Good, honest food for a weary traveler. So sad that they had forgotten to tend to the bathrooms. Broken tap in one. No soap at at all and paper towels al over from the ample but seldom emptied waste baskets in both men's and ladies' bathrooms. I hope this was an aberration.

After spending the night in Tok, we started our day with breakfast at Fast Eddy's. My wife had eggs, hash browns, and toast, while I had the country Benedict, which was a biscuit, ham, and scrambled eggs, covered with sausage gravy. Both of our breakfasts were good. Service was good.

I stopped by here along my long drive back to Fairbanks from Haines. I ordered the Alaskan burger, I think that's what it was called. I would describe it as a "long" burger. 2 patties side by side, not stacked on top. The burger was ok, nothing that drove me crazy. Only thing I thought it could use was a little more bacon. The curly fries were a little over fried and tasted a little dry but the food portion is almost enough for two so I was happy. I give it 3 stars overall.

Delicious meal. Fast and friendly service. Bad a ribeye with shrimp and salad bar. It was a perfect meal after a long day of driving

This place is amazing! We had the BBQ chicken burger which was to die for!!! We also got a pitcher of soda since after doing to the math saved us a few dollars ,.. And for a large pizza half cheese half pep and was great as well, place was clean and servers where sweet as pie :)

Delicious...and it's a good thing too because it's pretty much all the city of Tok has going for itself. This place stands even in a busy town and I've been to many. Will definitely return next time I'm in town.

As a local, this is the go-to place for eating out year-round. Each of my family members has their favorite meals. Mine is the Southwestern Chicken Salad with grilled chicken versus breaded so it is glutenfree. The salad bar is great for much-needed fresh veggies in these parts. Family enjoys the pizzas (not glutenfree). And every Friday night is Prime Rib Night, a special treat. Service is friendly and almost always timely except when huge rushes occur, usually during summer hours but also can happen when mushing (dog sled) events or other events take place in the region. Almost the only game in town, but they don't rest on their laurels and slack off. A pretty consistent eatery on the Alaska Highway with hearty Alaskan portions.

I was impressed with the portions they provide. My MiL and I shared a Captain's Plate and still weren't able to finish the whole thing. It was a great price too! The salad bar was awesome!

Practically the only legit place to eat from Whitehorse to Anchorage as far as I'm concerned. Literally true in the winter, probably figuratively true in the summer. Food was great, service was great, and I was so happy to eat. Cleaned my plates! Love it!

Great stop in Tok. Extremely substantial meal. Big portions , friendly service, good salad bar, excellent prime rib. Just what we needed after driving on the rutty and dusty previous 250 miles on the Alaska Highway. Highly recommend this place. Only 4 miles past the Tok River campground.

An Alaskan institution in Tok. Have always stopped for a meal here when passing through. Always a good meal at a good price. Open from 6am till 11pm just about a mile south of the junction going towards Canada. Want something a bit more healthy then the standard burger or awesome pizza? Try the salad bar.

Good, nothing great but the only real food in town. Pizza is best bet. Freshly made to order.

Stayed for the night on my through, motel is what it is, but the restaurant was good. After a long drive the server could tell I was in need of a beer. The staff was great and warm, and they love kids. If I ever end up in Tok this place is a hidden gem, and the breakfast is top notch. Blueberry pancakes were awesome.

Beautiful salad bar. Varied menu. Super nice and friendly staff. Locals and tourists eat here. Fast service and large portions. One of the best experiences in our two months in AK.

Had the light breakfast and it was the perfect portion. It was also fairly priced. Great pancakes!

Fast Eddy's in Tok, Alaska is mentioned by many to be a "must go and try" when in the proximity of Tok. I agree. The pancake stack was fluffy, and seemed to be the size of small car tires. Any dish here is so substantial in portion, that you really need to go in while you are super hungry. The coffee is flavorful and mellow. I enjoyed it. Great place to recharge before hitting the road again.

Mediocre food, slow service and high prices in a loud and crowded setting. Granted, when you're in Tok, AK, your dining options are going to be quite limited, unless you grab your rifle, go out in the forest, sit in the cold for a few hours while chewing tobacco and drinking Busch beer, all while waiting for your unsuspecting dinner to come foraging within your sights. Better hope it happens before all those cadillac sized mosquitoes suck every last, fucking drop of blood from your body. After a long day riding up from Whitehorse, we were tired and hungry, wanting a good hot meal, some liquid grapes and a warm place to just chill out for a bit, before heading to bed. On arrival, we were seated right away, even though the place was hopping. Our server took our wine order and disappeared for 10 minutes before coming back to tell us the wine was out of stock. We order a different bottle and another 10 minutes before she comes back to tell us that it too, is also out of stock. I offer up options 3 and 4 (as that was the extent of their red selection) and again, she disappears for another 10 minutes before bringing option 4, as option 3 was also out of stock. We order our food and off she goes, into the wild. We wonder if she will end up like Chris McCandless. While we sit there checking things out, we notice patrons walking by, with dishes overflowing with salady goodness. We want some. When our waitress comes by, with our entrees in hand, we inquire about it. She tells us "oh, that's the salad bar and it's included with your meal". Oh really? Thanks for telling us earlier. We'll just make like Italians now, and eat our salads after our entrees. Although our Canada/Alaska experience was truly amazing, our dining experience on this particular evening was not. No biggie. Next time we're in town, we'll go check out the Thai place, which the locals tell me is quite delicious. Good times in the wilderness!

I wasn't expecting much from Tok, but was I surprised. I ordered a Turkey sandwich on Sourdough and my wife ordered off the "Finger Food" part of the menu and got the clam strips. My sandwich was good and fresh, but nothing special, but both of us was so surprised with her clam strips! It was a large basket with fries. I finished my sandwich and helped her with those clam strips and we both left full. The place (Including the bathroom) was very clean, the waitress was just running but we never waited very long even though the place was full and she was alone. I will go back the next time I'm in Tok.

Spent the last 5 days traveling through Canada, first stop back into Merica and it was great! Service was fast and prompt, portions were huge, music was playing "American Woman", a bald eagle came in and I gladly shared some of my omelette. We high fived as he left carrying his American flag, and then a bell went off and I could hear freedom ring. Worth the stop either in or on your way out of the US.

This review is pretty late, the place was so crowded and a good RV park to stay. So I ordered a cinnamon rool, and it was huge even no raisin. It was a long drive and we have fun enjoy the trip, and this is the only best restaurant in Tok, AK. Our trip took about 2,000 miles, and good thing is a good place to sleep right near by and motel are avaiable. Good service, and the price was Pricy. This breakfast was turn to be a great success, Tok was our last spot to sleep and gone back to Fairbanks.

Went here for dinner while staying the night. Great service. Very busy so get there right when they start dinner. The salad bar is very fresh and well stocked. The chicken strips I had where cooked perfectly. The curly fries were great as well! Had a chocolate milkshake that was very good! If I ever pass through here again, I'd come back for sure! We hopefully will have breakfast here tomorrow as well! Huge menu!

We stopped here for dinner on June 10th 2015. The salad bar was wonderful as well as the states. The service was great! The best part was that they had free WiFi. After being in Canada for 2 weeks without any cell or internet, it was a welcome surprise!

They are the only "real restaurant" in Tok, so they win! LOL! :) Their food was average for a city with many choices, but again it's all there is in Tok.

Had breakfast here the morning I checked out and the coffee was amazing (according to the waitress it was because of the fresh water they make with it, it's just Fodgers) plus I had the french toast and some sausages. Very good and filled me up nicely.

With a name like Fast Eddy's I thought it was a pub or a grill, which it turned out to be more of a diner. There is typical food items like burgers and pizza and seems to be consistently busy. I ordered the bacon burger with swiss, and wasn't too surprised when it turned out to be white american. My friend got the halibut burger that was battered. He was smart to ask for extra tartar sauce as the amount on the bun was given sparingly. The fries were good, though the food was a lot. Alaskan meal sizes never cease to amaze me. Decent beer list.

Fast Eddy's is a one stop shop in Tok. We camped out back, showered, used the internet and stuff ourselves for several hours. For small town Alaska food this place was killer. The huge portions helped to ease the pain of the price. We ordered the Alaskan Burger which had double the meat for only a dollar more. It turned out to be a great deal, feeding Devon and I for half of the night. The bacon that was on top was crispy and the cheese fully melted. A nice touch was the grilled hoagie bun. For two hungry cyclists more carbs is always better. For our second course we ordered a pizza. Each topping was $2 on top of the base price for cheese. Making our own pizza turned out to be much more cost effective than ordering their "specials." The marinara that we dipped our crust in was excellent. It had a spicy kick to it. The next morning we woke up and stumbled into Fast Eddy's to fill ourselves with coffee, protein and carbs before braving the road to the border. The Alaskan Omelet was huge! Unfortunately they were out of gravy so we didn't get the full experience of the Alaskan aspect of the meal. I really enjoyed the hashbrowns cooked into the center filling. The one plate stuffed us both. Between breakfast and dinner Fast Eddy's does breakfast better. There is nothing between Tok and the border worth stopping at so if you are headed out of Alaska fill your belly and hope you make it to Buckshot Betty's in Beaver Creek, Yukon, Canada before you get hungry again. P.S. The food comes out lightening fast. You won't even have time to go to the bathroom between ordering and eating.

I was impressed with this restaurant--great food, fast, friendly service, and reasonably priced. Had the Ranch Chicken Sandwich, breaded, with beer battered fries (an extra dollar). The sandwich was tasty, moist, and not too greasy. The fries were very good, but, after sampling my date's regular fries, I'd say the beer battered were not worth the extra dollar. I'd definitely eat here again. The menu was a good size, and the beer list was great (mostly bottles). Best you can get (in Tok).

Been to Fast Eddy's twice. A lot of times on the road, the only place in town isn't really the best eating... but Fast Eddy's is actually GOOD. First time we stopped it was going along the AlCan from Edmonton to Anchorage, and since it was getting late we figured we should grab a bite... crowded, big portions, good food and while pricey, not horribly so. The second time was coming from Fairbanks to Anchorage (scenic route) and was closer to lunch time, less of a crowd, but really good food still. I highly, highly, highly recommend it. Everything that was eaten with both groups was great.

I've spent the last two weeks in Tok without a car, staying at Young's Motel, which is right behind Fast Eddy's and I've probably eaten about two meals a day here for the last two weeks. I have to say that I'm quite impressed with Fast Eddy's. I didn't know what to expect from a little town like Tok, but the restaurant is spacious and clean, the service is friendly and very competent and the food is served hot and fresh. For breakfast, I like the Country Benedict, which is two biscuits topped with your choice of sausage or bacon with scrambled eggs on top, covered in country gravy with hash browns on the side. The biscuits aren't too big and doughy, so the protein/starch ratio was to my liking. I ask for the hash browns extra crispy and they come out perfect. The only other breakfast items I tried were the oatmeal (not hot and way too clumpy) and the belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream (the waffle wasn't very crispy). The coffee is your typical diner coffee (weak and flavorless), but at least it is fresh. For dinner, I prefer their burgers, be they beef, fried chicken breast or fried halibut. Their buns are toasted and when I ask for extra crispy fries, they deliver. I had the rib eye and shrimp one night and the steak was fatty and chewy. Shrimp were good, but there were only three. The accompanying baked potato was so so, but the included salad bar was good. The lasagna was too salty. The grilled halibut was decent. The Ultimate Nachos not all that great. They also have crab and lots of sandwiches and appetizers. The servers all seem to really know what they're doing. I always ask for a side of mayo for my fries and Tabasco and they never seem to forget the little things like that.

We started dinner with a power outage. Rare but it helped our diet. The staff is friendly and rapid. We have been here many times over at least 15 years - before the buses stopped at the front door. Anyway, I had a California burger with an lager style beer from Fairbanks. I cut off about 1/3 of the hiatus bun from my hamburger because nothing was there. It was very good though. People around us could not believe their meals and this is AFTER they had been through the salad bar. Power came back on, but instead of fries I had a baked potato with stuff on the side. OK diets are challenging.

I see lots of good reviews for this place, but I don't know what was so great about it. It seemed like a nice place until I ordered my dinner. I ordered a ribeye with steak fries and it came with the salad bar and a roll. The ribeye was cooked just the way I like it, medium rare, but that's about where the good stuff stops. It wasn't seasoned at all. Not even salt and pepper. It was probably one of the worst ribeyes I've ever had. The roll was nice and big, but even with the butter, it wasn't very good tasting. The salad bar had been sitting out all day so the lettuce had started to turn brown and the only salad dressing they had was bleu cheese. I think the best thing about the meal was the steak fries. I guess you can't really screw those up. But they weren't seasoned or anything either so they needed plenty of ketchup. The best thing about this place was the good looking staff. Overall, I think this place was terrible. I would never go back.

Always busy, lots of locals. Clean, well stocked, crisp veggie salad bar. Steak sandwich & California Burger. 2 good AK beers. We wouldn't eat any place else in Tok but beware - the Coffee sucks.
