Pizza was horrible tasted like a cheap freezer to oven pizza for a Italian restaurant plus they r real cheap on the pizza topping. I will never I mean never will go back plus they got alittle pissed when I paid with a 100 dollar bill which it was 4:30pm so it wasn't like they didn't have enough to break it.

When dining out in Sylacauga you can not go wrong here! The restaurant is always packed, but they get you right in. The servers are friendly. The owners are there when I go and they make sure nothing leaves the kitchen without their approval, something I enjoy. The pizza is amazing! Can not wait to go back!

An average Italian restaurant. Ordered the piazza and it was good, but extremely greasy. The pasta and salads are good, but I'm still not convinced they're worth what they're priced. Otherwise, very clean and great service.

Giovanni's has now moved to a location on US 280, next to the Pickle Patch Market. Check out my food shots from our recent Sunday brunch.... Still my top pick for Italian food!!!

Driving through on the way to Florida, and husband had a craving for Italian. We stopped here on a whim, and we're very glad! Food was great with only small downfalls (lettuce not fresh & onions in scampi that weren't in the description.) Otherwise, great service and very tasty food!

Cheesesteak pizza with a pasta salad to go. Only pizza where I eat all the crust thanks to the garlic butter on it. Not a fan of pizza sauces so this one without it is perfect. And even a bowl of the pasta salad leaves me craving more. Just wish I lived closer or had more of a reason to visit Sylacauga more.

I was up from Montgomery meeting some family for lunch. This is a really good restaurant; I wish I lived a bit closer. I got the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. The pizza looked really good as the owner was walking around serving everyone.

Five of us ate there. Spaghetti and meatballs, calzone, chicken parmesan, an pizza was all enjoyed. The bruschetta was not good at all seemed to have just olives and mozzarella cheese. All you could taste was the olives. I ordered shrimp scampi and got more like a shrimp Alfredo. The service was friendly and professional. May go back and give it another try but would not order the scampi.

Love everything about Giovanni's except their pizza always upset my stomach but I don't mind because I only ever order Chicken Parmesan. I think I've tried everything on the menu and its to DIE for. It's warm, moist and gooey and feels like comfort food. Also everything on the menu is reasonably priced for the quality of food. I hope they never leave!

I ordered the Tour of Italy- it was delicious. Good spaghetti, fantastic meatball. Yummy fettuccini. And the baked ziti was good. I was pleased with the price. The staff was okay, but our waitress was too fast paced, she took our plates without asking if we were done with them, etc. The salad that came with my entree was a generous size and was very fresh. The bread came out to snack on right after we ordered our food, which was nice as I was very hungry, and it was spectacular. But the restaurant was too chilly. Kind of odd that it's in an old car dealership building though. And they played pretty annoying music.

We happened to catch the Sunday buffet (11-2 on Sunday). Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff from the hostess to the owners. The food choices were wide - from chicken wings and salad to pasta, lasagna, pizza, beef tenderloin, and pork roast. Desserts, too. The S'mores pizza was especially interesting. This was my first time to eat here, but I'll be sure to go back

Having eaten here twice before, we expected a delightful dinner in a casual setting. Unfortunstely, dinner was drastically different. The lasagna was so disgusting, it appeared to have been reheated on several previous occasions. It was inedible. The salad was wilted and unappetizing. Overall, a pitiful exude for a restaurant. I'm all honesty, the first two visits over the last 12 months were good, tonight has assured that we will not be visiting again

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
