The worst Chinese Restaurant I've ever been, period. Service is bad, all other waitresses ignored us except one and have to waited to see her again and then we would eventually get what we need. All the dishes we tasted are same and I guess they are all cooked with the same sauce, the beef, chicken, pork, shrimp... just put in different ingredients and that sauce. Shame on them! Destroy the image of real Chinese Food.

I completely agree with the other reviewer. This place is typical Chinese/sushi joint. We came for dinner the other night and got a variety of dishes to try. I ordered the Tom Kha soup, the dragon roll special, spring rolls, and garlic beef. We also ordered the large sake, and a Tsintao beer. I would rate the food as good. The rolls seemed to go a little on fishy side, my soup tasted a little better with soy sauce added. I didn't try the beef but it smelled great, and the rolls were typical. I like the traditional interior with lots of oriental ornaments. The fish tanks are a nice touch. I will come again when I'm in the area, since Valdez food options are so limited, and I had a nice simple time.

Never tried a Chinese restaurant like this. All dishes are the same taste. They must use one sauce for every dishes. Too bad! This restaurant might be good for America people. It has changes to American taste. If you are Chinese do not expect anything delicious.

When comparing Fu Kung to regular standards it is a 3. When comparing Fu Kung to Valdez, AK restaurant standards, its pretty damn good. We ordered the egg rolls as an appetizer which were definitely frozen pre-packaged, but not bad. For main dishes we got the Mongolian Beef and the General Tao's Chicken. Also, not bad. It was not only edible but it was actually pretty tasty. We finished almost all of our food. The service was great and the place was actually pretty crowded. Overall, I was pretty satisfied.

We're Taiwanese, and we think Fu Kong is really not that bad, it maybe 3.5 at other places, but since it's in Valdez, we think 4 is appropriate.

FU Kung RIPOFF. $46 for fried rice, wontons, and an egg roll. Tastes like typical fu king Chinese food though.

Decent Chinese food, stay with the simple dishes (vegge, noodle, beef). Add one star for Valdez.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
