Ohhh man!! What can i say!!! I came recently with a friend and we BOTH fell in LOVE with their "Cadillac" margarita!! It is the BEST MARGARITA in town!! Their food is great and the staff is wonderful as well. I will say that PEPE makes the best fresh squeezed lime cadillac margarita!!! Ask for him.of u wanna a really good one!! This is my new favorite spot! ;)

Really good Mexican food! I had the camarones a la diabla. It lived up to its name. It was super hot! It had great flavor too. I would be hard pressed not to get this again when I return. I will definitely be back here. I had a medium sized Margarita which was good but not great. I couldn't get over the feeling that they used some sort of powdery mix and it was not mixed well enough so the drink was a little disappointing. However, the size was generous and apparently the large is "like a helmet for your head". Lol

This is my favorite little dime a dozen dicey looking Mexican joints! The food is consistently good, the servers are nice and attentive. The salsa is fresh and delicious not seasoned ketchup which you end up with in a lot of these types of establishments.

Overall, it seemed to be catered to please the masses. The salsa and guacamole was very bland. I ordered the (shrimp) A La Diabla, it had a mesquite flavor and wasn't very spicy. I had to add jalapeños to it... I had hoped for more but it just wasn't for me.

I love this place! Best cheese dip and salsa in town. The food is fresh, not frozen. Great service. Eat here all the time!

I've only been once and it was just OK. Service was great and prices were good, but the quality and flavor didn't make me want to come back. I wouldn't avoid this restaurant, but I've already found a few much better options within two miles of this place. I also know a few people that swear by this place so maybe I caught it on a bad day. (?)

Chips and salsa are good. Food was very good. House Margarita had rum in it? Never had one like it. I sent it back and had a top shelf instead. Very good service and good price.

2nd best salsa in town. Best when on point but disappointed when bland. It has become very inconsistent. Food is always consistent, hot and served quickly. Service is the best in town. Servers are very personable. Prices are very reasonable.

I heard really good things about this place and I was not disappointed. They have a fantastic menu to choose from. I ordered the enchilada supreme plate and practically licked it clean...it was sooooo good. There margaritas are also quite awesome. Someone told me that there freshly squeezed watermelon margarita is must, but unfortunately they don't make them year round. I will definitely be back!!!

La Fiesta is very conveniently located for anyone in the Hoover/Vestavia area. It's right smack in the middle of Hwy 31 in Hoover, so it's super easy to get to, no matter which direction your coming from. This is important, because La Fiesta fits into my "hard to tell one from the other" Mexican joints. That's not a bad thing, By the way. The service is fantastic and the food is more than tolerable. Again, fitting right into my "hard to tell on from the other" category. If anything sets La Fiesta apart, it would be the spicy salsa, multiple large TVs, and the margaritas that don't taste "pre-produced." It appeared as though all of the regulars were asking for a guy named "Philippe" to be there server. So that's my advice to you... ask for "Philippe." His chips must be crispier than others.

The best Mexican restaurant in Birmingham... And, so far, my favorite in the entire state. I've been going here for about 10 years now and have sampled most items on the menu to no disappointment. The food is never bland, the salsa is spicy, the meat is high quality and cooked well, and it doesn't hurt that the top shelf margarita is absolutely perfect. The service does leave a little to be desired so don't expect a quick meal, especially if it is busy, which is normally is.

If you are a chips and salsa fanatic, this is the place for you! The salsa is spicy with wonderful flavor. The more you eat it, the hotter it gets but I cannot stop myself! The service is always friendly and quick. You cannot go wrong at La Fiesta!

Best Mexican food in Hoover! I ordered take-out tonight and the total for two entrees, cheese dip, and some extra salsa cups- price??? 24.00$!!! And the food was fabulous! Last week, i ordered takeout from another Hoover mexican place and the price for one entree, side of grated cheese, and a large cup of salsa (no cheese dip) was $26.00! The food there was just so-so. Go to La Fiesta- good value, good food!

Quality seems to have dropped. Lettuce and tomatoes tasted old. Overall prep was good, though. Service was slightly more friendly, but still a little dry.

I didn't know Mexican cusine included delcious chicken wings, until I had them here. Please just order them and have your glass of water close by bc they pack a spicy punch! The sizziling fajita plate is also awesome & largely portioned. The walls are adorned with photos of patrons in ridiculously large somberos. Yes, my picture is on that wall somewhere...more than once. There's a back patio that's great for the warmer months, with a big screen TV, usually playing college football. The big winner here though, are the margheritas. Oh, passion fruit margheritas, how you tried to destroy my liver that one time. And those many other times. I really recommend them wholeheartedly. You should ask for Marco to make them and make sure you have an exit strategy to stop drinking them.

LaFiesta has great food. I highy recommend "J" and "45". Their sauces are great. Margaritas are very good and strong. The weak spot is the chips and salsa. Service is pot luck, but more often good. Nice outdoor seating with covered area. We call the owner the "taco Nazi" (ala Seinfeld). If you know the reference, then you know what I mean.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
