We went in today on a recommendation from a friend. We had the queso and flat bread which was DELICIOUS. We also had the T-rex, but that was a hard choice given all the options. The crust is definitely not a Pizza Hut pan pizza type crust. it's thin and crisp but not crackerlike. There was just the right amount of sauce and delicious toppings. What we took home was delicious even cold. The atmosphere is nice, the staff was very nice... definitely a place we'll be going again.

Great choices for pizza. Toppings are awesome. Crust is average at best, and the crust makes the pizza. Service was a bit slow. Also tables had not been wiped down between customers. Good atmosphere for families. With Pioneer Pizza and Pizza Delphi nearby they may have trouble competing unless they improve the crust.

This place has good pizza usually but the wait is horrendous. Tonight we waited more than one hour after ordering to get our pizza. This has happened more than once. Plus, every time we order pick-up they give us a time to come get it and we still wait for longer than it should take. We really want this place to do well and stay open, but the consistency of terribly long waits is making us re-think our loyalty. Maybe the owner needs to hire cooks with better time management. Or put a notice in the menu that lets customers know they can expect to wait for a long time. I understand the pizza is gourmet, and that's why we like it. But we can get a gourmet pizza at Moose's Tooth in less than half the time it takes here. Please do something to solve the terrible amount of time it takes to get our food here.

We were really looking forward to eating some very special pizza. Reading the other reviews this place sounded like they knew great pizza. It is average. Well I liked the drive thru cheeseburger . And we got the t-Rex - the crust is pre warmed before they add the toppings, I suggest a spritz of olive oil and 1/2 c more sauce. For the price (Alaska has high priced food) the pie is inline with all our resturant eating. I was expecting more for some of the other reviews built Humdinger's up. But it was nothing special to be overly excited about. The balsamic vinaigrette was good on the house salad. *update-to the owner. I loved your tables (concrete and metal) and unique menu style. I have lived in Boston and have eaten Todd Englishs' pizza. I like thin crust. I was expecting that caliber crust. I wish you continued success. I will add a star because 2 does seem cheap. It was decent pizza.

Sad to say how quickly this place went downhill. Guys? Look at your empty dining room!! They went to these terrible parbaked crusts that just ruin it for me. And I really wanted to love the Man-gherita but chorizo is not the right meat choice for that variety (at least for me). This chorizo seemed only to add grease to the dish and it was definitely not gastro friendly.

Excellent pizza! Worth the drive from wasilla every time. I'm working my way through the menu but the T-Rex is the best so far. Best crust in Alaska.

I've never liked their pizza. The crust is way to hard and the toppings just taste a little funky. I've been their twice and didn't like it either time.

The best pizza I've had in the valley. Crust is good, sauce is good, toppings are ample. The don't make it gloppy and messy like some pizza places that call themselves gourmet. Kinda small dining room, but I guess it works for them. We will be back for sure.

Either everybody had a different pizza than I did or people are way to comfortable with $5 dollar frozen Walmart pizzas. The sauce is ok, crust is terrible, and the toppings were about the only redeeming quality of this pizza. Just because you charge $22 for a large pizza does not automatically deem it gourmet! !!

The best pizza place I've visited in Alaska. My go to place for getting a good pizza near home. Staff is extremely friendly and always willing to help. Meat Lovers will enjoy the T-Rex and Cheese Lovers will appreciate the Tour de Wisconsin. Remember to finish it off with the cheesecake in a half shell!

One of the best pizza places in the Valley!! The Bruschetta is delicious and the pizzas are phenomenal!! Order a side of their homemade balsamic to drizzle on everything...it will make your life better!! Now the service, on the other hand, is not the best (this is where the 4th and 5th stars were lost). On several occasions we have just been left sitting at our table wondering if our waitress had fallen down a black hole in the back, never to be seen again. All in all it's a great little restaurant with delicious food!!

Waited forever for our pizzas, and when we asked for an ETA we were told they forgot about our order. 90 minutes later, we opened the box and they were the wrong pizzas. I'm all for family owned local establishments, but this place did not have their act together. The pizza was mediocre. If you think this is the best in the valley you must not eat out often.

Not bad, but the reviews are surprising because I've been here twice and it was average. We order from Pioneer Pizza nearby, and find their pizza outstanding.

Excellent pizza and wonderful choices! Similar to Moose's Tooth but a lot more homey. Small local location with wonderful food.

Humdinger's has the best pizza in the valley by far! We ate there for the first time this weekend and will be going back again and recommending. Our wait wasn't bad at all. Ordered the breadsticks and by the time those were gone our pizza was out. Ingredients are fresh, crust is perfect and crisp and the atmosphere is great. Took our toddler and she loved it too. I ordered the Gyro pizza and my husband had the T-Rex. He said it's the best he's had in AK. I agree. Staff are all very nice. Can't wait to try the Wisconsin pizza next.

Love the pizza here! Creative menu, friendly staff, and great service. I've been a few times now and have not had any issues with slow service or anything else. Everything has been fantastic each time. Will definitely be a regular spot for us.

Had lunch there a week or so ago. A co-worker had been raving about it and talked us into going for lunch. All around us people were seated, ordering and eating what looked like delicious pizzas. I wish we had gotten the same treatment. There was a free table for us which we sat down at right away. Unfortunately, it was 20 minutes before we got someone to take our order. Two of us split a large buffalo chicken pizza. The other guy ordered a personal size meat lovers(t-rex?). Then we waited. After 50 minutes, the meat lovers came out. It looked delicious but it was still cold in the middle. Twenty minutes later we got the buffalo chicken. We were very disappointed to find it undercooked. The crust was very doughy and on top of that dough was an excessive amount of buffalo sauce and ranch. To soupy to eat... I felt like there was also too much blue cheese, but had the pizza been more crispy, this may have been ok. Finally, when splitting up the bill, it took three tries and almost 15 minutes to get it right.... All in all we were there for Almost 2 hours and had to watch several people come and leave before we were served. I am giving it two stars because I know that they CAN make good pizza in a timely fashion, it just didn't work out that way for us.

I have only had the opportunity to eat here once but the pizza was fantastic! Not your everyday PizzaHut pizza. That atmosphere is great and the staff exceptionally nice. I would recommend not to be in a hurry when eating here, the wood fired oven is not very big and takes longer than usual to make a pizza.

Great pizza. Fresh ingredients. Worth the wait.

Decent pizza place. They use a brick oven so I guess they could undercook the pizzas sometimes according to some of the other reviews, but our pizzas came out perfect. No complaints. The place is really small though so not a lot of seating, although it was only me and my wife and one other table of people there at the time. We went around lunch time though. Overall, good food and lots of different pizzas choices. I'd go back again.

Will be giving them another try, food was decent, toppings seemed to mainly be processed vs. fresh. My wife loved the cheeseburger pizza, with pickles and mustard on the side. We probably should have read the menu better, as the coconut topping on one pie was a gagger. So that is definitely on us...Ambiance was great, friendly staff, clean. Will be ordering again!

We did not enjoy the pizza. The toppings were under cooked while the crust reminded me of pilot bread. The best part of the thai pizza we ordered were the bean sprouts.

I just ate at Humdingers today. Quite possibly the best pizza I've ever had! The Surfin' Rancher was our favorite today. Excellent flavors mixed together in unexpectedly delicious ways! The atmosphere was comfy and warm, with local art on the walls and beautiful hand-crafted furniture. All the staff were welcoming and fun! Definitely going back whenever I travel through Palmer in the future.

My family ate at Humdinger's for lunch today! It was a great spot for all of us to have exactly what we wanted! They have a great assortment of specialty pizzas as well as build your own! Not to mention the out of this world chocolate dessert!! The service was family friendly and we were all served with a genuine smile! The prices are reasonable for gourmet home made dishes! I would strongly recommend this as your family pizza joint!
