I like their outside bar and patio. I am all about tipping well for good service, but not sure why they request tips here when you walk up to place your order, get your own drinks, pick up your own food from the window, and then clear your table when you are through. Haven't had great luck with a friendly face taking my order, but it is quick, convenient, and the food is always great. Smoked wings are worth going there for, especially when they are on happy hour. Wish they had Bleu cheese, they serve them with white bbq sauce.

Outstanding bbq! It's hard to find if you don't know where to look but the bbq is legit. Their sides are pretty good too, especially the mac and cheese, although the coleslaw was not the best.

Really chill place in sort of an isolated area. I tried the combo with smoked chicken and fried catfish. Chicken was ok, I kind of expected more out of a bbq place. The real stand out was the catfish, which tasted really fresh and meat-y. The thing that really got me about this place though was the Mac N' Cheese side. It was surprisingly really good, not too cheesy and I don't think I would ever get sick of eating it. I wouldn't mind eating here again if i was in the area.

Outstanding wings. Good selection on a variety of smoked foods. We often order out and find the staff very friendly.

ABSOLUTELY, the best BBQ in Mobile and Baldwin county in my opinion . This place is very consistent . i've eaten here a half dozen times and have never been disappointed .

Went there last night (Wednesday, May 27), the Q is ok, half-decent at best really. But the atmosphere is great. I've also been there a few times to just have a drink and listen to the bands play on the deck and it is a good place for that.

This was our first time here. We stopped off on our way home from a long drive. We were welcomed with a smile. The atmosphere is cool! We ordered the big sampler plate to share and everything was delicious. Perfect flavor and tenderness! I will return here. If I could improve one thing, a better drink selection in the dining area would be nice.

I go there for some live music and drinks, not the food. I find their pulled pork to be mushy and it lacks the smokey flavor; also, I like much more sauce on my sandwich. BBQ beans were very average, coleslaw was ok (it had vinegar base which I do like, but was too sweet to my taste). I would not go out of my way for their BBQ.

My favorite dish at this place is the collard greens!!! It is not on the daily menu but quite frequently offered as a side special. The cornbread too is awesome...slightly sweet which goes great with the greens. Another favorite is the smoked turkey sandwich! Also the sampler platter is an awesome deal!

Love me some Moe's BBQ. I have particularly favoring the Moe's Salad. Everything is FRESH and LOCAL! Their smoked turkey is So delecious and full of flavor. Chicken and ribs are on par. Favorite sides are the hashbrown casserole, mac n cheese, their cornbread...OMG. we order take out but dining in is great too with outdoor seating, pet friendly and live music.

Let this go down in my Yelp history, that to date, that Review #142 has been the most painful to write. To sum it up, after all the smack I talk about not eating what is called BBQ around here, I have to swallow my pride (gulp) and admit that ..... I like Moe's. (Slowly exhale). My husband kept on me to try Moe's because he likes that he can smell smoke when we pass it. I finally gave in and gave it a try. The atmosphere is definitely worthy of 5 stars. No BBQ place in Memphis could compete with the atmosphere and location. Best of all, the patio is pet friendly! Jazzy will be so happy she gets to tag along next time! The food, well honestly, it was pretty good. The meat had a nice pink smoke ring, wasn't dry and had a great smoky flavor. I opted for just the white BBQ sauce to try something new. I think it was the right choice. The hubs got the red sauce, which was a little too thin and had too much vinegar for my taste. They have an extensive selection of sides and beer. As my sides, I ordered dressing, which had more of a stuffing texture, and mashed potato casserole, which was excellent. My son had the potato salad and it was definitely the best choice. The texture and flavor were both impeccable. On my second visit, I had the shrimp Moe-boy, which is shrimp fried in a catfish batter with slaw on a toasted bun. It's not huge, but it is absolutely delicious. Maybe someday we'll try the ribs, but since I'm married to the absolute best pittmaster I know, I'll have to work my way up to restaurant ribs. Three sandwiches with two sides each and three drinks set us back about $30. That price made it even better. Now, that wasn't so hard. I'm actually already looking forward to our next visit to Moe's, with our sweet pup of course.

There is Texas bbq... There is Memphis bbq... But this is the best example of south east bbq!! Definitely the best in this area.

This place was pretty good. We got the sampler which consisted of some tasty ribs, pulled pork, AWESOME corn bread, jumbalaya, smoked turkey, green beans, smoked chicken ribs and breast, and wings. This huge plate fed my little family of 3 and had us quite full!

Way super-serious yuck!!!! This was not my first time at Moe's and I love the location and even the atmosphere. It was a beautiful day and since I had errands in the area I decided to pick up a late lunch to take down the road to the Bay. First the woman that took my order was not pleasant at all. When I walked back in to pick up my food a man was on the phone shopping hard for paper to-go bags. Once he ended that conversation and brought me my order he asked if I wanted a bag. I was afraid to say "yes" for fear of upsetting him about the vendor situation! So he handed me the container and sent me on my way - no utensils, napkins - nothing. About two minutes later I was on the pier, after using my trunk picnic supplies, about to eat a fairly heavy meal. There was not one edible bite in that styrofoam! I ordered the small ribs with two sides. The wrong two sides were on the plate. One was mac-n-cheese that was cold and had a stiff piece of velveeta cheese on top. The second was broccoli and cheese that was just gross. It was milky, runny and old. But - how can I ignore the ribs? Mind you I lived in Memphis for a couple of decades and was on a Memphis in May BBQ for five years. But let's just pretend SPAM is something I consider tasty.... Compared to these four ribs I would eat SPAM covered in Mayo before I would take another bite of what I bought for $13. All four of the ribs were of poor quality and covered in fat and membrane. Now we all know this cut of meat needs fat to create the flavor and taste, but I am talking about THICK layers of fat on the outer surface. It and the membrane should have been removed before the ribs were seasoned. Oh yeah - they missed that part too but seemed to be fine letting them overcook in a smoker. Lazy! Then, they were old, dry and one of the bites I could not chew enough to shallow. Hopefully the fish in Mobile Bay are able to handle the food better than I was able. There was no dry rub on the meat. The sauce was perhaps the worse I have ever had - perhaps 45% ketchup. There was a strange piece of bread that was fresh. It was very over-buttered and a cross between bread and a corn muffin. So add up bad service, an incorrect order, no utensils and some of the worse food I have eaten in years and you are lucky to have a star at all.

This is a good place to go in Daphne. It's not fancy but it is fun. The BBQ and wings are good and there are plenty of beers to choose. Our kickball team has been meeting here on Thursday nights after the game for years and it's a great hangout spot in Daphne. It is the kind of place where people can bring their dog and sit outside.

Simple but delicious. This restaurant is tucked away on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the outdoor area features live entertainment most nights. Patrons order their meals at a window next to the door where the menu is scrawled on a wall. Food is delivered thru another window in the next room. I had a pulled pork sandwich, Bama style with green beans and carrot salad. Hubby had the pulled pork plate with green beans and baked beans. Son had the catfish plate. The Pork was very good and the green beans and baked beans were fantastic. Even the catfish was good, and I don't usually like fish unless it is on a taco. The carrot salad was the only dissapointment. Highly recommend Moe's Bar B Que. Great atmosphere, good prices and very good food.

This place is laid back and fun. Good music, good Que and real nice people working there. Fair prices on food and beer. I like Moe's. I even got the t-shirt. Moe's is a place that makes you feel at home. Recommended!

Came here for lunch and enjoyed it. We got pulled pork sandwiches and the pork was tender, moist and flavorful. The potato salad was a good potato salaad, nothing fancy, just good food. They have live music at night and plentiful drinks. I have had to pick up more than one friend who came for dinner, but stayed for the shows...maybe a bit longer than they should have ;) They have an open air covered bar area and also an indoor eating area. It's a mason jar, white paper towel kinda place. No pretention to be found. The staff was SUPER! Very friendly people.

I like the atmosphere. The food was ok. My pork sandwich had a bar code sticker in it, which put me off. My husband's chicken was dry, but the sauce is good. They were out of a lot of things and weren't particularly friendly.

I was taken here by co-workers a while back. I had heard this joint was a great spot for live music and the bar scene but that they also serve Bar B Que. So it was weird to be taken there for something they were not really pushed for. We go there and it seemed kind of out of the way. No joke, it was scary driving up to the spot. It has that classic shack look. The Food was OK. Not mindblowing, but not bad also. Probably won't be a place I'll take people but will visit again if taken.

Usually love this place..good food and fun place to hang out...But tonight (Sunday 9/18) we go for dinner, sit in the lil bar place... waitress is out talking her cell, and three other people (wearing Moe's shirts..off duty employees perhaps??) were fairly intoxicated, sitting at the bar and reaching over it, serving themselves. No one said hello or anything. We waited a solid 10 minutes before we left....REALLY disappointing!!!!

Alright alright, ole SteveR is here to review Moe's. There were six of us in the group that swung by Moes. We just happened to be passing thru the area, I googled BBQ and BAMMO, we were headed to Moes. We went at an awesome time, we had the joint to ourselves. I went with a pulled pork platter (say that five times fast) with a side of Pot sal, cornbread and BBq Beans. The pulled pork was average but I love the sauce. Not usually a huge fan of the vinegar flavor, but it worked for me. I piled it on. The portion they gave me was kind of depressing but I am fat so a smaller portion is what I may need. The pot sal tasted...um, don't kill me here but...out of a carton. Nothing special. The beans were pretty good though. I LOVED the cornbread, however. It was just different. Not sweet. You gotta try it. Lady friend had the mac n cheese as a side and it seriously was GREAT. We all agreeded on that. You must try it if Mac N cheese is your thing. Other than that... I would rate my platter a 6.5 out of 10. Everyone else seemed to like (not flat out LOVE) their food and next time we are in the area, we may go back. Give it a shot, it isn't horrible, that is for sure.
