Wow! What a little gem in Beckley. I would have never even suspected this mom and pop restaurant existed in the heart of a residential area. The food and service here are amazing! I have not had a good blackened catfish poboy like the one I had here in a long, long time, if ever! Highly recommend this place!!

Dobra Zupa's is a small, quaint house turned into restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly waitress and seated in a section with plenty of privacy which was nice. The menu is simple, but it does offer a variety that should have something for everyone. However, my meal was not good. I had a tomato soup that was ok, and the chicken marsala that had very little flavor except for a strange after taste. My stomach then turned as a result and I felt awful for the next few hours. My girlfriend enjoyed her meal without ill effect (she had the salmon plate), but also felt it wasn't anything special. Don't think I will be going back here unfortunately.

Found this great local place on yelp. Had great reviews so we backtracked from our hotel to try it out. Restaurant was in a beautifully restored home in a somewhat residential area. The atmosphere was lovely. It had a full bar area we could see but didn't visit. Extensive beer selection. Decent wine selection. My husband had the Crab Risotto which he loved. My son had a hamburger and it was served in ciabatta roll he rated it a 7 out 10 because of temperature. I had a fried green tomato BLT and it was amazing. All our food arrived hot and delicious. Server was great but a little slow on keeping my glass filled but in his defense I was very thirsty. Overall it was a great dinner.

After a long day of driving, imagine our delight in finding this gem of a restaurant! We started our meal with bread and dip, the dip which was excellent. The fried goat cheese with jalapeño jelly was fabulous. The tomato bisque couldn't have been better. My husband loved every bite of his salmon. I enjoyed my crab risotto, what would have made it better for me is a bit more cream. The menu had something to appeal to nearly everyone. The price was extremely reasonable, about what we would have paid at A chain restaurant! All in all we are extremely happy to have found this place which will surely become a regular stop on our road trips.

Very nice quiet place. Staff was very pleasant and attentive. Though I only had salad which was very good ... Love the white balsamic dressing and wheat beer I can say the food was very good based on my dish and everyone else's compliments at the table. As one person at my table said the fried goat chews and bread with dipping sauce was "wonderful!"

Exactly what we needed and wanted in the middle of a long road trip. Quick and easy access off of 64. The food was excellent. I had the Mediterranean grilled pita. The pita was super soft and everything was super fresh and the homemade tzatziki was perfect. The restaurant is in a beautiful old house and the staff was really nice. Great French press coffee, too.

I was in town for work with a group of people and we all had a wonderful lunch experience. Everyone's food was delicious - from the salads to the fried green tomato BLT and the portobello burger. They were fast and friendly - I highly recommend a stop here for lunch!

Unbelievable find in Beckley. Terrific local/regional craft beer selection, amazing food and incredibly friendly service. I sat at the bar on a quiet Monday night, sampled several local beers selected by the bartender before picking a Blue Mountain Dark Hollow. Took my server's recommendation of the special--chicken breast stuffed with spinach and Gouda, topped with mushrooms--perfectly executed. Great sides, though green beans with bacon on the salty side. Wonderful evening--may go back tonight!

Nice quiet experience on a Monday night of our get-a-way. Wonderful, friendly service. They replaced our sweet-&-sour fried pickles with dill fried pickles which were both delicious (my husband preferred the dill and they were happy to oblige!) Blackened salmon and asparagus were delicious and the sweet basil salad dressing is totally amazing!

Best food in Beckley! Great selection of craft beers and wines and a great atmosphere. They have something for everyone. I'm glad Beckley is finally getting some high quality local owned restaurants and breaking away from all of the mundane chain restaurants!

It can be a little hit and miss. For example, I got the pastrami. Meat was good, but a dab under seasoned and the mustard had WAY too much horseradish in it. When they hit it right, like with the black and bleu steak, they're as good as anybody in WV. Shit tons of good beer, great staff.

Friendly, fast service. Delicious pastrami sandwich, and excellent blackened catfish po'boy. I'm so glad we found this little gem!

Josh the Chef did a great job preparing us a vegan meal tonight. They don't usually have vegan options, but after talking to the waitstaff they were able to toss something together for us that was wonderfully delicious. Josh made a eggplant risotto that the skin on the egg plant was deliciously crispy the rice just perfectly seasoned and the entire meal came together.

We were seated right away at the time of our reservation which I appreciate. Our server was Lacy and she was perfectly efficient. Last time we had the Cuban pork, black and blue filet, and the feta and pear salad. This time I had the Thai chicken pizza and I loved it. My wife stuck with the black and blue which was better this time than lady, and there was nothing wrong with the last one. We tried the cranberry and walnut salad and it was very good. We finished by sharing a bread pudding with our cohorts. The bread pudding wasn't my fave, that's just me being honest. The others seemed to love it though- so maybe it was my problem. The Thai pizza is pretty craveable and will be my go to. Anyway, I'm pretty happy this place is in Beckley. Cheers!

My wife and I ate lunch there about a month ago. I confess I can't remember what we ordered but we were impressed with the food and the service. It's not far off I-77/I-64. We usually stop at Tamarack but were up for something different. We'll stop here again.

If you're looking for a meal in Beckley, stop here. A REAL gem "ma and pap" hometown restaurant that features fantastic appetizers, excellent burgers, soup to die for and a beer list a mile long (with real hip brews!). Chris was our server and he was very good. Go here for din!!!!

Oh wow, what a great little place. We were looking for simple fare for lunch and were able to get just that. French press coffee, fresh salad, homemade soup, panini sandwiches on sourdough bread and the taste combinations were wonderful. This has just become our place to stop while on the road.

Visiting from Florida, and what a find! I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in Beckley. First off, my party ordered a bottle of pinot noir. Their wine selection isn't huge but well priced and though I wasn't familiar with the brand we chose, it was very tasty and makes me hopeful that they only pick the good ones. We ordered the crab fondue appetizer which was yummy with big chunks of crab. They make all of their breads in-house and the toast points that came with the fondue and the table bread (which came with a flavorful rosemary dipping oil) were both good. I wanted to try the prime rib, but it's only served on Fridays and Saturdays and alas, I dined on a Thursday. I wasn't too disappointed though because I had the cuban pork entree instead which was super, both sweet and spicy. My dining companions ordered the grilled pasta with chicken and the black and bleu filet. I tried a couple bites of both and they were great; the pasta was nicely garlicky, the port wine reduction on the filet was a bit sweet (to be expected). They also make all of their salad dressings in-house which we all agreed were very good. Finally, we split two desserts, the bread pudding and the cheesecake. Both were excellent. The cheesecake was key lime (they apparently change it up from time to time) and you could see they also made the whipped cream themselves due to the visible vanilla bean in it. The atmosphere is lovely, too. The former home in which the restaurant is located in is great and they appeared to have cute bar and pub areas off the dining room as well. We didn't try any of their beers, but from the glimpse I caught of the bar area, their selection of beers on tap looks pretty impressive. All in all, everything was exceptional and like I said, I hope to come back.

Atmosphere is nice, service was great, food was good but there was no "wow" factor. The corn chowder could have used some additional seasoning as could the cheese sauce on my cheesesteak sandwich. In general a nice solid restaurant.
