For what this is, I was very pleased and impressed. Great comfort food. Excellent service. Fun and friendly with the locals all being very welcoming. Pork chop and fried green tomatoes blew my mind...MIND BLOWN

Hmmmm. What to say. What to say. If I were to describe this place in five words or less, it would be: cafeteria for senior citizens. I have nothing against senior citizens. My mother, and dinner companion, is a senior citizen. But it is just truly bizarre when the average age of a restaurant's patrons are age 75 and up. We had a seat near the entrance, so I was able to watch all the people coming in. Damn, I'd say that of all the people that stood waiting while we were eating, which was probably about 50 people, 98% looked to be my mother's mother. The place was constantly packed. It was packed when we arrived. Packed while we ate. And packed after we finished. I don't get it. It is nothing special. A restaurant that has a menu too big for its britches, and wait staff too overworked, and food quality that is substandard. The hushpuppies were the best thing about the meal. They came out for us to munch on while waiting for food, and came with the meal as well. They were mighty tasty. But I love hushpuppies no matter what. My mom got the catfish. It was a large meal, and she said the fish was a little muddy. I got the stuffed crabs. Three stuffed crabs that, if I didn't know any better, could have come from Captain D's. Steak fries that were as tasteless as wood. Oh, and if you want a box for leftovers, you will be charged 20 cents per. Oof. Standing in line to pay the bill took almost as long as it did to eat. All in all, it wasn't horrible. It wasn't gross. But it was definitely mediocre. And I would not rush back.

They are known for the catfish and it is delicious. The rest of the menu is good but they have kind of perfected catfish. They also have baked sweet potatoes which make you feel a little healthier about the meal. We eat there about once a month and it us always crowded.

Libby's is open again 3 miles out Hwy 67 going toward the Racing Horse Arena. They have had so much business that they have enlarged already and have much more seating. The lunch special is good - choice of meats, vegetables, salads and drink and dessert is included in the price of the meal.

Best food around! Simply put!

Unfortunately, they have suffered fire damage and were closed when we went by on 12/4/10. It appears this place is an institution though as the local bank was taking donations to help them rebuild and the nearby BBQ place had several advertisements stating that local clubs meet there. I hope they rebuild so I can try it out!
