Ever since Slick Lizard closed, Joe Mo's has been where I get my BBQ fix when I come in to Jasper. I don't dig the Carolina style sauce they have in lower Alabama / lower Georgia. I like getting 2 large sandwiches. If I am picking up more than for just myself, I will get the potato salad and/or beans. I haven't tried it yet, but I have heard the Slaw-B-Que is pretty good too.

Joe Mo's BBQ (formerly the Rib Cage from Downtown) has moved to HWY 195. We ordered Joe Mo's for a 20+ person family gathering: pounds of chicken, pork and pork ribs, cole slaw and baked beans. Overall, the family was generally impressed. The chicken and pork have a great smokey flavor and the ribs were cooked to perfection earlier today. Don't look for fancy, this location is built to "take out" bar-b-que and nothing else. There are no tables. As of this post, they do not accept credit cards. Only Cash! Their Health Inspection Certificate rates 93. The menu includes pork, ribs, and chicken, They do not serve sausage or beef brisket. The staff is friendly and welcoming, but they are only open Thursday & Friday from 11-7PM and Saturday from 10-7PM.

It's a small family owned takeaway restaurant. Super friendly service. The smoked chicken ad ribs are delicious beyond words. They however, do not accept cards currently. Cash or check only. If you like bbq this is place is one of the best..

Good BBQ, small place. Call in an order and go pick it up or go order and wait. There's a couple chairs but nothing fancy. The people are nice and they enjoy cooking good home-style food. Everything they make is home-made. They DO accept Credit Cards as of this post. :)

The way BBQ should be - tender, slow smoked, juicy and absolutely delicious. Will, the Pit Boss/owner, is knowledgable and passionate about everything he prepares. A rating of 5 stars is definitely deserved! Keep in mind that it is all cash, all take out, and only open a few days per week. The price/value is very good - equal or lower than other BBQ places in the area. I have added several pictures from my visit today - a little motivation to encourage others to seek out Joe Mo's.
