EXCELLENT catfish! (And I'm kind of picky.). I'd kill for the breading recipe. We'll definitely go back!

A Must Stop for fresh local family casual dining in the heart of the mountains. Everything on menu is great but MUST recommend the catfish since I was never a fan of catfish but I will return for more if I'm ever back in the area. Family recipes cooked fresh daily & although their dessert of the day was sold out, wasn't let down with their pecan pan. Can't go wrong

Went here for lunch on 8/29 and they were closed for the entire weekend. So disappointed, was looking forward to trying this place based on other reviews

Catfish basket was outstanding. Never had breaking so light and fluffy! Service was warm friendly and excellent. If you are in pigeon forge or Gatlinburg you need to look this place up.

Had a shrimp poboy that was delicious! Shrimp were large and plentiful. Only negative with this place is that they are only open Wednesday through Saturday! Wish I had more time in the area to come back and try everything else. Someone had ordered crawfish while I was waiting and they looked awesome! This is a hidden gem that I wish I had near my house. Anyone that appreciates N'Awlins cooking needs to give this place a try.

This is a must eat!! Our favorite place in all of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! The crawfish is so good and they even instructed us on how to eat it. We have been here multiple times on our visits. Be sure to plan it in because the hours are a little hit or miss. Totally worth planning for!!

Ordered the catfish and crab cakes. Crab cakes made with little filling and mostly crab. Not the best I've ever had but also nowhere close to the worst. Catfish was delicious. Crispy, flaky and still juicy on the inside. Paired with cocktail sauce...yummy!!! Definitely would recommend if you are in the area. Pattie was a doll!!!

Fantastic!! The mufflatta was amazing. 1/2 was huge! Had bites of everyone else's food too. It all was delicious. The service was the best I've ever had--definitely work checking out!

Total hole-in-the-wall. Friendliest service you could imagine and just awesome food. Not the fastest folks working the kitchen, but it's worth the wait. My wife and I got shrimp and catfish po' boys and both were excellent. When I asked if the white chocolate bread pudding was any good, the lady at the counter responded, "It's good enough to slap yer grandma!" I'd have to agree!!

Wow wow wow! What a hidden gem in the smokies! A planned visit for us after stumbling across the restaurant on Google, and glad we did. Great, friendly service, hole in the wall feel, but big flavored food. The shrimp po' boy is mouth watering fantastic and the hamburger steak and potatoes my wife got was surprisingly delicious. This is a place that will be inked on our "to-do" list for future trips to the Smokies.

Never been a fan of catfish, but I sure helped my wife finish her leftovers!! I had the muffuletta. Incredible! Its a HUGE sandwich, if you order the whole one, you will have leftovers! Tried the gumbo on the next trip and it was just as tasty. Great folks running the place and the food is amazing.

Yummy. We were in town for the Smoky Mountains Half Marathon and this was a delicious yelp recommendation near where we were staying. The place isn't fancy but the food is delicious. I tried the chicken and sausage gumbo, red beans and rice, corn and shrimp chowder, hush puppies, coleslaw, ribs and baked beans. Everything was awesome and we will definitely be back some day to try the catfish and po' boys. Service was very friendly too!

Great service, great food. The catfish was definitely amazing (crispy and yummy batter and flaky fish) and the gumbo was delish. It was satisfying after a big hike through the Smokies. Reasonably priced as well. Definitely recommend; it's a hole-in-the-wall gem!

The catfish Orleans was to die for! For a second I thought I was back in good ole New Orleans. My wife really enjoyed the crab cakes. The shrimp corn chowder was so tasty. I really appreciated the seasonings/flavors of everything. Stay clear of the chocolate cake. Frosting was great but cake was a bit dry. The folks there are super friendly. Highly recommended.

Unbeatable. Stopped by because catfish sounded good. Cajun owners who were very friendly, it was magnificent. The catfish though "fried" comes off fluffy and not greasy.. excellent batter. Talked with the staff about Katrina for a bit. Friend bought the sampler with gator bites etc.. Absolutely raved about it.

Great little out of the way place. Catfish was out of the world and Gumbo was good. Super nice folks.

Absolutely cannot wait to go back as soon as humanly possible. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. Dear Hubby had a huge, huge, gargantuan, let me emphasize: HUGE half muffaletta. (Pronounced "muffa-lotta." And there's a lotta sandwich going on there.) I don't know if he had ever had a muffaletta before, but I did when I was a kid and my New-Orleans-bred mother went back to NOLA to visit her sister and other relatives. That's the real thing at PawPaw's. Not even kidding. The olive salad on the sandwich is *perfect*. The muffaletta is so big, it doesn't come with sides, so Dear Hubby ordered a side of cole slaw. I stole it from him. I got the divine catfish basket. I think -- I think it was the best fried catfish I have ever had. The batter is so, so, so light and airy, it's hard to believe it was fried. It's crispy instead of crunchy. I know I'm barely being coherent. It's very special catfish, I mean, and you should go try it. Especially with the handmade remoulade sauce. OMG. So good. So good, so good. You have a choice of side salads with the catfish basket, and I picked potato salad. It was wonderful and delicious, but it was also spicy hot. The heat was very subtle but it kept building up with each bite. I wanted to finish it, but I just do not *do* well with spicy hot, so I stole Dear Hubby's divine cole slaw, and he devoured the potato salad. We asked what made the potato salad so hot, and the owner said it was a Cajun secret. Then she told us the secret, and we slapped our forehead and shouted, "Of course!" When you know what it is, you can't understand how you ever didn't know. A word about the crinkle-cut fries: PERFECT. Yes, french fries are fairly ordinary, but it's so nice to find them so perfectly perfect, crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. No room for dessert. I *said* we have to go back as soon as humanly possible, didn't I? We really do need to go back!

We stayed in pigeon forge luckily passed by this little gem on hwy 321 ....only a few minutes from pigeon forge. As someone who grew up in the biz and very much familiar with what it takes to make good home cooked meals for the masses I can say I would give this place 10 out of 10 stars. Great service, great prices, boudan balls that will make u slap ur mama, the best fried catfish u will find within 400 miles ...don't expect flashy lights and glitter ...expect great food at great prices. My wife and I were blown away and will be back every time we are anywhere near Gatlinburg or pigeon forge. Only problem I had is the owner told me she can't open another one in my hometown of asheville ;( PS the white chocolate bread pudding is a must have!!
