After reading the reviews I was skeptical and decided to take a chance. This place is super simple and probably been here for a while. With that being said inside was clean and bathrooms were clean. Ordered a burger with bacon and daughter got a hot dog. Burger was good, quality of meat seemed good and bacon was crispy. Hot dog was a hot dog. Fries were a little soggy but seasoned with a nice flavor. Nothing overwhelms you about this place and at times you're concerned for you health hoping they take cooking their food with pride and use standard safety protocol. For the area this is probably as good as is gets so pop in if you've been driving for a bit and want some good ol' American burgers and hot dogs.

Stopped here as I was passing through. I was starved and didn't know when another place would be near. I have to say it wasn't a bad find . I tried the bacon cheese burger with fresh cut fries... Pretty tasty . I would stop again for a quick lunch. Everything was very fresh!

We waited for someone to come to the front to take our order for 6 min. The people in line ahead of us waiting to order left because they didn't want to wait any longer. We Ordered 1 large fry and an Oreo shake. I received my shake 2 min later. People who had already ordered and we're waiting for their food were frustrated that I received my order before them. It took 15 min for my large fry.... Other members in my car ordered the specialty burger and said that they had had better burgers at truck stops. No flavor. When my fry finally came out the people who had ordered before me still hadn't receiver their food. I really liked my shake, and liked the frys as well and would have ordered more if it didn't take so long. Seems like a Bummer that they couldn't work faster.

Great place to stop after a long drive! They're good old fashioned food. Wait times aren't too bad and prices aren't too astronomical. Make sure you grab a delicious shake on the way out the door. So much better than stopping at a chain restaurant

Larry's Drive-In is a Mom and Pop burger shop in Fillmore, Utah. It's got a small town feel and a pretty simple menu consisting of burgers and other sandwiches, fries, onion rings, and a variety of ice cream shakes. Unfortunately they messed up my order and put pickles and mustard on my burger, and not the lettuce and grilled onions, which is what I had requested... The burger turned out to be nothing special. The fries were good, but it's pretty hard to screw-up french fries. The Oreo shake was the best part of the meal and was drinkable through a straw, which was a nice bonus. Lunch for two -- two burgers, fries, and a shake was only $14, which is cheap. But you got what you paid for, and that wasn't very much... Sure Larry's is pretty good for Fillmore, when you consider that the alternative is your typical fast food restaurants. But I don't think I'd eat here again.

We stopped in for a quick bite with our 2 young kids. The food came quickly, and everything tasted good. I had the homemade soup, and it was a delightful surprise, since it was indeed homemade. It was honestly some of the best soup I've had (cream of mushroom).

Would not come here again. Just passing through on the way home and needed some food. We waited for half an hour for two cheeseburgers. The service was crap and the food was worse. Our burgers were crunchy and dry and they didn't even put on what we asked and paid for. We paid way too much to begin with. We expected better for the price. Maybe it was just a bad day for Larry's, but I don't recommend it.

How do you mess up burgers and fries? Well, if you're Larry's Drive-In, you charge way too much and you make the customer wait forever for his food. When you finally do send out the order, you send it out cold. Then you tell the customer (after his other food is ready) that you're out of fries and it will be another 5-6 min before they are "delivered." The kids will love hearing that. 15 minutes later, you give the customer an undersized "large" order of fries that are literally dripping in grease because they were cooked in oil that wasn't hot enough. I've never been more disappointed with a fast food place.

Overpriced for what it is. If it tasted better it would be okay, but for a crappy little cheese burger on a stale bun served with some really greasy log fries the price is wrong. I say go to Burger King where you know what you're going to get and it's going to be better than here, cost less and have better service.

We stopped here on our way home from St. George on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered a cheeseburger. We were the only customers in the restaurant, so I expected really fresh food... my burger was cold. I think they keep the buns in the fridge to make them last longer... And it really cooled my burger... The burger tasted gross (bland, stale, overcooked...) and I could only eat a few bites. My husband ordered a pastrami burger that was also very unimpressive. Side note... The restrooms were gross and I felt awful changing my baby's diaper on their changing table because it was super dirty. Luckily I had a changing pad. I also cleaned the table down with a wipe.

We were excited to try a local place but were disappointed greatly while eating here. The restaurant was dirty, the food was overpriced, and the burgers were not very good. I like a good over the top shake and their shakes were quite milky and drinkable through a straw. My husband asked for a plain Larry's burger with only mayo and ketchup- it was made with mustard and lettuce on it. He took it back to the counter and was told it would be fixed. They simply wiped off the unwanted toppings leaving remnants behind. This place has potential- especially being the only local place open on Sundays- but I was happier with the $1 ice cream cone I got at Burger King after leaving Larry's than I was with my whole meal.

When you're driving long distances you're often looking for something quick and cheap to get you going for the next stretch of driving. We decided on Larry's because it looked like it would be faster than the Chinese next door, and more local/better than the Burger King on the other side. We were wrong on both fronts... except maybe the local part. It took over half an hour from the time we ordered our food to actually receiving it. That is simply not acceptable for a fast-food/not sit-down restaurant. Heck, even in a sit-down restaurant that's excessive. They should have warned us when we ordered that they were understaffed or something. Also, no apology or anything when they gave us our food. On top of that the food itself ranged from not great - gross. The burger was okay, but nothing special, and the fries were downright nasty - we didn't eat them. The tables were dirty, as were the bathrooms. We ended up $20 less in our wallet, and wishing we'd gone somewhere else. We would have gotten cheaper, better, quicker food from Burger King. I hate giving such a bad review here, as I love to support local when possible, but this was not good.

Classic Drive-In style food... greasy fried food, and warm smiles from the staff.

Fries were good, but that's about it. Burger patty was meager and tasteless, bun was very stale, and cashier didn't seem to know much about the menu. I wanted this to be as good as Cluff's Car Hop (right up the street), and it just wasn't. Don't waste your time; your belly will be sorry.

Eh... it was one of the only places open when we were trying to get back to Salt Lake City. It's nice burger joint but it's nothing amazing. They have milkshakes and coffee options. They appeared to have a full blown coffee/espresso maker that could produce high pressure steam. I don't know though because I didn't order coffee but maybe a nice place to get a real coffee in the morning. At least give it shot. Better than Burger KIng

So, we ate at Larry's again on our way through Fillmore. If this drive-in was located in Salt Lake City, or maybe even Provo, it would get 3 stars. But given the fact that it's one of only two or three choices near the freeway in Fillmore, it towers over the competition and YAY! I'm a fan. The quality of ingredients, along with the cleanliness of the dining room seem to have improved dramatically since our last visit. Keep up the good work Larry!

Might have had good reviews but I can only comment on delay I have experienced. 30 mins from order to getting the food at a fast food place + tables all dirty for 10 mins so we couldn't even sit and wait is a very poor customer experience. Might be busy weekend pending but be prepared as a fast good diner with a wait time for traveling people is lost time and very frustrating indeed

In the middle of nowhere, this family-owned fast food restaurant cranks out stuff that beats the Burger King and Chinese buffet nearby. It had a good customer base when I stopped by, but half of the people sitting in the booths were waiting for their order. Larry works with [I'm assuming] his kids, and need more staffing to accommodate. That aside, my grilled chicken salad with walnuts and raspberry vinaigrette was delicious.

Love the spicy chicken wrap. Great place to stop on the road.

I've eaten here twice and wasn't disappointed either time. Everything was cooked fresh and I got an avocado burger one of the times that was the best I've ever had. They make sure you get plenty to eat. If you need a 20 minute break from the road, stop here.

Pretty decent burger joint for being out in the sticks. My wife likes Reuben sandwiches, and they had a good one that she enjoyed.

Decent pastrami burger and milkshake. Good option for a non-chain meal when you're on the road in the middle of nowhere.

Terrible!! Slow, bad burger, soggy fries, and messed up our order. And the cashier didn't apologize for the wrong order...seemed to have an attitude.

Boo to Larry's drive in. If your passing through Fillmore, Utah and need to grab some quick food, keep driving. I'm pretty sure Burger King next door would of been a better choice than this place. Sorry Larry nice try.

tried this during our road trip. I had the chicken sandwich and the corndog, needless to say they were both amazing

Larry's is awesome. They have real burgers and real fries. You eat here and you are reminded, "oh yeah, this is what real food, real hamburgers, taste like". I got the Hunstman Burger (1/4lber with cheese) and it comes with all the trimmings: lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, ketchup, mayo, etc (which I'm sure you could ask to be left off). I always try to stop here when I'm driving up or down I-15. It's a great pit stop with great burgers. Next time you're passing through, set aside a little extra time and money for better food and a better experience than regular fast food, generic burgers.

Better than fast food for sure. We had the bacon burger and fries. Pretty tasty and clean bathrooms

Great food! Not fast food, if you're in a hurry look next door. Be patient and get a great burger!

  • Aaron T.

Burger King - next door - sells two burgers for $5, and a decent burger at Larry's is $5. I don't see how they're expecting to compete with that. The food is better at Larry's, but not twice as good, to account for the high prices. Larry's shakes used to have real fruit, now it's just syrup. Just seems like Larry's is slipping, in general. Larry's definitely is changing. It's still great food, but not what it used to be. Instead of sticking with the classic offerings, they're branching out. The food is great, but a little over priced.
