We have been going to this pizza place since 2012, when we moved here and will keep going here :D We do dine in and take out and have never been disappointed. Really like eating at places that are locally owned and operated, even better that it is by our house :P

Great environment and good food. An old style pizzeria worth the trip! Good kid environment also.

No stars. I despise liars. I ordered two pizzas last night and asked for extra sauce, as I have many times in the past. The manager told me he'd have to charge me an extra dollar. I asked when they started doing this and he said it has "ALWAYS" been like that. No, it hasn't. Their pizza has become drier recently and now I know why. Last night was my last pizza from these douche-bags and I will find more people to join me in the boycott. Message: WE HATE LIARS! And pizza is only so-so. Being from the lower 48, I know what REAL pizza should taste like. They miss the mark by a mile. Over-rated pizza sold by douche-bag liars.

Okay fans, bumping Uncle Joe's up a couple stars. Went there tonight with the kid. Service was on-point, everyone was friendly, and the place was clean. While the food is still unsophisticated, this place fills the gap for a local pizzeria on the southside.

More like 3.5 stars. I've ordered here a number of times and have had some great experiences and some not so great experiences -- i.e inconsistent. The pizza that I ordered here was........blah. Not all that. I really wanted to like it but it just didn't do it for me. I think I'm spoiled from Moose's Tooth.... I ordered a chicken sub here and it was OFF da chain...incredibly good and pretty good value at ~ $12. It's more like a calzone and is loaded with chicken and cheese and the best dough......mmm.... One time I ordered the chicken sub and 15 minutes later the server came back and said "oh I'm sorry we're out of chicken" -- I'm like-- did it really take you 15 minutes to figure that out??? Also ordered the lasagna here on one occasion -- it was....a bit of a miss. Pretty forgettable. They sometimes have live music here which is fantastic. The service here....is not all that good. I usually have to flag down the waitress to get any time of attention. All in all, if you live in the Southside and don't want to wait for a table @ MT or don't want to drive to midtown, this place fills the void.

Last Friday it took 2 hours to get our order. Food is good but 2 hours?

This review is for delivery service. We ordered a small 'chef's special' pizza minus the sausage (but I'm sure it's good, I may get it on it next time).. and an order of 10 hot wings, w.ranch for the dipping sauce. I live so far up the hillside that I even called the store number before hand just to make sure they want to come up here/have an adequate vehicle (said the driver had a volvo - awesome). So, I placed the order and viola ! a little over an hour later, he makes it almost all the way here. Such a nice guy who delivered it, poor guy because there was a 4x4 (!) stuck in the hill blocking the road to my house. I drove just a couple of driveways down to him, where I saw him all turned around and everything. He brought my pizza and wings out to me, in the blowing wind and snow, mind you. Then when I say just a couple bucks change please, the guy insists on giving me a $5.00 bill. Way to win my business back. At home, my 9-yr. and I feasted on some really good wings - perfectly cooked and sauced. Really healthy, compared to other ways wings are usually prepared. Just the right amount of 'hotness' too. :) Man, what a good end to a Valentine's day. By the way..the pizza is really N.Y.-style. It's got a cornmeal dusted bottom and the crust is a bit chewy but you can fold it and it's rather tasty. I like knowing someone hand tossed it too, less preservatives and such I'm guessing. Uncle Joe's, thanks for delivering to us hungry Hillside folk - we really appreciate your driver's braveness to drive through mountains to get us food. Next up is the ribs to try out...and a dessert pizza. That sounds great, see ya next time when road conditions are better as well!

The pizza is terrible, frozen sausage balls from a bag, gross and it appeared that they used canned mushrooms. The cheese is obviously low grade and the pizza was dry but still very greasy. The sauce was nothing special but not offensive, unlike the crust or should I say dough. crust would imply crispness, it was extra chewy and tough. Im sure this pizza would be OK if it was being compared to a $6 frozen pizza but at $26 for a large pizza I felt ripped off. The second star is for the beer list. The food only deserves 1 star.

Pizza was great but the service was terrible. Waitress basically forgot we were in the building and the pizza took 45 minutes to get to us with three other tables. Not too impressed.

I like the hole-in-the-wall feel and my husband and I find ourselves here usually once a month. Their booths are huge. The food off their menu could maybe be a couple bucks cheaper but I'm always happy and eat it all. I usually get the baked spaghetti and a side salad. Their ranch dressing is good! My husband usually gets the pizza and has told me that sometimes they "knock it out of the park" and other times it's just alright. The service is decent. It's also nice that they stay open late because not many places do, especially on the southside. It's always bumping on Friday nights, lots of families come here. For what it is, I really enjoy it.

Very nice people...very average pizza. Visited for our first time last night and enjoyed the people, including a guitar/harmonica duet. Beer was very cold though a little pricey. Had a half buffalo chicken/half chicken islander. The buffalo chicken sauce was over powering. Other half was good.

I love the family owned vibe of this place. The booths are nice and big, great for families. The best part is not the pizza but the video game room which entertains my kids for a good 20 minutes. It's like a babysitter, worth the $3 in quarters. Very rarely do my husband and I get to go out to eat without our kids so this short time is a treat. Now to what you all really care about -- the pizza is not great. I really want to like it because I love to support family owned business but I just can't. The bread sticks are pretty terrible. The service is okay. 3 stars on a good day.
