Real, authentic, AWESOME food! And the fact that it's Thai food makes it even better! My husband and I began eating there about 4 years ago, when we both lived closer. I don't remember what made us stop and eat there, but one meal there, and I was hooked. The best time to go is at lunch. She (Toi) has a buffet. It's more like a small "hot bar" of food. All fresh. She and her husband run the place. She is from Thailand, of course, and he is from the US. He told us that they get up every morning at 4am just to chop the fresh meat to begin preparing for the upcoming lunch rush. Every item on the bar (there are about 10-12 items to choose from...with the exclusion of rices and desserts) is cooked to perfection with so many different flavors and spices. My first time eating there was actually my first time trying Thai food. Since then, no other Thai restaurant (and we've tried several) has compared to my experiences at Toi's. You MUST eat there! I recommend the green-curry chicken---that is if you can handle a little bit of spice! Exquisite! Yum!

WOW..!! I should have read EC's reviews before giving this hellhole my money. First of all, the comment about them making everything fresh from scratch is a load of crap. NOTHING I had was fresh. Chicken and Pineapple curry - We placed 2 orders of this. Chicken curry is made with sliced chicken breasts, this one had fatty dark meat in it. Not one piece of the chicken was cleaned from fat. It was also cut paper thin and looked like friggin cat food in red sauce. The pineapples ARE FROM THE CAN! You can easily tell they are too after taking one glimpse seeing that they're mushy and all small and in exactly the same size. Tom Yum Soup - We asked for very spicey. It came with NO spice, you can't even taste the broth! It was filled about 50% of CANNED MUSHROOMS. Disgusting. And 1 grape tomato that was cut into about 8 slices. Tom Ga Kai soup - Again, we asked for very spicey. As soon as I opened it, I could tell there was no spice. The broth did not have a redish hue. Again, filled 50% with canned mushrooms. 1 grape tomato cut into 8 slices. And no chicken breast meat, only dark fatty chicken meat. I had to put the damn thing down the drain because sipping just a little of the broth made me shrug in pain. It tasted like she dumped a can of coconut milk into water. No spices at all. Chicken Pad Thai - Again, made with super thin fatty dark meat chicken. The noodles were NOT thai noodles, it was like Angel hair pasta or some shit. I asked for very very thai hot spicey, NO SPICE AT ALL. Matter of fact, all the noodles were clumpy and tossed in lime juice. It was so gross to try and eat. The eggs were not stir fried in, they were cooked, chopped and put in, there was still even egg yolks in it. Pad thai is also delicious when there are chopped peanuts on top, I'm not kidding you....my pad thai had half a peanut on it, that's it =( Spring Rolls - We had 2 little clear containers for sauce, and they were only filled 25% each with sauce! It was hilarious because my husband thought they put a lid on someone else's sauce after they ate it and passed it on to us! The spring rolls had no taste, soggy fried shit, and full of air...literally. In addition to this horrible dinner, when we were ordering, my husband tried to pronounce Gaang Soupalote curry to the owner; and this guy goes "You don't know what you just said. You said that I look bad from the back. Just read me the description of what you want." WTF?!?!!! TIP: IF YOU DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO MISPRONOUNCE SHIT.....DON'T PUT IT ON THE MENU! PUT SOMETHING LIKE CHICKEN PINEAPPLE CURRY....DUH!! The owner also said that they make everything from scratch. I'm NOT a dumbass. NOTHING there was made from scratch. There's no waking up at 4am to prep anything. Full of BS. All the food was put into styrofoam containers and started leaking by the time we got home. I'M NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN. THIS IS NOT AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD. IT'S SHIT.

Couldn't agree less with the other reviewer. We went for dinner a while back and were the only people there. I swear the Pad Thai was made with spaghetti noodles. I was actually upset we paid money afterward. Nothing tasted like Thai food. Serious lack of overall seasoning. Maybe I went on a day when they were out of the correct noodles and spices? Won't return.

It's not the thai food formula you're probably used to. This is home style thai comfort food. The lunch buffet is cheap and it gives you a good idea of what to expect. A few styles of stir fried noodles, pork and green beans, ground turkey stir fry, and chicken curry among other things. There's always a dessert. Usually something like sweet coconut milk congee or tapioca and fruit coconut soup. It's not exactly like other thai restaurants, but I don't think that's a bad thing. It's just different, and delicious.

I've been to Thailand a few times, I've been to even more Thai restaurants. This is hands-down the worst. We had a group of twelve people and we had the lunch buffet, which is the only time they're open aside from dinner on Fridays. That means the buffet is their main source of revenue and as such should be at least passable. They're "pad-thai" was speghetti noodles with no Pad-thai sauce and some crumbled peanuts sprinkled on top. They had RAMEN noodles - actual ramen noodles on the buffet. Like twenty "cup-o-soups" had been microwaved and dumped in an aluminum serving pan. The curry was basically curry flavored water and for some god unknow reason it had pineapples in it. This is like someone from Hawaii decided they'd open a Thai restaurant and infuse all of the bad parts about a Hawaiin take on Thai food and try and pass it off as good. It sucked pretty high on the suck-scale. Luckily the huge crap-factor of this place drove us to a location called Thai Siam....which is the opposite of the crap-Thai served at this location. We all asked "How can this place still be in business?" The dining facility on Fort Rucker would have been far better.

Best to get there early for their lunch buffet. as it will become crowed and sale out. The food is true authentic Thai food. My other is also Thai and this reminds me of the food I grew up eating as a child. They use fresh ingridents daily and is worth the drive to Daleville! Not sure of the previous poster statements of the food lacking spices, because the food is full of spices and flavor.

I eat here quite often but due to my schedule (I work 5:30am to 2:00pm) I only go in when I am able to take time off work. The Thursday-Friday evening service has made up for that and I have started doing that when I get the chance. I'm not quite sure why one customer who wrote another review thought they don't make their food fresh, I've never been served anything that hadn't been prepared in the kitchen just before opening, and in the evening they make everything to order, The dishes I usually stick with on the Buffet are in the rear spicy section, and on Monday and Thursday the soup of the day which is a Pork/Noodle Soup on Monday, and a Chicken/Rice Soup on Thursday. I would go on those days, every week if I could during their lunch service (ha! I DO pay attention during Restaurant Impossible!) but you can order it to go Thursdays and Fridays. I am frankly surprised they open in the evenings, simply because not many people seem to know about them being open, they do get very crowded occasionally but like me, perhaps the people just don't understand that you can order ANYTHING on their menu or Buffet (I think) for pickup or to eat in. It's 5pm to 730pm, but they will happily serve you if you squeak in the door before 730pm. My favorite dish that they make is Lemon Pork, which is sliced pork on sliced cabbage with a wonderful tangy sauce with rice. It is to die for. I definitely recommend them, they have spicy and not spicy items on the Buffet, and I believe if you ask them, they will make things off the menu during lunch to go. The lemon pork, the service, and the soups are my personal favorites and why I gave a 5-star rating. The other things they make are just icing on the cake. One thing that does bug me a little, if anyone knows why, on their TV they play a (very limited) loop of some kind of Thai Singer with a backup group of hand waving women behind her. Is the hand waving some kind of cultural thing? Maybe because they have perhaps a dozen total videos, it gets very very monotonous after seeing it 50 or 60 times. I just wondered if it's a Thai thing? I'd love to see more variety in their selection. Just wondering. On the Survey to clarify a couple questions: Reservations, they do have a notice in their restaurant they they do group events. Parking, they share a lot with 4 or 5 neighboring businesses. Take-out, yes you can on the buffet, and on Thursday/Friday evenings you can call in orders from the menu for pickup.

Gloomy, greasy and sad are the most politically correct adjectives I can find to describe this awful restaurant. The menu has probably a total of five dishes, none of them the traditional Thai curry or pad thai you are used to. Yes, I can see how they are trying to distinguish themselves by offering a more "Thai homestyle" cooking, but, NONE? So we settled for some string bean pork, and honey pork. Granted, it was made fresh (we could hear the woman who also brought us our menu and water scrape the wok in the back) but it was greasy, heavy, and even though it tasted good, I felt guilty eating it because of how unhealthy it looked. My honey pork was just that. pork. Not the tiniest little bit of green to be seen. And my friend's string bean pork looked and tasted exactly the same as my honey one, except it had string beans in it... Okay.
