Tuscaloosa isn't the city of nice restaurants so when I'm in the mood for something casual. Moe's is my first choice and this location never disappoints with quality of food or cleanliness.

Service here is excellent. I have absolutely no complaints how courteous the staff was here up to the cashier. My taco salad had ground beef and tofu in it. Everything about my taco salad was tasteless but no lie, my salad was beautiful to look at. Even though a taco salad and a drink costed more than $10 (due to my outrageous requests obviously), the cost was worth it especially when I found their fun soda vending machine with a trillion flavors. I will never turn down Moe's if I had friends who wanted to go. It's just not the place I'd recommend for great tasting Tex-Mex. I enjoyed my experience here but it's not something I'll put down $10+ for all the time.

Wednesday, February 8th 2015. The greatest American tragedy of the decade. It started out as any other day. Innocent. Full of hope. Full of hope for Moes as a reward for diligent work on my English paper. For moes is the only shinning light of the day. My usual order. Chicken nachos with queso on the side. My order is placed, the delivery service en route and it appears all my hopes and dreams should be coming true. My phone rings. What seems to be the voice of god himself is on the other line. "Your delivery is here". Little do I know my entire night, nay, my entire life is about to be ruined. I flutter down the stairs of my living complex, drawn like a magnet to what I can only imagine by the feast of zues himself. I pick up my food and make hast to my room with a speed that Usain Bolt would find frightening. I sit down. Drool almost pours from my mouth with almost sexual anticipation. I open the frail delivery bag and retrieve my kill. A mountain of sensually delciious nacho smells fills my nostrils. I reach into the bag again for my side of queso to drizzle atop this master piece. My heart drops. "wheres the queso" I begin to sweat nervously as my hand explores the inside of the bag frantically. It's nowhere to be found. I start to sob uncontrollably as i search the floor and furniture of my room. The queso wasn't there. The queso wasn't anywhere. I have been forgotten. Dank nachos though. 8/10.

It was okay, nothing too special about it. Basically another Chipotle style Mexican fast food restaurant, only difference was the taste in meat. I did enjoy the larger serving sizes than Chipotle though, my tacos were not lacking as they usually do! Decent chicken and steak, great chips! But sadly, chips aren't enough to make the meal.

This location of Moe's is fairly new in town. They have a nice size dining area, and one of those multi-flavor soda fountains. The food at Moe's is always good, and pretty consistent. I know some people compare it to Chipotle and some prefer Chipotle. I'm not one of those... I really like Moe's. At first, I thought it was pretty obnoxious to hear 5 people yell "Welcome to Moe's" every single time someone walks in... but it's kind of grown on me. The only detraction is I wish they were open later at night.

    Go with the "Homewrecker" burrito!

Moe's is a good spot for some filling Tex-Mex fare. The standard burritos are chock full of goodies, and the chips and salsa are a nice addition to the meal. Try the "joey" size for something a little more manageable if you're not too hungry, or split a regular one with a friend. They have a small salsa bar for your dipping pleasure, with a range of heats to choose from. I am a fan of the food, but it's not particularly noteworthy, hence the three stars.

I ordered my food to go over the phone because I have a short lunch break. When I go in there, they tell me I have to wait in line (that is all the way to the door) to get my food. I leave and call them, and ask what's the point in ordering to go if I have to wait? They say they'll give me my food for free, that they misunderstood. I specifically looked at the girl at the register, told her I had ordered my food to go and that I needed it. And she told me I had to wait. But I let that go because they treated me with my meal for free. I get back to work to eat it (with 5 minutes of my break to spare because of their mishap) and find that my taco is missing half of the ingredients I ordered. I was a frequent customer, but have noticed how much the employees goof off when I come in. And now this. I don't think they'll have my business anymore.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
