First time at this establishment, it has a Buffalo Wild Wings feel to it.... Well that is where the similarities end. Burgers are outstanding!!!! And the buns they use are really good. Not your typical burger buns as they use Hawaiian buns!!! I ordered the 3 cheese burger.... I took half home... It was that big!!! The reason this place got 4 instead of 5 stars, price was a bit more than anticipated and they only had angry orchard in bottles not in tap :( Atmosphere is very friendly, a bit on the loud side but tolerable. App we ordered was the gooey fries, rather tasty but not seasoned. Add you right amount of salt and you are good to go. I will have to admit, this place will be seeing more of my family, great food!!! Next time i will have to try the fried banana pudding..... A delicacy that i thoroughly enjoy!!!!

Will definitely be back here. The food was great. I liked the atmosphere a lot but it could be a little brighter. Had a tough time seeing the menu. We started with the ooey gooey fries. My son and I loved them. Daughter and husband said they were OK but still ate a lot anyway. Hmmm. I think they were just trying to get us to stop eating them so they could eat more. I had the Philly chicken cheese steak. Being from Philly, this is not a real cheese steak but I didn't expect it to be. I just wish people would just give up on calling it a Philly cheese steak. If it ain't from Philly it ain't Philly. However, it was grilled chicken with just the right amount of onions and peppers and cheese. The roll was good too. Everyone else liked their meals too. Daughter had the chicken tenders which she loved and she's pretty picky. Husband had a burger which was huge. He wound up taking half home. Son had a bacon chicken sandwich which he said was great. We all agreed that this is our new favorite place to eat. However, for a family of four the prices are a little high so, sadly, we can't come back too often.

After a short wait we were in. These 5 stars are Strictly for those banging wings. It's a wing place and that's all that counts. We got the sampler so we could mix up the sauces. Our sauce choices were *Honey Barbque a bit too sweet for the fam. *Eli Gold was golden and a better barbque mixture for us. But that Mild Hot Sauce was the best. I'm taking a bottle home to Chicago if it's on the shelf. Our server was great, as well as the hostess. I would definitely come back.

I so wanna like this place... I really do, but my wings experience always struggle at this place. I ordered the small 1lbs mild buffalo flavored. Soooo, they were just okay and seemed very crunchy from being over fried. The blue cheese dressing is pretty good, but the actually wings fell flat ...

When I checked in and then Yelp asked me to review I was like "whhaaa I'm sure I've already reviewed my favorite place. Turns out the other one was under Wings Sports Grill. So I'll move my review over to this business since it's the one that shows up when you want to check in. PROS: The menu has super variety. Fast, friendly service. The food has always been good. They have "man-food", ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH! They support local Alabama companies, i.e. they use Bad Byron's Butt Rub in several of their dishes. That stuff is good anyway. THEY HAVE BEIGNETS!! Do you know how hard those are to find in Bama??? Their fries are da bomb, and I can usually do without fries except here fo sho! The Hot Bama Brown is one of Alabama's Top 100 Dishes to Try Before you Die-it's a delicious open faced sandwich smothered in flavorful gravy Gumbo is made with a dark roux, tender chicken, and Conecuh sausage. It is so flavorful. CONS: At this location the parking lot is small and fills up quickly. Their fried pickles are not the chips. If you ever have to get up to go to the restroom, you better drop crumbs on the floor to find your way back through the maze of tables. Favorite Meal: gumbo Boneless wings, medium heat Curly Fries Beignets Hubby's Favorite Meal: Boneless wings, HOT Curly Fries with Blanco cheese The reason it's on my Top 100 Dishes to Try list: my favorite meal listed above List: The BEST non-seafood gumbo, curly fries, and boneless wings I've ever had.

In a busy Saturday night, I was able to squeeze in at the bar, watch the Belmont, grab a 25oz Fat Tire (ice cold draft) and some awesome wings... All in less than an hour, so I could catch a movie next door. This location is almost always busy, but the wait staff and extensive menu make it well worth any wait. There are plenty of TVs (tonight was motocross, horse racing, college baseball, soccer and 2 different trivia games.

Food is good but kind of expensive. Kind of, especially comparing to buffalo wings. It is still a good place to dine in.

Husband and I stopped in for a late lunch over the holiday weekend... grabbed two seats at the bar and were promptly greeted by the bartender. The atmosphere of this place is your basic pub/sports bar feel - loads with sports memorabilia all over the walls and TV's on every corner. It's a bit dark, but maybe that's because it was rainy that day, I don't know. The restaurant is a decent size with plenty of tables both in a dining room and in the bar area. They are offering a full bar, plus a handful of beers on draft. The menu is huge, offering something for everyone (apps, sandwiches, burgers, salads, wings, entrees, etc...). They also sell Baumhower T-shirts, sauces, etc... at the entrance of the restaurant. They seem to be known for their wings so I opted for the sampler (trying 3 sauces) as my entree and husband chose the buff chicken sandwich. It appears that all the sandwiches are on Hawaiian rolls, so my hubby was pretty excited about this sandwich. It was quite large, but he did everything he could to eat it all. I would suggest asking for a side of buff sauce or extra on the sandwich as it was lacking a bit in the sauce department. The wings were crispy, and a good sized. I tried the Extra Hot Buffalo (really not too spicy), Honey BBQ and the Eli Gold (a cross between BBQ and Honey Mustard). The sampler includes 15 wings so it was a perfect amount for sharing... and a mix of both flats and drums. They do not accommodate requests for all flats so that was a bummer for the Mr. All the sauces were really good - I liked them all about the same, so not sure I'd pick a favorite. Some other reviewers noted the price point was a bit high, but I think it's right on to what they are offering. For example, $14.99 for the wing sampler (basically 15 wings) seems about right to me. They have some interesting items on the menu so we'll for sure be back to try out some more things and catch a game!

The waiter says customers "are required to request lemon due to rising produce prices". You're in the south, serve lemon with iced tea for goodness sake! I really like Baumhowers wings but they seem to get milder each trip back. If 911 gets any wimpier, I may have to start bringing my own hot sauce. PLEASE FOR ALL THAT IS RIGHT AND HOLY, TURN DOWN THE TV! There was some game on that a few people seemed into that was measured at 97dB. That's the the level of a jackhammer from about 40-50 feet away. OSHA rules state a workplace can't exceed 97dB for more than 3 hours per day. Am I a sound geek? Yes, yes I am. It was uncomfortably loud and made conversation very difficult. For their disregard to employee health and diner comfort, I give them 2 stars.

Was hoping that the second time would be as good as the first and I was definately pleased. I had a friend that ordered mild flavored wings. I am usually not find of mild but the flavor was so good that I would order them again even though I like mine spicy.... The sauce wasn't too greasy and i could taste the good flavor of the chicken rather than feeling like I was eating soup.

Service is very average. Always crowded and super loud. Howeverrrrr, the Gooey fries are absolutely amazing. Wings are great too. The food is great. But so many things to overcome for some pretty good food. You can get good food and a more relaxed environment at other places.

Now I know what it feels like to be invisible! My husband and I went there on a Wednesday evening. While the restaurant was not full, there was a line. I guess they did not have enough staff to run the whole restaurant. Gave our name to the hostess, then started to notice that people who arrived after us were being seated. We were standing right in front of the hostess stands the whole time and the hostess had to walk around us to get menus, but didn't seem to even notice how long we were there. Complained to the manager and saw our names on the wait list but we were apparently skipped over and 7 groups after us were seated! Just got a "sorry you will be next". Got seated. Waited 5 minutes. Waiter #1 comes to take our order. Give him drink order. Minor complaint that he asks for ID (I have 2 kids old enough to drink!). Ok. Then while we are talking to him, Waiter #2 comes over and interrupts. Waiters have a somewhat heated discussion, Waiter #1 leaves and Waiter #2 says he will be the waiter. Have to repeat our drink order (at least I don't have to get ID again). He also takes our food order. I have a question he has to go ask about, so another 5 minute wait. He comes back, no drinks, we finish food order. 10 more minutes, no drinks. Sit for 5 minutes looking for waiter, he finally zips by and says "I'll go get your drinks" We got up, husband wanted to leave, but I wanted to talk to the manager. We were hungry thirsty and cranky. Manger said he would find out what the problem was. Manger gets our drinks. Waiter apologizes says the bar was backed up. No excuse for not getting water and tea. Manger says our food order was in and would be up soon. Meanwhile table next to us, who ordered after us gets their food. Finally get most of our food. Fries and cole slaw were not there. I ask and they show up 5 minutes later. At least we could start eating. After we ate, waiter offers to comp desserts. We are not dessert people and we just ate a big dinner. Also, we enjoy watching sports. And it was a weeknight not much going on, but the biggest TV was showing reruns on SEC network of the GA-FLA football game. Who wants to see that in Alabama? Some of the smaller TVs were showing the live Braves game. And while the kids enjoy the clown making balloon animals, she should not have been making balloon swords, as some kids were running around waving them. Husband and son still like the place but I am not going back.

Used to be way better! The menu prices for lunch have gotten outrageous! The wings are now over $1.00 each.... The prices keep going up the quality keeps going down. The wings were extremely small and soggy. The sauces are inconsistent on flavor and temperature... I was very disapointed! This used to be one of my favorite places to get wings.

Four of us ate at this location last night. The food was tasty for three of us. Hubby had the fried shrimp basket and he was not excited about it. I had the Chargrilled Black & White chicken platter and was very pleased. We had an interesting waiter. He was over zealous and asked us at least 20 times if there was anything else he could get for us. Nice kid, but definitely new to restaurant serving! We asked for a booth and we were put at a small table and told that no booths were available. We could clearly see 5 empty ones in our vicinity. Strange. Would I go back to this location, no. Food was fine but the atmosphere was not. There are too many options in this area to fail on the service side of things.

First time eating here. Thought the food was very good. We liked the atmosphere. Not expensive at all. Would recommend and eat here again.

Extremely delicious. I've been visiting locations all over Alabama since I was a kid! I've rarely been disappointed! They have some great lemon pepper wings! We've also had there party trays which are always good. Fried pickles are the Baum! My favorite meal on the menu are the hot lips with grits which is extremely delicious! Try the honey mustard & spicy lips! A must try!

Wings are my weak link. It's next to impossible for me to turn one down. A few of us went to Baumhower's on a Sunday evening for dinner and to catch a sports match. There was a short wait, which was no big deal. We went to the bar to await our name being called. We apparently missed them say it and waited a little extra time. No biggie. They have fried Wickle's Pickles. If you've never had a Wickle, treat yourself. They are they best thing to happen to a cucumber since.. well, ever. My qualm comes with the wings. I ordered the "X Hot" large order. It was about twelve (medium to small) wings. I should have aimed higher, because these weren't very hot. In fact, they weren't remotely spicy. In the end, they were still chicken drenched in a sauce, so I loved them. The waitress was really fantastic and the food came out very quickly. For a guys night out... not too shabby.

THE best wings in the south period. Alex loved his chicken salad. Said it's the best he ever had.

Ooey Gooey fries (not sure I spelled that correctly) are the BEST! Many others have imitated but don't let them fool you, this place has the best ones around. Wings are great and offer many flavors. Great place for friends, family, or any other reason to get out and get some good food.

Excellent food. Great prices and the "Da Baum" is unreal good and huge! Great service and atmosphere. Large verity of food. Will not break the bank.

3 1/2 stars. When in Birmingham, I always go to Baumhowers for wings. Usually, I get the wings sampler so that I can pick three different sauces. My favorites are Butt Rub, Cajun, Sweet Fire, and Korean BBQ. The only disappointing thing about Baumhowers wings is that they are fairly skimpy (meat-wise). The sauces are awesome, but I sure wish they would move to jumbo wings and serve some meatier wings. But the sauces are great, and cold beer and sports on the TVs...it's a great casual night out.

It's a bar with food. Nice waitress, but she kinda ignored us once she realized we were only ordering appetizers. Pickles and Fries were good. Beers from across the country which was nice.

This place was pretty good. The fried pickles were actually great. The fish and grits was ok, fish was a little overcooked and the grits were kinda cold. I would stick with wings and burgers probably. Nice service, 99 cent happy hour beers, and a ton of tv's.
