This is another one of the hidden gems in Florence. The owners are very nice folks and have given a lot to the community over the years. The brisket is very good, as well as their Brunswick stew! I recommend this place to anyone who like old fashioned bbq joints!

The food was pretty good. Flavors were on point. Not too spicy and not too bland. The sweet tea was very sweet (that's good or bad depending on what you like.) Three different types of sauce on the table was a nice touch. A sweet-ish barbecue sauce, a vinegar based red barbecue sauce and a vinegar based white sauce. Nice touch. The service was so so. The server wasn't very social. It was strictly business. One thing that didn't sit well with us is we mentioned dessert in passing while ordering and were told explicitly that there wasn't any desserts. Fast forward and right when we were wrapping up our meal we see the same server walking with pecan pie to a room with a large group. When we questioned her she said we just made it. Odd. The prices are very reasonable as well as the menu selection. They have 2, 3 and 5 meat meals for those who can't decide. A large selection of sides. Another disappointment was my food came out cold. Nothing worse than cold French fries. Overall I would eat there again. Like I said good was good. Service could have been better.

Service was excellent. The waitress made us feel like one of her regulars even though we were first timers. Hubby got the Barnyard Sampler and I had the pulled pork. Mine was a tad cold and not as tender as I'd hoped. The sauce was good ( the vinegar BBQ sauce was too hit for me). I tried brisket for the first time: very tender. Hubby said the ribs and smoked sausage were so so but overall liked all the meats on his platter. The sides were not good. Baked beans tasted like pork and beans- potato salad was basic yellow stuff. Tea was good. Best part of the meal was the homemade pecan pie. It was definitely homemade and delicious. As an added note, a lot of old family restaurants aren't that clean, well this place was immaculate including the restroom. It was also roomy (the dining room not the restroom!)with plenty of seating.

I'm not sure why we waited so long to try this place. First off, I never order brisket, never been a fan. Until now, my husband got the brisket and I kept stealing off his plate. The pulled pork was amazing as well. Do yourself a favor. Get the peanut butter pie, this is not your average peanut butter pie. This stuff is to die for.

I'm gonna do it. I'm giving Singleton's Bar-B-Que, in my hometown of Florence, Alabama FIVE freaking stars! Let me explain. I've lived in Memphis for (mostly) the last twenty something years. Well, I'm tired of hearing about Memphis BBQ. While it has some fine points, none, and I've done my research, none of it comes close to North Alabama Q. So, take all of the Corky's, the Rendezvous, yes even Interstate and Neely's and keep 'em. Singleton's, hands down kills it. Try the pork in a sandwich or as a plate. Or do what I do and get the chicken. The sides are all amazing and the pies are actually home made! Remember to use that suspicious white BBQ sauce. It is pure vinegar heaven! And oddly enough no one up here in Memphis has ever heard of the stuff. Telling I think. If you're in Florence --- just go!

Good people. Good meat. Good God Go eat. Fall off the bone BBQ. This is one of my favorite places to eat in all of Flo-town. I have tried most of their food and I gotta say... it has never dissapointed me, but the one dish that I cannot get away from is the smoked chicken plate. Singletons just does it right. Its so moist you will wonder if the meat was ever even attached to the bone. Be prepared to get your hands dirty when you eat here.... sure you could eat it with a fork..... but when you see it you won't be able to wait long enough to pick up a fork. I could eat a single ton of their food.... or maybe two ton. Absolutely the best BBQ in Florence* *I know someone is gonna say Bunyans is the best but you take a chance of getting shot when you go down there* If your from the north you have got to go and try their ***White Sauce*** -- the absolute best sauce for chicken. Bottom line..... one of the two best places to eat lunch in this little town.

Went there for the first time. Highly recommended by some co-workers. The place looks like a BBQ spot. The waitresses had both been working there for years and years and were a hoot to talk to. I really enjoyed the food and it was a plateful! Had the pork plate and tried my first taste of "hot slaw". Nice atmosphere and the prices were right. I'll definitely be back..
