What a pleasant surprise. Excellent wings, great cheese bread, great cheese pizza, decent meat pizza. The only thing that is keeping this from being a 5-star review is the meat pizza had less flavor than the white cheese pizza did. Will be back, want to try their burgers.

This is our favorite pizza joint on the ES. Calzones are fabulous. Ingredients are fresh. We love it. Wish the chairs were more comfy, but we go back often regardless.

Pizza was good, but atmosphere was more bar than restaurant. Didn't feel right to bring my toddler inside, but there were people smoking at the picnic tables outside. I'll continue to order take out rather than eat in.

I had the calzone. In addition to it being massive, it was fantastic! Personally, I think it is the best in the area.However, the atmosphere is very much a bar. There is an attempt at a dining area but its bar.

Bentz Pizza is delicious! The atmosphere is laid back so it's a good place to bring your kiddo's w/o having to worry about them being to loud. The pizza is really good and the owners are always there to greet you, talk to you, and make you feel welcome. I would say that it seems like quite a long wait while waiting for your pizza but they cook their pizza fresh and made to order so I know that takes a while. I'm just saying, if you go their "starving" you should probably order a salad or an appetizer :) We don't mind the wait because we love fresh pizza & the kiddos play games or watch whatever football game is on. If you're tired of commercial pizza this is the place to try.

Pretty good pizza, interesting staff and clientele. We were just passing through, so I'm sure it compares favorably to other local fare... But it seemed like nothing special to me. Spoiled, I guess.

Great family owned place. The pizza is good, they have simple, but fresh salads and lots of PA charm. Stop in, have a couple of beers and some pizza, you will walk out with friends, everyone that comes knows each other and are very friendly. We came here for a school fundraiser, and we keep coming back. Great place to come to watch a sports event. Much better to come here than to Baumhauers by a mile.

Bentz's is amazing. Mary Beth and Mark are great, REAL people. The pizza is fantastic.. as is the atmosphere. We'll be making this our "Sunday afternoon retreat" during football season.

We were in Fairhope on a house hunting trip and discussing restaurants with our realtor. When he learned we were Pittsburgh Steelers fans, he told us about Bentz's -- not only is it a Steelers Bar but he said they also had good pizza. We couldn't resist stopping by on Sunday to check it out and ended up watching the game and enjoying a few IC Lights, homemade pretzels and one of their pizzas. Great ambience, friendly hands-on owners, and damned good pretzels and pizza! When we move here, we'll be regulars for sure!!!

Update: Not only is the pizza @ Bentz the best....so are the Calzones!!! This place really knows how to do it! I have tried other new places that pop up....Bentz will get me coming back every time!!!

The staff here is very friendly and the food is great. The italian sandwich is especially good. I'm not sure why someone described it as "smokey" because I have never seen anyone smoking there, and it's illegal in any restaurant in Daphne. There are nice picnic tables outside to eat at, as well as a bar and inside tables/booths. The pizza is pretty good, but the sandwiches and wings are best. Another big plus is they are open on Sundays (at noon), which is somewhat unusual for the area.
