Ewww. I don't think this place deserves a single star. I just tried them -NO,NO,NO. It's not worth it. You're better off going to Dominos or Pizza shuttle. I really don't know what else to say. DON'T GO.

You ever just get a big dumb taste for pizza, even though there's healthy food in your fridge? Yeah, me too. It happened to me at 3:00am today, so I got up & ventured out into the night on a pizza quest. The first place I went that was "open" until 4am wasn't open at all. They would only deliver, & of course they don't deliver to 'certain' areas. Nor could I go inside to make a quick order, even though I was right outside. I got flustered & decided nothing was worth this kind of hassle, so I left. (I'll never understand why so many establishments here in MKE treat their customers like criminals...smh) I knew Topper's was open, so I decided to just go there. I was greeted with a friendly hello upon entering. Nice. I noticed they were extremely busy as I made my order, so I figured it would take a little longer than usual to get my pizza and I was right. Apparently there had been a group at the table in the dining area, & nobody bothered to clean up after themselves when they left. (No 'home training' having-ass kids! *shakes cane*) None of the Topper's employees had cleaned it up either. The young lady who took my order was very polite though, and my pizza was still very hot when I got it home. The Topperstix with cheese & bacon were yummy, and even though the marinara was most likely from a can, it tasted ok. A little metallic, but hey....it's 4am. You want fresh marinara at that time, get yourself a Sicilian grandma. The hand tossed pizza crust had a great chewyness to it & the toppings were everything you want in a late night pizza. No real complaints at all, except maybe the wait- which is understandable given the location. I'll be eating here again for sure.

No no no no! The service was good. That's it. The food itself was absolutely flavorless and beyond overpriced. Terrible space, very uncomfortable. Cash register area very dirty. The man at the cash register was friendly and brought the items out, assisted with napkins, etc. This place would never last if it weren't for all the college students. Go around the next block on North Ave and spend your money at Ian's instead.

I read other reviews about poor service. I didnt see the poor service what so ever. I ordered a couple of pies online and when i got there they were hot and ready. I used a promo code for a 3 topping large and get a second one for free. The pizza itself was decent at best. If im on the east side in such a close proximity to Pizza Shuttle i will always... I mean always choose pizza shuttle. The prices here arent highway robbery but other places in town offer better deals. So the service was actually pretty good, the pizza was right on time and it tasted decent. I give that a solid 2.5 stars. A piece of useful information is that the dining area at this location is very small. There are only sprite coke to drink and no soda fountain.

So many horrible experiences but my favorite is when they forgot to put the sauce under the cheese so they put a decorative spiral on top, it was also barely cooked.

This place gets mad props for being so good with customer service. They respect the customers. when they make mistakes they definitely try to fix them. They have great fresh pizza. Repeat customer.

I will no longer order from this location. Last Saturday, a few friends and myself went out downtown Milwaukee. Before bar close we decided to order from Toppers. They said it would be about 45 minutes to an hour for obvious reasons...everyone's been drinking and now they're hungry! So we expected to wait for a bit because they were super busy. After waiting for an hour I decided that we needed more than just Toppers Stix so I called to order some more food & check on our current order. They said that it was on the road and should be there soon. I ordered a pizza as well but decided to go and pick it up instead of waiting the, now, 2 hour delivery wait time. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes & they did give me a call to confirm that my order was carry-out and that it was ready. So I get there and see a bit of a line, which I expected. Well after waiting in line for about 35 minutes (because there was one person taking orders & either the Toppers employee was SUPER slow or the people ordering were so drunk they took forever ordering) I finally get my pizza and was headed back to my friends house. I got there with the pizza & STILL NO Toppers Stix!!!! We decide to eat the pizza and give the delivery a little more time. By this time it has been close to 2 & a half hours. I call to check on it and they say, "it's on the road"....AGAIN!! So it has been on the road for more than an hour?!? The next morning we see a call from Toppers at 4AM!! Over 3 hours for a delivery that is coming from 5 minutes away! Overall, I am very unsatisfied with the efficiency of this location! As much as I love Toppers food, I may have to order from another pizza place the next time I'm in the area (which is often)!!

I used to work at this location and while we started strong, turnover took over and the standards started to drop. There was an issue of training sometimes, and communication was an issue, and thus customers suffered. I learned a very valuable lesson from other fields and the motto is "under-promise, over deliver." The vibe I see since I left is over promise, under deliver... as such the reviews are what they are.

If you like your dough "rare", you'll love Toppers! Kings of the $25 pizza broil!

I wish their were some more spots on the east side/Brady St area that I could enjoy for some za. Had this a couple times, different pizzas each time, and the results were the same... meh. Zaffiro's is okay, but would love a spot up here like Mamma Di Marini's.

I wouldn't eat their weird specialty pizzas again, but after ordering a normal pizza from them with hand-tossed crust, I was pleasantly surprised. It was mushroom, sausage, and artichoke and the crust and the ingredients were done nicely. As said... avoid thin crust and avoid specialty pizzas.

Ordered a pizza. An hour and a half later no pizza and when I called to check on it I'm told it was delivered and the person who accepted it verified the phone number. I never received it. I don't believe if it was delivered the number was verified. They offered to send me a free pizza but the wait time was another hour. I didn't want to wait 2 hours for food. On top of that, they charged my card. Not reliable. Epic fail.

I should've Yelped before ordering from this location. We've enjoyed eating Toppers food at different events and through take-out but never delivery until now. We ordered and were quoted a 40-minute wait time. The driver showed up at our building but never contacted us, so he left. After calling the store multiple times and being told that the pizza was on its way and that they had no way to reach their driver until he returned to the store, we got confirmation from our building worker that the driver left, claiming he didn't have a phone number for us (note: it's printed on the box label). After calling the store again, they said they'd get it back to us within 45 minutes. So, after a two hour wait, we got our tasty Breadstix and greasy pizza -- no apology, no compensation, nothing. Oh, and the driver didn't call - again. The kind building employee just offered to do it for him. Sigh. Should've just ordered Pizza Shuttle.

I wrote this review in real-time: I'm sorry but let me just say that we are literally the only people in here (and yes, I realize that their delivery biz is busy) but 20 mins for cheesy bread! Assholes...

During my trip to Milwaukee, the hotel I was staying at had a number of menus for late night pizza places that deliver at the front desk so I pocketed them. My boyfriend and I were at the hotel bar after a night out on the town and were deciding between shuttles and toppers. I said that we should go for toppers because I really wanted to try their Tacostix and one of their house pizzas. We ordered tacostix with sour cream, a medium potato pizza, and a medium meat toppers pizza. The total was $29 which wasn't horrible. The guy on the phone took longer than necessary to take my order but took my credit card number and said it were be at the hotel in 30-40 minutes. Exactly an hour later the delivery guy shows up, no credit card receipt. We had zero cash and I had planned to tip him on the card. I apologized a few times and he was really cool about it. He said it was his fault he didn't have the slip. I brought the pizza in and and got ready to feast when I realized the the tacostix were actually just plain cheesestix. I was beyond pissed! I debated calling them back and getting feisty but decided against it because it was almost 3 am. My potato pizza which claimed would be covered with twice baked potato just had 4 or 5 pieces of cubed potato on each piece. My boyfriend said his meat pizza was just okay. I went to bed irritated that night!
