I was drawn in by the signs advertising $1.99 large drafts, and very glad for those signs. The weather was nice so we sat outside on the patio. Tried a couple different Mexican beers they had on tap--Dos Equis Amber, Modelo, and Pacifico I believe. Steal of a deal at $1.99 for a large mug (at least 20 oz. if not 22). I think that deal is daily until 7 PM. The food was great as well--Mexican joints that will substitute black beans for the standard refried always get a plus in my book. Chips and salsa were good, all around solid experience here.

Prepackaged margaritas (the kind you drank in high school from Walmart), store bought salsa, and pre frozen food. The only difference between this place and just buying it at the frozen aisle at Winn-Dixie is the tacky decorations. The upside is they are cheap as sin. If you are hungry for cheap Mexican but figure yourself too good for taco Bell this is your place.

Just so so. Not my favorite Mexican restaurant at all. But.... The top shelf margarita was pretty tasty.

I drive all the way from Greystone to get to this restaurant. The food is terrific and the service is great. The Owners are very friendly and talk to the customers. On Thursday nights they have Cuban food also as a treat. The wife is Mexican and the husband is Cuban. What a great place! During the warmer months it is fun to sit outside.

My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant for a couple years now and really enjoyed it until recently. About a month ago we had a "new" waitress who couldn't get our order right if I wrote it down for her. Today we went back to give them another chance. We had the same waitress and ordered the same thing as last time. She couldn't seem to understand that I want to ADD rice to the meal along with the beans and salad. Had to tell her to get me the refried beans that come with the meal. My strawberry margarita was LIME. Needless to say, she got no tip at all this time. We will never be back. There are way too many choices and we travel too far to waste time and money on service like this. Never had such bad service. The waitress is the young, blonde girl.

The Chilaquiles is just awesome and expertly crafted. I've had Mexican food across the country, in Dallas, LA and NY, but these guys are masters. If you like spicy dishes, try the Chilaquiles next time.

At this point, I should just write a standard Mexican restaurant review and begin copying and pasting it into these reviews. This isn't a bad thing and would save me a ton of time. La Brisa can now safely be added to my list of Mexican joints that I won't avoid. The staff was nice, the salsa was spicy, the margarita was good, and the food was par for the typical Mexican restaurant course. They had a bunch of crazy flavored margaritas, including watermelon and coconut. Sadly, they were pre-made and only came frozen, so I didn't partake. Not that I care about when they were made, I just like my margaritas on the rocks. It is surprisingly spacious inside, with both tables and booths. When the weather is right, there are a hand full of tables out front on the "patio." It's close to the house, so I'll be back. Good job, La Brisa. Way to keep up with the Rodriguezes.

Great little neighborhood Mexican place. The camarones a la diabla are excellent and super spicy. I love the hint of garlic in the cheese dip. Service is excellent - they remember you after one or two visits. Great drink prices, too. I've never had a bad dish here.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
