Grilled salmon with dill sauce was SOOO good last night....ended with a loaded sweet potato! Hit the spot after a long day of driving!

I travel a great deal (circa 120 nights a year on the road) and I dine at Logan's fairly regularly. This is not a well-managed location. It was crowded, so I sat at the bar (no problem there), but the drink fountain had apparently not been cleaned in some time, resulting in a sour smell that permeated the entire area. The Caesar salad was very good - for once a salad with actual greens. Sadly, that was the high point of the meal. I ordered the 12 oz ribeye, and it was frankly the worst steak I have had in years. Service was indifferent at best. I come from the restaurant business, and issues like this always go back to management. This restaurant is walking distance from a hotel where I stay regularly, but I won't be going back. There are too many choices in the area to give another try to a restaurant this mediocre.

Very slow service. Waitress was awkward at our table, asking too many questions, lingering and not knowing what was on the menu or knowing what drinks they had. She said she had been working here several months, and she doesn't know the menu by now, or how to divide a check without being gone for ever? Probably just a waitress issue. Normally we don't have such problems. The salmon and veggie skewer was good.

We were lucky enough to have some gift cards for this place otherwise we probably would never have gone. I was however pleasantly surprised. The service was wonderful and the steaks were cooked exactly as we requested. They did not disappoint on this particular occasion.

Service is horrible at this location. On a Saturday night, they sat a family with a toddler in the middle of the dining room with cheering football fans and tons of foot track. Toddler cried the whole time - his parents did not try to tend to the child and staff said nothing. Food was regular chain restaurant food. No flavors. Definitely have seen better from this chain.

Low quality , steaks smothered with salt stuff, salad poor quality, buttered rolls were tasteless, peanuts had to be second quality. Beer was good and onion petals extremely greasy. Not coming back.

It's a typical roadhouse, with a lot of steak and BBQ. I had the filet mignon, and it was a bit dry, with no seasoning. At the best steakhouses I've been to, that's been melt-in-the-mouth; not here. The other cuts are actually better. The grilled chicken, however, was outstanding. Really, really yummy. The rolls are great too, very fluffy and light.

To be a steakhouse, it's a poor one. Both steaks we had came out over cooked and unseasoned. Im not expecting Ruth's Chris quality here, but I do expect the cooks to at least put a little salt and paper on the steak and know how to cook a steak to a proper medium. I will never return. I agree with Mandy C, Texas Roadhouse is a MUCH better venue for a decently priced steak.

Have been to the Logan's in Trussville and on 280. Both places seem to have the same issues with service and quality of food. Being on 280 and wanting to sit down for lunch, we decided to try Logan's on 280. We were seated after a few minutes and drink orders taken. The waitress returned promptly with the drinks and then returned with a basket of rolls. The kids were enjoying the rolls and started o drink from her glass of water and noticed chunk of dark material settling in the bottom of her glass. It was about the size of a pea. We showed the waitress and she returned with a fresh glass of water. We placed our order and the waitress hurried off. After being there about 15 minutes, a couple was seated across from us. Their drinks were brought and them being there a mere 15 minutes had their order on the table. It wasn't that big of a deal but we noticed they basically ordered the same meals we did. Anyhow, our plates were brought about 5 minutes after that. The waitress asked that we cut our steaks to make sure they were cooked appropriately. My wife cut hers as I struggled to cut mine. Was kind of shocked how tough the steak was but thought it could just be an unsharp knife. Both steaks appeared to be as we ordered them. Things went downhill faster as we started to eat. First my wife found a hair in her broccoli. It would be one thing if it was on top of the broccoli but it was under and wrapped around the broccoli. Next, my steak, both types of shrimp were room temperature at best. The only item that was even warm was the baked potato. The potato was not even warm enough to melt butter or the sour cream that was on it. We notified the waitress of the lackluster meal and experience. She notified the manager and replacement broccoli was offered and an explanation of why it took so long to get our food as opposed to our neighbors. We thanked the manager for the offer but declined. The waitress then brought the bill and told us the meal was on them. It was a kind gesture, however we had gift cards from Christmas we were trying to get rid of. We thanked them for the meal and gave the waitress the two gift cards as a tip. I know that sounds a little crazy but it isn't the server's fault for not being trained properly or foreign material in the food. We decided before leaving the table that it is unlikely we will ever eat at a Logan's again and give the server he tip since it wasn't her fault no matter how you look at it. Hope the owner(s) of both Logan's (Trussville and 280) take the time to read some of these reviews people post. Most of the less than happy customers issues could be rectified with proper training of staff. The owner sets the standard for how the staff serve the customers.

Service excellent! Our server Todd was amazing. He was thorough, attentive, polite and informative. Something I would expect from a fine dining restaurant. Give this man a raise! Our group decided to come back a second night specifically because of him. The 2 meal deal was awesome! Get the steak tips, the gravy was awesome! Perfect amount of food! (tip) Ask to sit in Todd's section.

I've been here several times but the service on this outing was sub-par. They forgot my side dish when food was delivered, waitress didn't leave a pen to sign check with (I went up front to hostess to find a pen). Other servers that I overheard, I could barely understand. I was just ready to get a box & leave. I hope to leave a better review when (if) I go back. Food = OK++ Service = you can do better.

After checking in late at our hotel, we were tired and very hungry. We decided to head over to the nearby Logan's Roadhouse for dinner on a very busy Saturday night (around 9PM). The place is similar to Texas Roadhouse which is pretty loud and there are lots of peanut shells all over the floor and peanut dust in the air, so if you're allergic to peanuts, do not come here. We were seated immediately at a booth close to the kitchen. We ordered 2 Diet Cokes and went over the menu. It took a while for my friend to decided what he wanted, so the waitress did not rush us and returned 5 minutes later when we were all set. My friend started out with a half dozen Smokin' Hot Grilled Wings ($7.99) served with Tabasco sauce, which were HUGE wings with plenty of tender meat. He finished them all by himself! I started out with a Garden Salad (one of my side choices with dinner), a mix of romaine and iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, real bacon bits and dressing on top, which was good. We were also given a basket of hot soft rolls with a sweet butter, sooo good. Our dinners did take a while to come out (25 minutes) as we munched on the free peanuts from the pail. My friend ordered a Health Nut Grilled Chicken Salad ($8.79) which was a good sized portion of Romaine lettuce loaded with tomatoes, corn, black beans, cheese, spicy grilled chicken strips and a cool ranch dressing. I ordered the Southern Fried Catfish ($11.49) which were 2 catfish filets deep fried in crispy cornmeal breading & tartar sauce (pretty good) and served with mashed potatoes (pretty good) and a brown gravy (too salty). We were pretty full and passed on ordering any dessert. Overall, the food was okay to pretty good. The service was alright and delayed, probably due to the place being very busy on a Saturday night. My friend's utensils and napkins were missing after his food was served so he had to track down another server for utensils. Our server did check up on us a couple times during dinner and refills on the soft drinks were dropped off quickly. I would try to come back to Logan's Roadhouse at a less busy time.

Average steakhouse with a corporate chain feel. Server was attentive and did not let drinks empty. Wait time was short. Felt steak cut was a bit thin and though cooked to order was overly salted for my taste. Blue cheese dressing was full of blue cheese chunks but easily separated from the base. Appetizer assortment was okay but highly disliked the wings which were soggy instead of crisp and only two measly pieces of celery.

Stopped here for lunch and sat at the bar. Server was friendly and food was great! They weren't as busy as a weekend but quite a few people thee and never felt neglected at all.

Nothing impressive. If you are in this area then i would recommend driving to Hwy 119 in Pelham and eating at Texas Roadhouse instead. They have the same concept with similar menus BUT the food and service is much much better.

Normally we love Logan's but I have to say I really got sub par carryouts, especially considering I tipped generously.

Server name was Ethan. Service was sub-par. Nothing special about the visit. Food was good. Wish the service was better. I am a server so I know it is not hard to put forth a little extra effort.

I went to McCalla, Alabama and I really wanted to try my favorite dish which is steak and shrimp. My boyfriend took me to Logan's Roadhouse, since he heard it was good. Oh my it was so delicious!! Usually almost all the restaurants I go to do not cook my steak to perfection which is well done and they did! They shrimp was great! Mashed potatoes was great but the fries were a little soggy. But overall great waiter and great service! I would go back!

I come here quite often because is close to the hotel I stay while conducting business in Birmingham. I smoke so I like to sit at the bar since this location is one of the few that still allows smoking in the bar area. The staff and management are very attentive and friendly. I had a small issue and they took care of it immediately. The food is really good and the bartenders are awesome! If you are in the area and don't mind to sit at the bar I highly encourage you to visit this place. Try the Roadhouse Style tea, is very tasty!
