottomless fries!!! Discounts on weeknights if you show a UCA student ID. The best burgers in town!

I have probably eaten here over a dozen times in the last 2 months. The burgers are fantastic and the service is awesome! I will surely miss this place once my contract comes to an end.

Fresh food with a simple menu. Fast and friendly service. They get extremely busy at times, but that's what happens at popular restaurants. Burgers are tasty and the fries keep on coming. Look, nothing is as good as what I can do on a charcoal grill at home, but this place is burgers done right!

LOOK, people throw the word perfection around lightly, we however do not. I get that there are only a few of these family owned places around but, EVERYONE should have heard! We had bacon cheese burgers that were perfectly Cooked and put together from bun to pickle. The aroma waiting made me want to chew on a napkin while waiting. You can view the steaks as well as grinds. Fries where handcut, awesome. And plentiful. We could not eat in due to crazy dog Intended to choke it down on the go. We sat in parking lot like fools and devoured this gift the gods sent and didn't drive away until it was allll gone. We figured we needed to give it the respect it deserved. People seemed real friendly, like chick fil a but genuine. I could go on but really you just have to see and taste it yourself. I got shakes for all in car and felt a bit sad for the ever ignorant choices of my kids who INSISTED on McDonalds a few miles before... Suckers lol ... I offered fries but my husband growled when anyone glanced his way.

We were on the road and stopped in Conway. We were looking for a great burger place and David's did not disappoint. They served delicious old-fashioned burgers with great fries and shakes. The staff is friendly and neat in appearance. They are very attentive to each table, asking if you need anything else after your order is delivered. We would highly recommend this place. It is one of the best burger places we've ever been to!

David's Burgers is AMAZING!! Food is Delicious, shakes are super yummy, but the Southern Hospitality is 2nd to None!! Non-stop smiles, friendly service & continual refills on French Fries & Drinks makes this THE Friendliest Staff I have EVER Met!! :) Thanks David's Burgers for a Great Meal!!

On my way home from Little Rock, I stopped at David's. It's like a 5 Brothers burger. Yum! Homemade and tasty. Fresh toppings and friendly staff. I left wishing I lived closer.

  • David G.

I've visited David's Burgers multiple times, and they have consistently delivered prompt, friendly service and excellent burgers. Their burgers are made of freshly ground beef and are the best beef burgers I've had. Their fries are a thick-cut style of greasy fried goodness that I enjoy. Their menu is very simple making the ordering process exceedingly streamlined. Some people may desire more options, but this is hands down the best place to eat a burger in my opinion. The kids menu includes a grilled cheese sandwich which is gooey with thick, quality cheese. I have finished off an embarrassing number of my kids' grilled cheeses.

Stopped in today at 2:30 for burgers and fries to go. You are probably safe to eat there now because the cook had to have used all the SALT on our burger and fries. Looked like a good place by what a disappointment!

Fresh, yummy burgers; excellent service; ENDLESS FRIES!!!!!

  • Marla S.

While it's a tad pricey, it evens out with the unlimited fries they bring to your table! The staff is friendly. We had some issues with our order not being right and taking a little long, but they apologized and brought extra fries. The burgers are tasty.

Had to give it a try after my buddy kept raving about it. Went for lunch today at about 12:15. The place was packed, no inside seating available even though it's a decent sized room. Got the order to go instead. Only 5 or 6 things on the menu, plus fries and shakes. I guess that's all you need to offer if you do them particularly well. The burger was great, very fresh, flavorful, juicy, and big! I usually love hand cut fries. These were OK, but a little limp. They could have been crisped a little more. The tab was about $9.50 for the double burger combo. Service was sluggish and seemed a little confused. You get a number after you order, then they bring the food to your table. Since my order was to go, I waited near the counter for my order. I could see several orders that had been made up and were sitting on the back counter waiting to be taken out. There was ample staff, but some appeared to be doing very little. Occasionally someone would decide to pick up some of the food and take out to the table. Other orders were left sitting for quite a long time before anybody decided to grab them, including my boxed-up order. Overall good meal and will certainly be back for more.

  • Caleb Y.

This place is like In N Out Burger... but better! The meat is freshly ground daily, the fries are freshly cut daily and the quality of each is great. The soda has a good mix of carbonation and syrup, which is sadly a lost art in many an establishment. The service is good, the food is great and very reasonably priced for what you get. $8 bucks gets you good sized burger ($ .90 more for cheese), unlimited fries and a refillable drink. David's burger is like an old diner just with better food. Check it out!

Excellent Burgers, Excellent Service, clean and well maintained. If you want a burger this is a great choice. Addition of good onion rings to the menu would make it perfect.

Great burger, great service. Love the fries while you are waiting for your delicious hamburger. We were traveling across country for 3 weeks and this is the best burger we had. We are from CA and thought the burger and fries were superior to in n out.

  • Jennifer H.

I've been trying to follow a mostly plant-based diet for the past few months, but when I fall off the wagon, this is where I go! Oh, man! Their burgers are seasoned perfectly and you can't beat those fries! You can taste how fresh they are! I love the David's sauce, too. It is mayonaise-y and a little bit sweet. And the buns are good, too. Slightly toasty on the top but soft on the inside. The service at David's is wonderful. In fact, it's MUCH better than what you get at MOST table service restaurants in Conway. It is always a great experience when I come here.

Finally! A burger joint in Conway. My husband and I were stoked when we realized the old Fazoli's location was turning into a burger place. I agree with the previous review in that it is similar to the Five Guys set up, only not exactly the same. The menu items are a selection of burger and fry combos, or a grilled cheese if you opt for the no-meat option. All of the meat is ground fresh daily on site, and the potatoes are also peeled, cut and fried there daily as well. They have almost every topping to choose from (minus the whacky ones), with bacon and grilled onions being a little extra. They also serve milkshakes, which sound delicious, but not for this lactose intolerant. Every time I have been, this place gets packed quickly! The parking lot is small, so plan to go not during peak hours, or call in your order to go through their to-go window. Very friendly people at this family owned business.

    (5)
  • Ted A.

This restaurant operates on a theme similar to Five Guys: burgers and fries and little more. The menu choices are few but the taste is great. Fries are made straight from potatoes in the store--nothing frozen about the meat either! The wait time was pretty good considering there were customers out the door when we got there for lunch. I went big on a double burger and didn't have room to try one of their shakes, but maybe next time. I drove about 45 minutes to try this place based on a friend's recommendation. I won't frequently drive that distance, but it's definitely good enough to go that far!

    (5)
  • Janson S.

Like 5 Guys... Except burgers are bigger, fresher & better. Fries are the same (fresh cut), malt vinegar out for those who like a little kick. No diet food, but I have to go a few times a month!

    (5)
  • Becca T.

David's has great burgers. And the unlimited fries are amazing. The ONLY thing is that I wish they had some sort of cheese dip or something. That would be great! But, hey, I'm still in love with this place.

    (4)
  • Tom M.

It's a good burger, but in my opinion if you're going to be in a niche like this and hock a quality burger you need to differentiate yourself from a typical fast food restaurant and at least come up with your own "secret sauce" that really sets you apart.

    (3)
  • Dr G Y.

The food is good. The service is very slow. While we were there we noticed several orders being returned for correction. This was our second trip and we were not impressed this time. Needs some management attention.

Wow! My son wanted to go to Sonic for lunch today, but when I searched Google Maps for burgers, David's Burgers popped up with really good reviews. And they were well justified reviews. The price is a bit steep ($10.50 for a double cheeseburger combo!), but oh, so good! Fresh ground beef, incredibly seasoned and grilled to the perfect mix of a crispy outside a and juicy inside. VERY messy to eat (I bet I used a dozen napkins). More attentive service than most sit-down restaurants. Employees were around numerous times offering to get refills, taking trash and plates, and even bringing ice cream samples around!

They have amazing burger and fries. Good service. I like this restaurant so much. You should to try it.

  • Steven C.

The burger was delicious. The hand-cut fries were just as tasty (and the fact they have malt vinegar as a side topping = extra bonus!). The bun was grilled (apparently on the same griddle that cooked the burger, which made it a bit greasy but extra flavorful). The fries weren't crisp, but they weren't limp either. I would say they had just the right firmness. Despite the fact the restaurant was packed and we barely got a table, the service was fast and the food came to our table quickly and hot. The staff were attentive, providing drink refills and checking on us frequently, but not so often as to be annoying. The only complaint is that the restaurant was too hot; even with the AC running full blast it couldn't keep up with the heat from the open kitchen, a packed restaurant and the 100-degree heat outside. And a fly kept bothering me. But I would return for the food.

I went today 11:30, it was very busy and I was worried about getting a table. When we went in, there was no line and several empty tables. They very quickly took my order and in 5 minutes brought out hamburgers and fries. Fresh, perfectly cooked burgers with fresh veggies. Delicious hot fries with one fry free refill. Burgers not as salty as the last time, but I am okay with salt! This was my husband's first visit here, he liked it as much as I did. :-!

  • Dezeree H.

We stopped here while passing through town. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. The staff were really great, fast, and pleasant. The food (burger and fries) was very good and I think it is a great alternative to the typical chain burger joints.

If you are ever in Conway this is a must visit type of place. The burgers are made fresh and are absolutely fabulous as are the milkshakes. This is 100 times better than five guys and I wish we had one back in our hometown!!

This is just a great place to grab a quick bite for all carb loaders!!! Bottomless fries that come out piping hot every time. The staff is super friendly and make frequent rounds to take care of all patrons!! The burger was good, a little too much seasoning.... But really that really the only negative!!!

  • Stephen C.

David's is my favorite burger place in Conway. You are greeted by friendly staff as soon as you walk in and the line always seems to move quickly. The burgers are great, you get free refills on fries when servers walk around, and the shakes are a great way to end the meal!

    (5)
  • Colin B.

The burgers are a great home-style cooked burger with fresh toppings, but their fries are very inconsistent. I would have given this review 4 stars, but the service is outstanding. My colleagues and I had placed a to-go order and upon pickup, it was discovered that someone had accidentally given our order away to another group. They seemed genuinely apologetic and I wasn't in a hurry so it was not really that big of deal. While I waited for the new order to be made though, the manager came and sat with me offering an apologetic full refund for the meal plus a $20 gift card on top of it. Quality service. Quality food. I recommend it!

WARNING: DO NOT EAT WHILE ON ROAD TRIP. I often drive through Conway on my semi-regular trip to Memphis from Eureka Springs. That being said, I've seen the sign and long line of cars at David's and figured it would be a good spot to check out for a half-time pit stop. I was wrong. After waiting in the drive-thru for about 20 minutes, I received my great smelling burger. Cheese, mustard, lettuce, onions, and a chocolate milkshake, just like my papa daddy made. First of all, for taste of the burger was a bit salty. Being addicted to salt, I would rate this burger a 5. It was a decent steak burger, crispy, well-done, and flavorful. About 30 minutes into the I-40 homestretch all hell broke loose. I had a gastrointestinal existential crisis like nothing I've never fathomed. Hallucinations, cramps, sweating, bloating beyond my worst nightmare. I had to stop, yet I was stuck in that terrible I-40 traffic. Luckily I was able to find a shell station outside Forrest City. I feel sorry for the young kid at urinal next to the handicap stall, as his life was forever changed by the monstrosities that occurred on that fall day. I should have listened to my older sister, a new resident of Conway. Stay away from David's unless you've been experiencing constipation.

Had a burger for National Hamburger Day and really enjoyed it. Meat was very flavorful and perfectly cooked. Fries were excellent also, plus endless. Awesome.

  • Drew A.

Excellent food. At first I was turned off by the price being in the 10$ range for a burger joint. But it was worth it. Service was outstanding, from the guy greeting me from the counter all the way across the to the door, to the server learning my name and introducing themselves, to the servers cleaning the booths like I would only dream. Will return. Atmosphere has a diner feel. Had the steak which was great and had plenty of onions and mushrooms. Fries were not my type and a little burnt but they likely cut them fresh there so that's also a plus.

Definitely worth repeated visits for great burgers and fries. Driving through Conway, my wife and I wanted a good burger, better than the typical fast food burger, and looked up David's Burgers. We weren't disappointed. Not only were the burgers and fries great tasting but it was the employees that made our experience memorable. Everyone we spoke with was very courteous and appeared to be having a good time. Nice to see great service in a burger restaurant. Plus the Christmas music was an added bonus!

Great burgers and bottomless fries. I had a double burger (low carb) steak. Had a nice classic fifties vibe with a jukebox.

Best fast-food burger in Conway, hands-down. The burgers are large, fresh, and covered with a fantastic seasoning. The fries are endless, crisp, and addictive. The service is friendly and fast. I'd even place them higher than my beloved In-n-out Burger.
