Not good. Son and I came after church on Sunday. Food didn't look fresh and tasted as such. Spent $23 for dinner and didn't feel good about that. Won't be back.

LISAS KITCHEN Food Service Establishment 900 DECATUR HIGHWAY GARDENDALE AL 35071 Health Score: 68 7/23/2015 I stopped eating here when I noticed the quality was going down. I was a regular at one time, but they started treating me like crap. Now, apparently, they are serving it.

The hubby and I came here with his parents because he and his dad wanted crab legs and they were serving them on the buffet that night. Unless that is all you want I wouldn't recommend coming here. The only reason I gave this place two stars instead of one is because they enjoyed what they came for. They only put the crab legs out on the buffet a little at a time and apparently there are regulars that know the routine because they sat near the door to the kitchen so they could see the crab legs coming. They would then run over to the buffet and wait to grab them a pile, leaving others to wait for the next batch. It was a little ridiculous that you'd have to be aggressive to get some crab legs. The rest of the food was quite bland and unappetizing. Sure it was a buffet but it was hard to find something worth eating. I don't think it's worth the price of a buffet to go back.

I'm new to the area and thought I'd try Lisa's Kitchen for lunch.... Well, "disapointment" barely describes it. I'm all for mom & pop places.... I love em, but this place is not good. Not your ordinary Chinese Buffet w/ soggy Orange chicken, strange taisting Crab Rangoon, and poor over all temp quality for the rest. Most of the food was "dead," meaning it shouldn't have been served because it was probably several hours old or was made on the previous day! Trust me, I don't normally have very high expectations for a Chinese buffet and, by no means, do I ever expect everything to be great taisting.... This was a big fat zero. Seriously, egg rolls and fried stuff should be easy, right?!? The salad bar was by far the best thing Lisa's Kitchen had to offer.... It was ok. The deserts looked decent but, frankly, I was so disgusted by my meal that I was ready to run out of that place... Not very clean either. I would hate to see the kitchen because I'd probably barf.

Not terrible, but not great, and overpriced. I came on a Friday night, where apparently the "seafood" buffet is worth the extra. I didn't eat any seafood other than one mussel prepared with some bizarre sauce. The normal stuff was OK.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
