Ate lunch Sunday afternoon. Not the best visit. Service was very slow. Salad was small and the thousand island appeared to be watered down and soupy. My fish and chips was catfish instead of the flaky whitefish I had on previous visits. It was ok. Tasted more fishy than usual. May not have been that fresh. I did have caramel pie which was delicious. (Gave a star for the pie alone) They may have off thier game today. My prior visits were enjoyable. I'll come back but order something else.

Stopped here for dinner while traveling back to Texas from Virginia and were pleasantly surprised. I don't normal give chain restaurants 5 stars but they earned it. Placed an order to go. I had the french dip sandwich. It was loaded with meat and the bread was fresh. A very good sandwich. I also tried the catfish platter, it came with coleslaw, fries and hush puppies. The fish was fresh, hot and perfectly cooked. The coleslaw was very good as well, very crisp and not runny. It also came with fresh baked rolls, they gave me a bag of them, lol. Lots of tasty food at a great price. The staff was very pleasant. They smile and greet you when you walk in and say thank you when you leave. A+++++

Been here several time. This has to be the worst time ever. 15 minutes before anyone took DRINK order. It was the manager who finally came over to our table. When the waitress did make it by with rolls they were COLD. Don't do Thursday nights and DONT get a waitress named Tyke??? or something like that.

As we were on our driving trip and the weather was just awful we wanted to stop and grab a bite to eat somewhere. For about fifty miles we kept looking for a decent place to stop. Oh my I finally saw the sign for this place and jumped for joy in the car. I love this chain. The food is usually very consistent, average pricing with great service. When we arrived they were fairly crowded with many locals. The manager sat us and he was super pleasant. Server came over, took our drink order quickly and within a few minutes we had our cocktails. I had a special margarita that was fabulous. To bad I could not have more as I needed to drive in a few hours so chose to only have one drink. I ordered my usual loaded potato soup and a house salad with their awesome honey mustard dressing. Hubs ordered a burger and daughter ordered a steak. Our server brought over a basket filled with their amazing dinner rolls, oh gee this bread is by far the best ever. They are yeast rolls with honey drizzled over the top of them. I could have ate every last one. My salad was excellent with their homemade dressing in which I adore. The famous loaded potato soup did not have any scallions in which I missed but I could not find our disappearing server to ask about it so decided to just eat it as was. The soup was very good slightly cold which was a disappointment. I would have preferred a much hotter temperature. Hubs and daughter's food was good as well. We ate and had to hit the road and of course it took forever to get our bill to pay. Our server was very slow and just went through the motions. This restaurant was not the best location for me, hence I still enjoy their food though.

I LOVE O'Charley's and this one is the only one in a 1 hour radius of my home. I won't eat at this location. What does that tell you?

Credit where credit is due. Yes we ate at a chain. Service was good. Manager in the background beaming. Music level quite tolerable. Pasta with prime rib pieces and sun-dried tomato alfredo and horseradish was really delicious. Always get the sauces on the side for "Do it Yourself" and hey presto something can be made to taste. Husband's teriyaki tilapia was delicious and a very generous portion. Who knew? The Club Soda was first class. My God I'm going to have to go again!

At one time this location did well, now it seems to get by on a Kids Eat Free promotion. We had the rib combo plates, one with steak one with chicken tenders. The steak was cooked properly and the chicken fingers were good as well. However, the ribs tasted as if they had come straight from being boiled and a hint of BBQ sauce spread across them. This combined with the membrane being left on the ribs before cooking resulted in a very tough, tasteless piece of meat. The baked potato was not fully cooked as well.

Well what can I say. We went on a Sunday after church so i knew it was going to be a crowd. We got there and the hostess told us it would be 30-45min wait again I knew it was going to be a wait no matter where we went so ok. They had us seated in less then that yay but that is where it went down hill. Our waitress took our drinks asked if we wanted a starter. We got the nachos they were ok. I probably will not order them again. She came back with our drinks well not mine because they were all out of Pepsi. Somebody didnt order right cause how can you run out of a drink on a day you know your going to be busy. Hello! The rolls were great as always and our food arrived by other waitress i like to add. Now i have worked the floor many times in my past so I understand that no matter who's table it is you take the food so it doesn't sit there and get cold. Ok I was ok with that but the waitress should have came by and seen that everything. If she did i didn't see her. Oh did i mention that we was OUT of drinks for more then 15 minutes. The food was good buuuutttttt when i placed my order (i got the honey drizzle fried chicken) the waitress didnt ask what sides i wanted. I got broccoli and mashed potatoes with gravy. I'm good with the broccoli but I'm not one to ask for gravy cause they put to much on them. Now here is a kicker. When I did place my order i got a bowl of soup (you can add soup/salad for 2.99). When we finally got our ticket (which was 15 minutes after we was done with our food, still no waitress) she told my husband Jason that she couldn't take something off because it came with. I asked what she was talking bout and he said they couldn't take the desert off cause it came with the soup/salad deal. Oh yes I forgot to mention that it was MY BIRTHDAY :) He was going to get me a desert. I was full and could not eat another bite. Wellllll the waitress did not tell us that the desert came with so we had already paid for it. If i paid for it GIVE ME MY DESERT I will take it to-go thank you. I don't care for pecans, yes I'm southern and its crazy i know but i never have cared for them. I asked if i could have the apple crisp and was told NO but she could give me the caramel tart noooooo i don't care for that either. Was told sorry ok just give me the brownie and my kids will eat it later. Here is the run down of the time got there at 1215, was sitted by 1235, placed order by 1250, got food and ate, and we left at 2:17. In that time frame we saw the waitress 5 times. Again i knew it was busy and she had tables beside us but none of us saw her. I wouldn't get so upset if we had at least seen her on the floor nope. I don't know what she was doing but it wasnt taking care of her customers. I gave them 3 stars cause the hostess was nice and got us seated in a good time limit and the food was good but they need to step up their service department.

Usually I'm a sucker for O'Charley's too-soft-to-cut rolls, but they may be changing the recipe a little, because they weren't quite up to the normal O'Charley's par at this Fultondale location. Nevertheless, the food as a whole has been good; not sublime, not wretched, but decently good (even the rolls, despite taking mild issue with them). The overloaded potato soup and ooey gooey caramel pie are personal favorites (the latter is especially good for producing an instant sugar-coma). The service is friendly and the restaurant is clean. It's one of several sit-down chain establishments in the immediate area and holds its own in the crowded field. It's a good spot to meet a group and catch up over dinner, or to swing by later in the evening to enjoy a dessert in a casual but nice environment.
