We went here on our way out from a fabulous weekend at the hangout in Gulf Shores, Alabama. At the festival I had the most amazing jumbo shrimp and I just needed some more before I completely left the area. I yelped this place and based on the reviews I expected the seafood to be as amazing as everything I had had all weekend. Well I ordered the seafood basket which was fried shrimp, fried fish, and fried oysters. They were good just not as good as what I had at other places all weekend. It was great service though and I appreciate that.

This place is delicious. The fish tacos are very fresh. Everything is made to order. The coleslaw had me coming back for another meal before my vacation was over.

Really solid food.... Place is packed daily and this place is not for the healthy conscious diet. However, if you are looking for excellent hamburgers, fried chicken sandwich ( which I recommend / bacon and BARBQ sauce), fried cheese sticks, Po Boys, and even good salads.... This is a perfect economical lunch on the way to the beach.... Even Robertsdale cops frequent this location.... It has to be good. Oh, the waitresses are full of Southern charm and flirt with the best of them.... Love it.

Down in LA (lower Alabama) this restaurants menu is as common as white sand and sunny skies. All the staff is friendly, you get a decent meal for what you pay and it is independent. Unfortunately they have not found their own voice. They serve what everyone else serves so the only determining factor is convenience of location or lines to differentiate. If this little place found their own voice (blackened as a style of cooking and not a salt based seasoning) and created a couple of signature sides and entrees and they would hit it out of the park. The chili is home made and just perfectly chili, nothing weird. Hit the spot. The fish and shrimp, grilled were not over cooked as can and does often happen with seafood. The carry out order was correct and complete. My husband had the burger one night and it was mighty fine (per B) and held together unlike some of the other local "gourmet" options.

Early dinner last night meant no crowd. Our server, Kathy very friendly. Good food and good prices. Liked the light batter on my fried shrimp & love the baked potato salad. Look forward to returning soon.

We went to the gulf shores location. The staff was beyond welcoming. Kathy was our waitress and was amazing. On top of that the cook was extremely nice and you could tell he loved his job. The food was AMAZING! Of course we had to go back once more before heading back to Georgia where we once again had great good and great service. We will be back again next year too!

Robertsdale location is great. Can get very busy during lunch hours. Fish tacos are awesome. Also the grilled veggies are great. Happy to have this little gem in town.

We would definitely come back! Everything was good!!! The hush puppies and key lime pie especially!!! Kids meals were about $5-7, no drink included and fairly small. Our 8 and 10 year old boys needed adult meals.

Absolutely wonderful food in a casual setting. I went for the shrimp and oyster basket. You can choose between fried, grilled and blackened. I got my oysters fried and shrimp blackened with a side of onion rings and potato salad. The seafood was perfectly cooked and the oysters were perhaps the best I've ever had. The potato salad was like a twice baked potato salad - unique and wonderful. Great service. Highly recommended.

We are vacationing and decided to try GooRoos based on a recommendation from someone we ran into. It is very good! Staff is nice, place is very clean. My kids had burgers, husband a chicken club and I had the grilled shrimp. We also had onion rings, mozzarella sticks and hush puppies. The batter they use for the onion rings and mozzarella is amazing not at all greasy. Honestly everything was very good and we plan to be back at least one more time before we leave.

These people make AMAZING food for a little take-out place!!! The GOOROO Burger is a cheeseburger that fell from heaven, I'm telling you!!! I've also had their gumbo (BEST I've ever had!) and their Philly Cheese-steak (so tasty!) To be honest, I'm going to have to try everything on their menu. They are going to think I'm a totally crazy person but I don't care. They are around the corner from my house and they provide delicious take-out food made with FRESH ingredients so I'm never tempted to buy fast food crap. Currently, they are operating out of a catering truck on 104 just west of 59 in Robertsdale. But they are moving into the building that Quizno's (Robertsdale) just vacated. It's sort of near Arby's. It's going to be so exciting to visit them with air-conditioning!!! (I'm writing this during the blazing summer heat) Instead of settling for fast food, swing by GooRoo's for a cheeseburger, philly, po-boy, or other meal of awesomeness.

Went to the Gulf Shores location, lemme tell you, I will not be back. The food wasn't bad, but the server was atrocious. I would expect better service if a monkey served me at the zoo. That's all.

Was starving and just passing through to Gulf Shores so we yelped Robertsdale. This place ended up being such a gem. We found out it was locally owned and operated by the owners. They went out of their way and were very interested in making our meal & experience the best they could. The prices are very reasonable. Not like the overpriced places the nearer you get to the beach. I get the impression this is a local hang-out that welcomes us beach seekers. Eating local is better than settling on some chain or tourist trap restaurant. They had a attentive (and ATTRACTIVE) staff serving a good variety of great food. The sea food basket my wife got was budget priced and really good. I did the GooRoo burger,. In a word 'excellent'. (Why did GooRoo's get 5 stars when I gave 5 Guys only 4 stars? GooRoo's serves beer!) I recommend eating at GooRoo's and feeling happily satisfied before getting ripped off by the tourist beach joints.

We were headed for Alligator Alley but took a side trip to Goo Roos I had the Gumbo which was thick and tasty with lots of shrimp. My wife loved her cheeseburger.We will definitely go back.

For my friends that come to the gulf coast: went up to Robertsdale for dinner to get away from the fried tourist dinner traps (ouch) to GooRoos Grill. Wanted to be good on the diet: side salad, grilled shrimp and fish, mixed grilled veggies. I'll go back just for the veggies; less expensive and great service and quality. Worth the drive "up" from the beach.
