Got their two slice and a brew deal. Great pizza, especially the spaghetti pizza. You have to ask for it! Would definitely come back next time I'm in town.

No, just no! I am 32 years old and have NEVER met a pizza I didn't like until this place. I tried the "Street Dog" which is supposedly "Light Pizza Sauce, Caramelized Onions, Reindeer & Rope Sausages, Roasted Red Peppers, Homemade 1000 Island Dressing & Mozzarella". First off it claims "light pizza sauce", but pizza sauce was nonexistent. Secondly there were barely any caramelized onions or roasted red peppers on the pizza at all. Half the slices literally had none. Lastly, there was so much 1000 island dressing dumped on the pizza that I couldn't taste anything else. Yuck!

Went for lunch, nothing special, not worth avoiding but not worth flocking too either. I had a chicken hoagie (just a fancy sandwich) fairbanks lager was nice, little more expensive than Oregon but same as most in Anchorage. Had a salad for starters but wasn't great.

Good pizza. It was easier to get into when other places were crowded. They have a two and a brew special. Good for a quick meal.

I walked in to place and order and just waited as I waited for my ride in downtown. I got the reindeer marinara and it was NO GOOD! It sounded good on the menu, but the flavored just didn't come together, I think the sun dried tomatoes were too sweet. This review is solely based in the fact that they offer this pizza and that it is gross. The staff was alright, maybe they have a fun atmosphere at night or on the weekends, but I cannot trust the other flavor/topping combos they offer. I would probably stick to just a standard pizza next time, but I probably won't come back unless a bunch of friends are going... There are so many other great pizza spots and its a bit small on the inside. It took a little over 15 minutes for my pizza, but that seems reasonable.

Charming stoned counter staff. The employees seem to help each other out. Very easy going: you can drink a beer at the tables outside. Pizza was ok, probably needed reheating, but cheap enough not to complain."

The pizza is good and it's reasonably priced. I got bbq chicken pizza on the spelt crust. Delicious.

Uncle Joe's is a funny thing for me, overall the pizza is good, I really enjoy the sauce.. really tasty but the service is just plain terrible. Waitress just doesn't care, no refills, missed items on the order, didn't even come over to the table to take the order, no box offered for leftovers.

I wanted something quick for dinner and that is what I got. One of their lunch specials is $8 - slice of pizza, salad and drink. The pizza is OK and the salad is somewhat fresh. Pick your salad carefully because I just grabbed the closets one and some of the lettuce and tomatoes were wilted. The reason I am not grading it a star higher is because service is a bit lack-luster. Customer acknowledgement could improve a bit.

I will keep this review short and sweet: Best pie in town, hands down. That's all, folks.

Poor delivery service. Took over 1 hour. Order wasn't correct. SIGH. Such limited selection in town.

This place is right next door to one of my favorite gin joints, and I stopped in for a bite to eat on my way home. It was okay! They have a special "Two and a brew" two slices of pizza and a beer. I thought it was a good bargain. The pizza slices are HUGE, and the beers include very good stuff! The za was just average, but the beer was good for the price. For $10.75, a pretty good deal considering some of the beers would cost you 6 bucks alone anywhere else.

Ordered an 18" four cheese pizza, was quoted an hour delivery time, but it was more like 30 minutes. $24.99 before tip, not too bad for delivery. It wasn't the most amazing pizza we've ever had, but it wasn't a grease pie like you get from other pizza places - which was awesome. I would order from them again. I would have liked to try a specialty pizza, but the kids insisted on cheese.

Pizza is good. Delivery service is not. When placing my order I gave my address and was put on hold while they checked I was in area. When he came back on the line, he asked me to repeat my address. I informed him that I have had delivery from this specific location, and was told that people are wrong and he needed to make sure. This went on for an additional two minutes, after which he was still unable to locate my address. I ended up hanging up and calling Guidos pizza who had no problem completing my order.

Just had lunch today at Uncle Joe's. Mind you, did extensive self-guided walking tour of Anchorage and was exhausted in need of lunch. Had the special with two slices and a drink -- the sausage-beer and the Hawaiian pizza slices were awesome. Moreover, the staff was absolutely exceptional -- even stopped by my table to clean it off before I sat down and also stopped by twice to see if I needed a free drink refill. From their bantering with other diners, you could tell they take a lot of pride in the food quality and innovation. Just very genuinely friendly and gracious. Much kudos

Great break from cruise and hotel food! Fast, hot and tasty. Had pizza, garlic bread and the grilled chicken.

Pizza by the slice, downtown. How cool is that? The restaurant has a neat feel to it too, the folks here are friendly. I bought two slices for 700 bucks. Cheap, too. the flavor of the sauce is good. The taste of the crust is good. The pepperoni is fine. the only drawback is that it tasted like it'd been out there spinning round and round on that little wire rack thingie like a gyro for far too long. So, good taste, cheap pizza. just ask if they've gotten it out of the oven recently...

Been here a few times, previous visits had been eh-ok, last one was A-OK (mostly due to some surprisingly good service) and I hope will be the standard for future visits. Pizza is good. Not spectacular but nothing to complain about. Like the 1 or 2-slice and a drink special.

Bottom Line: Make sure that the waiter actually puts your order in. We watched several tables get served that came in 25 minutes after we had placed our order. When I finally asked the server if he had actually put our order in, he lied about it saying the order would be "right up". Then I saw the employees hastily making our pizzas. Caught red handed, he admitted that is what happened. I was not upset by forgetting to put the order in. Stuff happens - right? But to lie about it and then not to offer a substantial discount was unacceptable. Pizza was only fair at best. Would never go back again.

This pizza place is great! We are in Anchorage 1 night prior to boarding our cruise. Went to a local brewery and it was almost a 2 hour wait. My wife doesn't care for pizza but opted to eat pizza rather than wait all night. After salad, pizza and wings my wife was happy. She commented several times how good it was. Price was right, staff were pleasant despite being extremely busy, and food was excellent. My daughter had a meatball sub and my mom had a meat lover calzone. Both were big enough to feed 3 people! We had lots to take back to the room. Doubt we will be back to Anchorage anytime soon but if we are ...we will be back!

They have gluten free pizza which is difficult to find for celiacs and gluten intolerant, plus they deliver.

My favorite pizza place in Anchorage. The salads are huge, the beer selection is good, and the pizza's are delicious and reasonably priced.

Always dependable quality and reasonable service. The staff seems to be ever changing, but they have always been good at customer service and making the pizzas. I almost always get the same (the Super Hawai'ian) as it's the best one of it's kind anywhere.

The pizza was good and the ingredients tasted fresh but a tad on the bland side. Service was a little slow with one waitress working the whole place. I'd eat there again.

I checked the reviews before going and they seem to be mixed, so I didn't know what to expect. Well the food was very good. I had the 12" reindeer sausage with pesto sauce pizza with the thick crust. The service was great also. They were very attentive to all the customers. The seating inside is kind of limited, but there are a few tables outside if the weather isn't too bad. I would come back again next time I am in town.

This place is very good! The veggie pizzas we had were really good! At 10.30 pm , we got some fresh baked ones. I loved them!

Very good pizza. Several standard deviations above the national pizza chains. Cool location, cool people. I'll be back for sure.

For a quick slice you can walk in and get one but it might not be real fresh. It will be slightly warm and edible and sometimes that's all you are looking for. They run a "special" of a slice (and you can usually select from a few kinds) of pizza, a small salad or soup and soda for about $9, or two slices and soda for the same price. I think they do a better job with pizzas that are made to order (therefore fresh) and their sandwiches, particularly the gyro are good. They also serve beer and wine at this location. Biggest complaint is the music which is always blaring and there is a TV running at the same time - very annoying. Noize overload.

Decent pizza at a reasonable price. The pepperoni seems a bit oily though. It's a good place for a quick lunch downtown. They have a lunch special - 2slices and a drink or a slice with a salad and drink. The salads are tasty as are the soups. They also have beer and wine but since I usually have to go back to work after lunch I haven't had an opportunity to check out their selection. As the other reviewers have noted, sometimes it seems like the pizza might have been out on the display for awhile...ask if there is anything coming out of the oven soon if you want fresh...or if you ask nice they will usually slide your slice back into the oven for a minute so that is hot and bubbly again.

I thought is was a great break from all the fish and reindeer my husband had been gravitating toward during our trip. Sauce was good - my slice was fresh and very cheesy.
