I enjoyed this dining experience with my family. The server was good. The food was good. No complaints. I was able to make a special order without too much hassle. I can recommend this Outback. I had a special order of crab legs.

Nice restaurant! Almost never had to wait! But the service terrible most of the times...... One day I went with my fiancé and this waiter keep coming every three minutes asking everything is good? I couldn't even have conversation very very annoying happened to me a lot of times and once in a while there's good one! 3 stars just because of service...

First of all I would have given you 5 stars if you hadn't changed the tuwamba pasta! The portion size has almost been cut in half, the crawfish has been taken out and the taste of the sauce has changed not for the better, but the price has stayed the same. Please go back to the way it was made before! I will say your cheese fries are awesome and your ranch dressing can't be beat. Please please go back and change your pasta dish back to the way it was before...

Nestled inside Brook Highland Mall/plaza - it is easy to not notice this Outback. As always, bread is hot and delicious. Food was average. Our steaks were slightly overdone and dried out. The sides were good especially the vegetables. Service was average - possibly small staff and they didn't expect it to be as busy on a week night.

Food is fine but service is VERY slow. For the price, there are better meals in the area. No management on the floor. Indicates problems in the kitchen. Too bad.

What a pleasant, peaceful and enjoyable lunch after church. It was nice to have a place that was not so loud I felt like I had been to a concert. I ordered the Ribeye cooked medium and it was perfectly cooked throughout with delicious seasoning. (It is a bit on the salty side) We did not order any starters and I had the ceasar salad that was ok and a "dressed" baked potato that was very good. My husband ordered off the lunch menu and had a cheeseburger that he said was good and looked pretty good. And he had the tortilla chicken soup. It was a small cup but he said it had a good flavor and he felt he had enough. I will go back again. I do not recall the waitresses name but she was very lovely.

Two hours of my life that I will never get back. AFTER I was seated. Incredibly slow service.

We've been going to Outback for years but have not been there for quite a while - probably a year or so. OMG what a change! The steak was about as thick as shoe leather, I was offered a bake potato that I never got, the beer was warm, and the salad tiny. I was so disappointed! I think the poor food quality, the sparseness of diners and the average service spells doom for old outback. I give it 6 months. I just couldn't believe the steak! I should have taken a picture but was in too much shock. Don't waste your time. Down under has gone down under.

Amanda gave excellent service tonight at the bar. Food time was epic. Drinks were perfect. All around a great experience for dinner.

First of all I am not one to complain. I wanted to go to outback because I love their prime rib. I am a steak person. They did not have prime rib so I ordered the ribeye, my husband ordered the full order of ribs. Our server Phillip was awesome!! The steak did not look or taste like a ribeye the ribs were like 6 ribs. We asked for the manager due to the poor food quality and quantity. The manager was a young female who totally was not trained in dealing with people she had a attitude and poor people skills. Seems like this place is going down hill.

Outback is always my first choice for a steak dinner. Whether it's good quality or service, you just absolutely can not beat the prices that outback has. A delicious steak for around 10-18 bucks isn't bad at all! This location has been my go to for hears, and is always clean and tidy! There's always a crowd here, and keeping this in mind, it is remarkable that the service and wait time don't suffer! We're in and out before we know it! Also the blooming onion that Kevin Harvick wins for is a wonderful addition! It's a delicious dinner with a reasonable price tag, it's awesome!

Restaurant is nothing special. It is to steak what Red Lobster is to seafood. There are much better steak houses in town. This review is based on three very recent visits. I always get steak when I go to a steak house. Hey, that is why I went. I have tried the New York strip both classic and wood fired and the house sirloin classic. I like the wood fired version better. The steaks are mediocre. They are too thin and are not flavorful. Baked potato is a baked potato. There is nothing special here. Salads are mediocre as is the mainly white bread in spite of its dyed appearance. If you are into wine, forget this place. They have no good selections. If you want a cheap steak, go here. If you want a good steak, go elsewhere. I gave this place a 3 star because it is okay, but it is not for a person who likes really good steaks and a proper wine to accompany. This chain won best steakhouse in the last Best of Birmingham poll. Well, that tells you who votes in those polls. Okay, yes, but best, not even in your wildest dreams. This is not a restaurant I would be rushing to go back to. I do want to add that service is always fast, friendly and helpful. They are never crowded later in the evening on weekdays. Proprietor is very accommodating and professional.

Nothing irks me more than an understaffed restaurant during peak dining times. How does corporate let this happen?

Outback's Brook Highlands was really surprisingly good with my pre-conceived low expectations. I have been to other Outback's and had meals that were not up to par with this Outback or maybe they have all improved. This was a favourite of others in my party of 10 on Mother's Day (Today). The food was served on time for 10, "Cam" the waiter was on top of all food & drink orders with a wonderful attude. Sure I have had better steaks but not at these prices. I was impressed. Try feeding 10 with apps, drinks, entrees, coffee and deserts for $320.00 with a generous tip included; at Fleming's or Ruth Chris; it cannot be done with with 2 easily. I will be returning to Outbacks- Brook Highlands.

It's good as chain stores go. We come here for the free bloomin onion whenever Ryan Newman finishes top 10. Their sponsorship is what keeps us coming back.
