I usually work from either the Irondale or Hoover Hwy 31 store, this was my first time here. Ordered black dark roast, and it tasted a bit watery. The weren't playing a Starubucks playlist over the speakers, it seemed like someone's 1990's iPod playlist.. Pretty lame. The service was friendly and prompt, however. Store cleanliness and atmosphere was great, again, minus the 90's flashback. Probably won't come here again, good coffee is just too important when you go to a coffee shop. If you're a latte person, I'm sure this would be a great location.

First time at this Starbucks and while the staff was friendly, my drink was only 3/4 full. I mean come on. I'm already paying $4 for 12 ounces so I want all of those! I will try it again to see if this changes and maybe was just because they felt rushed but next time I will go inside instead of using the drive thru and give myself plenty of time to get my drink remade if I needs to be.

This Starbucks generally has great service...this morning, the young guy at the window never acknowledged me...the only words he spoke was the dollar amount of my drink...I was waiting for a "good morning" or "have a nice day" that I thought I would get seeing as I was the customer. So $4.63 later and a rude experience really bugged me. Please train your employees that the customer has a choice and chose to spend their money at your location, so treat them like you care about them.

Gosh... You guys know how much I support local. I just happened to be early for a meeting across the street from this Starbucks location (and possibly a few others). It made it an easy choice to park myself here for a quick perk me up. The people at this location have always been extremely nice. They're all flying around at break neck speed and getting orders out in no time. The coffee was hot and really, really fresh. On top of that, they've got some pretty great breakfast sandwiches. If you can't go local, go here.

Probably my least favorite Starbucks in the area.... Pros: friendly baristas Cons: coffee is always funky tasting (I.e. Burned), tea even tastes bitter most of the time and I've always ordered the same thing at other locations and it's been fine. Long wait times. Bathroom has been dirty quite a few times too.

Worst Starbucks in Birmingham. Longest drive thru wait times I've ever experienced. Staff is not personal and acts like they could care less about customers (in the drive thru). I go out of my way to go to other area Starbucks so I don't have to go to this one.

Came by to get some breakfast and some green tea in the morning. I went by the Drive-Thru and I asked if i could get that Citrus Mint Teavana tea, but asked if it was possible to get that iced. The guy sounded like it was not possible at first, but then changed his mind and told me that it wouldn't be a problem. I got my sandwich and iced tea, and later on down the road i tried it, and noticed it wasn't the Citrus Mint tea, it was actually their standard iced green tea that they served me. Sneaky? Shady? Lazy? He could have just said no and that it was too impossible a task to ice my Citrus Mint.

The service today wasn't great. Three guys working, but very busy. Might be more pleasant experience with a smile and less bad attitude.

This is the best Starbucks in Birmingham Alabama. I love everybody that works there great teamwork.

Poor service. I was the only person in line and the staff made me wait while they chatted away on their cell on a personal call. When they finally took my order, the girl was rude and got my order wrong. Just laziness.

I am typically a local biz supporter, but there are certain measures one takes when you need coffee. So this is my GO-2 place. It beats burnt coffee at the Chevron. I particularly enjoy this Starbucks because many local Cahaba Heights people are drawn to connect here which brings a local vibe to it. The staff is great and friendly even when pre-coffee partakers are not early in the morning. The inside is clean. It would be cool to see Starbucks take more of a local role in connecting the community together through various events such as board game nights, etc. Nonetheless, it's coffee and it's a good place to get it in a fix.

We are local coffee shop fans (primavera) so we don't usually stop at Starbucks, but I'm glad we did! It was busy this Saturday AM! I was impressed with how well the seven baristas worked together is such a small space. I still won't be a regular, but when necessary--I'll be happy to visit this clean, bustling Starbucks!

This is probably the only Starbucks that I have visited that does not play any music in the background. Which is fine, but it tends to amplify the work done by the baristas. This particular time, there were two female baristas and one was extremely loud, with a terribly high-pitched voice. I could hear their conversations clearly and it was really distracting (forgot my head phones that day). I don't think I've ever noticed the baristas' chatter or work before at any other Starbucks. Overall, the service is fine and I have no other complaints, but be sure to bring your headphones unless you want to hear the baristas talk about all of their personal issues or yelling at each other about all kinds of stuff (not exactly coffee-related). I suppose this doesn't add to the atmosphere here, and I really wish I would have brought my headphones...
