This is one of my favorite Chinese places around Trussville. I'm a sucker for Chinese buffets because I am extremely indecisive when it comes to ordering Chinese. Anyway, they have a wide variety, but last time I went the air conditioner was out, and I am quite picky about how I feel while eating. Also I am leery about the cleanliness of buffets. This one especially since there are soanu kids.

This is a pretty good buffet. They have a sushi bar and the lo mein and hot and sour soup are pretty good. Certainly not the best, but for buffet fare they are more than passable.

This place will definitely hit the spot if you are looking for a Chinese buffet. It's no frills, but it had pretty tasty fare and sushi to boot. It will do the trick if a Chinese buffet is what you're out for.

Compared to the other unsuitable chinese buffets in Birmingham, the place is better than average. The Good: the price is right, the fake sushi is delicious and looks real, the food is fresh and refilled quickly when its busy The Bad: if they arent busy then don't go, they arent about to make more fried popcorn shrimp for 2 guests who payed for lunch price. The fried scallops are minced fish. Many ingredients are cheap substitutes. The Ugly: The lady who runs the place isnt exactly nice, and the employees look like indentured servants involved in human trafficking. I still like the place cause its clean, local, and consistent. I always know what to expect here because it changes very little on a regular basis. If you go to other chinese places like the one next to the movie theatre in trussvile, your non-buffet food will taste like old buffet food. Your waiter will also be part of an illegal work force but of the hispanic kind. Don't get me wrong, they work harder than thier honkey counterparts, but I know they don't get payed as much. Trussville isn't ready for an authentic chinese place, until then, this place is not bad.

Me and a buddy ate here today and we both got sick from food poisoning. I'll never eat here again!

Crowded and unpleasant. The food was average to standard inferior buffet stuff. It's not the worst, but its definitely not the best.

Food was limited for a Friday dinner. Most of the chicken was breading and overcooked so it was hard. Chicken on a skewer was sitting there the whole time I was there since it was so overcooked - it was like a piece of wood. The best part of the buffet was the Sushi(great for a buffet) - otherwise it would have been 1 star. I have gone to this restaurant a lot since it opened, and I think it is time for an overhaul. Seat cushions gone, carpet was dirty and now it looks like a store instead of restaurant - selling scarfs, jewelry, etc... They ought to sell spices, soy sauce, mustard if they want to sell other items. They need a new cook that will not overcook everything. Dry is not good.

We don't live in the area, but a great place for lunch or dinner when we come from North Alabama. It's always here or Jim 'n Nick's dependent on what we feel like. It's almost always good.

This is a mom-and-pop Chinese buffet located in the Kmart strip mall in Trussville. It's nestled between a Mexican place and a chicken place. It's cozy but there are some interesting buffet selections including fried slices of salmon and a wide seafood-rice-egg roll looking thing cut into slices. The main thing about this place is its incredibly fresh seafood offerings. There is a woman who makes salmon and yellowtail-topped nigiri. A dipping sauce is included. However, the pickled ginger was a disappointment. Whereas lots of other buffets make mundane looking and mushy tasting seafood casseroles soaked in sauce, this place offers an excellent light shrimp dish with large pieces of shrimp. Pros: some unique items not seen in other buffets, real sushi, good seafood Cons: bad tasting pickled ginger, not too many veggie options, they leave the white rice sitting in the rice cooker next to the sushi station, a bit small, and far out of the way for someone living in Bham center.
