Update Summer 2015: The proprietor has caused me to switch from being a stalwart supporter to one that recommends avoidance. I don't appreciate being yelled at solely because I don't share the fringe perspective that he has displayed prominently and is very outspoken about. There are many other locals who no longer patronize Charlie's because of this fanaticism. The passion for making an outstanding pizza appears to have suffered also, because it just doesn't taste as good as it once did.

Their pizza pie is gnarly! The Chef's Salad is wonderful as well, but their Breadsticks w/ Garlic Butter is phenomenal! I always order too much, but it's just too good not too! Excellent dining experience if you feel like going in; friendly service, arcade machines for children, cool things to gaze upon as you wait, or they can deliver if you're feeling lazy and want to stay home!

With respect, the earlier review is incorrect. Charlies is totally meh. Save yourself the twenty minute drive and do business with the friendly and speedy staff at Kenai River Pizza next to Blockbuster in kenai. My experience has shown the pizza to be floppy, with sour flavor to the dough, not sourdough. The staff had dirty hands. What is up with that? When I asked about it, they said they had been "working" on the building. (?)
