Finally!!!! Back in LA for Pop's good cooking!!!! I really love this place!!! Laid back atmosphere, waitress tells you to find a seat, and oysters that are so good it's like you picked them yourself. This is a really laid back place that serves some very good seafood. Crawfish is soooo delicious! I highly recommend it! If you love seafood, they probably have it on the menu and will make sure you go home happy!!!!

Stopped in for some oysters, snow crab & drinks. Great service, but waitress mistakenly rang up Alaskan king crabs for my ticket resulting in 9.00 over charge. I asked her to fix it, her boss would not let her redo it. She said to take it out of her tip. Apparently the boss thought it was ok to punish her and make some extra $ off of me. Food was good, but only giving one star for thug like management.

Ok we went to the new location and did not know what to expect. The hostess gave me menus and pointed to a table and told me that it was ours as she walked to another table. This being my 1st impression I thought this was going to suck. We ordered raw oysters and some friends ordered baked. The raw were fine as it is hard to judge because all they do is shuck them. The baked were awesome. The cooks are not scared of seasoning. I ordered crab legs hoping for the best and was awed at how good everything was. I will be going back. Yah it is still has the remnants of a Mexican restaurant, but do not let that fool you! Ended up having a great time.

Moved to a new location, ex-Mexican joint. Oysters were OK, nothing special. Rest of the meal was decent at best. I love hip-hop, but they were playing some seriously dirty booty music. Two waitresses came by to apologise, but no one changed it. Definitely not the best seafood in the Wiregrass. Wouldn't recommend it unless you're in the mood for a slightly raunchy seafood joint with Mexican decor and a booty club vibe.

Had the raw oysters ($9.99/dozen), ice cold and delicious even with a few pieces of shell, the shrimp po boy ($9.99), loaded with perfectly cooked shrimp and fresh toppings, and Yuengling on draft ($3), good as always.

This place was terrible! First, they shucked the oysters incorrectly so there were pieces of shell in the meat. They were covered in cheese so you couldn't see them but instead had to find the shards with your teeth. The gumbo was lukewarm and the rice in it was undercooked. The grilled scallops were over seasoned but edible. The crab legs were good but how can you mess those up? The waitress was overwhelmed even though it was a slow night. She did keep our drinks full but kept rushing away before we could give her our order. The check was definitely wrong. My husband looked at it and said it was $75. We gave her a $20 and our card and when she brought the check back it was $60 (after supposedly taking the $20 off).We asked to see the original check and it had $70 circled then off to the side $80. When I figured it out at home it actually should have been $76 after tax. I have no idea how she got the total or if she pocketed the $5 after we made it clear the $20 was not a tip. So if you do decide to chance it here double check your check!

This is to whoever wants or plans to eat at Pop's in enterprise...here is a little piece of advice....DONT EAT THERE THEY HAVE ROACHES!!!! We brought Lane for his birthday to eat there and my mom killed one on the table.....I told the rude ass waitress that there was a roach, she grabbed the napkin from my mom and threw it in the trash!! We finally got our ticket and my dad went to pay and asked the owner if he knocked anything off the ticket which was 100 dollars and he rudely said no and i quote "everyone has roaches"!!!!! Well i dont know about ya'll but i definitely dont eat at my house with roaches crawling on the table and i can guarantee he doesn't either!!! So that just shows you what kind of buisness owner he is and how he cares about his customers.....he got an earful from me!!!! Please dont spend your hard earned money at a place like this!!!!

If you looking for oysters in Enterprise this is the place to go. Very nice people behind the bar and very reasonable prices. The atmosphere could use updating. Other then the look nice place for oysters and a drink.

We heard good reviews about this place from some locals and should have ignored it. When you walk in the place just looks unkept. It doesn't look like a place that would serve clean seafood. And boy was I right. I ordered a dozen raw oysters on the half and I get them, freshly chucked....but NOT cleaned. There was dirt, sand, and black shit all over the oysters. I had to separately dip each of them into a cup of water to clean it myself. My husband ordered the fish and it was cooked well, however it was drowned in butter and salt so that killed it. The only good tasting thing in this 'hole' was the cocktail sauce, and I pray that they bought that from someone else. ....never again.

Ok so here is your warning. The food was less than OK, i would say it was edible, the place doesn't have a very clean appearance, the food took forever and a day. Ive lived in Hawaii for almost 10 years and been to countless seafood restaurants that didn't smell like dirty crotch. I don't think ill be going back to this place anytime soon unless they make some serious changes.

Not filthy...but not exactly clean either! Sticky tables, floors, etc. but, since we are in Enterprise which is the equivalent of living in a campground I kept a stiff upper lip and went with the "when in Rome" mentality! The raw and parm/butter oysters were good. That is the ONLY reason I gave them 2 stars vs 1! But, keep in mind those two items are fairly difficult to screw up. The shrimp étouffée was SUPER salty and the shrimp were tiny, over cooked, & rubbery = gross! Next, we were served our "grilled" scallops. I can not emphasis enough how incredibly disgusting these were...they were not grilled, they appeared to be pan fried in an overwhelming amount of fake butter (as they were YELLOW!!!) with lemon and some sort of over powering seasoning = totally disgusting/inedible!!! Finally, they managed to ruin perfectly good snow crab by overly seasoning with old bay (or some sort of equivalent) -yuck! And, the drawn butter was not even butter!!! Seriously!!!?! They can't even serve real butter!!!??! No wet naps for cleaning finger tips afterward. And, everything was served on plastic plates, Styrofoam "dinner" plates had to be asked for and plastic utensils were all the rage here! Ummm, so much for the green movement! Our waitress was friendly, but had to be prompted to bring us more drinks and reminded about bringing out our sides...and she did NOT remove the inedible scallops from our bill! A disappointing "dining" experience. If you like fried crappy seafood (which appears to be indicative of this area) you'll enjoy Pop's. If you have a more experienced palate and want to give this place a shot, do yourself a favor and just stick to the no frills oysters (i.e., no mignonette, no sorbet, etc!). And, don't expect a nice or even mediocre glass of bubbly to go with...the only effervescent beverage they have are the beers and the soda. Pop's succeeded in making me miss Cali even more!

Awesome food. Crawfish are done perfect. Good portions and price. Very friendly staff. Try it once and you'll be hooked. Visit when ever you are at Ft Rucker.

Visited the establishment Friday night with a group of friends. The service was incredibly slow. Food was served on plastic plates, everything was flatware for that matter. Fried flounder was over cooked. After waiting for over one hour, the waitress informed one of our party members that the entree she ordered was out. Not a good dining experience at all and I would not recommend to anyone!

I've lived in Enterprise for ten years but had never visited Pop's before. Lil' Jimmy Reed was playing there (old school blues) so my wife and I went. After a cocktail, I ordered their platter and my wife ordered red snapper. It looked like the only way they cook is by frying. My dinner was delicious (for fried). I had oysters, nice sized pieces of flounder, shrimp, and hush puppies. My wife's fish wasn't good. It was cooked with the skin on, and was "tough". I'm dubious about it actually being snapper. It looked and tasted more like catfish. The atmosphere isn't all that great, but it's a bar and grill. I thought the prices were a little on the high side considering everything, but not outlandish. For a total of three cocktails (absolut & cranberry) and our two plates, the ticket was $45. If I go back, it will be more for an entertainment event, not the food.

Lacking quality and consistency. Needs to decide whether they want to be a restaurant, club or bar. The operation as a whole lacks professionalism. Quality of food, very low.

Y'all are nuts. I enjoyed it. Sit at the oyster bar and chat it up with pops. Cool guy and oysters are great.

Love Pop's! I heard that they had the best gumbo ever () and it was conformed by Pop himself. Then I had a bowl.......better than what I've had in Louisiana! Absolutely fantastic! Then I topped it off with a cool dozen (after I counted there were more like 16 or so). Theybwere out of Red stripe, but I Just went with Shiner instead. Easy trade. Very happy with my choice for dinner. May have to come back tomorrow.... :)

It is a nice place to have a few drinks and get some OK seafood. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone wanting to get good food, but if they just wanted to hang out and grab some beer with food on the side then I would take them there.

I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago and it must be hopping on the Friday nights because when they opened on Saturday they were still cleaning up from the night before. The restaurant has a nice sports bar/oyster bar atmosphere and the servers are friendly. I ordered a grilled fish, it was just alright nothing amazing, my buddy ordered oysters and he was very happy with his selection. I'd go back and give it another shot.

Pop needs to be reprimanded for serving seafood like this. Apparently once seafood travels 80 miles from the coast it's no longer edible. I have had a disturbing amount of bad seafood for a place less than a hundred miles from the Gulf. Red snapper was leathery and they did not have half of the beers on their menu. I tried crawdads for the first time... not a fan. Taste like ground pepper and not much else. Never mind the fact that there is about .1oz of edible meat per 'dad. Wouldn't recommend them or Pops.
