Macados' is a a cross over between a sports bar and a restaurant, a regional chain restaurant this one is located in Historic downtown Bristol on the Tennessee Side of State Street across from Wells Fargo. The food is pretty good here, they have several specials that go week days between 1pm and 7pm, they vary by day. Macados also introduced a new lunch special for 6.95 which you can choose from about 8 dishes for a discounted rate, this runs from 11am-3pm Monday - Friday. I would recommend that Chef Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette, I would also hold the croutons because it appears that they make them and they are quite honestly terrible. Macados is open late as well, mozzarella sticks are good. If you can't find parking try parking across the street or behind the building by using the lot on 8th street.

The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars instead of 1 is for their food & atmosphere. Yes, their menu is large & overwhelming but I'd imagine everything on their menu tastes great. At least from my experience, everything I ordered was really good. This recent time we went, we ordered a Big Daddy sandwich and chips & things - both really awesome. Pretzels in the chip & things were whatever, but their potato chips made up for it! Atmosphere is rather nice here. The restaurant is huge w/ lots of space & booths. They even have outside patio. And their decor is really nice. However, this seems to be the consensus in all the negative reviews: SERVICE SUCKS! Service is slow as shit, no matter what server you have. You're lucky if your server isn't a major dick/bitch on top of that. I wonder why this is? Maybe it's because in a small town everyone is too comfortable & don't give a shit about anything. I heard from a local that this place might close down soon... Which is a shame because they do serve good food! But if they don't improve their service, I would not be surprised if they're closed by the next time I visit Bristol.

Last Friday evening I roll in alone for a beer before hitting the King men's volleyball game. The bartender very attentive. Coors light on tab so I order the super schooner but she agrees to split it in 2 pints. For a lady like myself 1 pint at a time is easier to handle. Plus you get 2 cold beers for the price of 1 large warm 1. I learned that last week when I was there with my husband so both bartenders get a star for offering the option of 2 pints. This time I tried the fried pickles. Pretty darn good. Thick spears and really hot and crunchy. This is the kind I like. Almost like greek fried zucchini. So I raise the 3 stars to 4 just because of the awesome fried pickles.

I got the wings! Terrible. They taste like 7-11 wings. Or something from a gas station. They tasted and liked liked they were previously frozen. I should've went to 620 state like I planned but it was raining and it was parking right in front of this place. Wait staff was very nice, service was quick.

Service here is awful. I've had cold boneless wings on more than one occasion. By cold, I mean almost frozen. It doesn't matter what time of day or what we order the food takes forever and the service and food are always lacking.

Monday 8pm got grilled chicken Tacos as were good with fast service. Got healthy menu and gut Bomb sandwiches. Fast friendly service but sat at the bar. Families here and couples. Not a rowdy place!!

Hard to exactly place the review of this place. Love the food and drinks, but find he service lacking 4 times out of 5. That said, I still go regularly because of their great food and specials. My go to is the boneless wing specials on Thursdays.

Not bad- local sports bar/restaurant. No where in town has the baseball package, and neither does this one. However, service was good and the atmosphere was fun. There is a jukebox which added a fun factor. Food was good, however it is hard to mess up a cheese quesadilla. But it really did have a good ratio of ingredients and wasn't greasy. My husband had the chicken tacos, he said they were good- but the grilled chicken looked like frozen chicken strips that were defrosted. But like I said he did say they wee good.. Three stars because these were pretty basic meals and were good- all in all we would go back for lunch but probably not for dinner.

I've been to Bristol a dozen times and usually spend one of evenings at Macados. Free WiFi, awesome sandwich selection. Dos Equis on draft and often on a special. What more could an out of tower want?

Amazing sandwich selection! My husband had the Wild Bill burger and loved it, and I ordered a side of mac n cheese and fruit salad since I wasn't very hungry. Our food came pretty fast, we had a great waitress, and our dinner (including a pitcher of beer for 2 people) only came to about $20, though we considered it to be worth much more. If we are back to the area, we'll be back to Macado's! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for my visit was because they do not include fries with the burgers so we had to order that separately. They were yummy though!

Ordered a hamburger, potato skins and quesadillas. French fries that came with the with the burger were cold, quesadillas were average at best. I think our 8 yr old grandson could prepare tastier skins....all in all, hubby and I were disappointed and next time we are in the area on business we won't be eating here again. On the plus side, our server was friendly and apologized for the cold fries and oh yea,,,sweetened tea was weak!

Just ok. I've had better. They have many many items on their menu but personally I would rather have few items that are great than lots of choices that are just ok

Ordered onion soup without the bread. It came with bread and was very salty. Wings were fair.

We love this place and so do the kids. Its fun trying something different every time but you can't go wrong with a burger, its awesome. The potato salad is boss! We love the atmosphere here, very casual like us. We've always had good service here, some of the wait staff are better than others. I think its just experience level. We come here a lot. Food is better here than Kingsport location.

Slow apathetic service. Great selection with mediocre food. Restaurant A/C must have been broken because it was literally 90 degrees in bar area. Bartender was sweating and looked like he was about to pass out. Avoid.

Currently in the restaurant, waiting about 30 mins for food so far. This food better be amazing because I am not impressed with the lack of service right now.

I feel somewhat limited because I've only been there one time and all I got was wings and beer, but I'm confident giving it a 5 based on those alone. My wife and I came in on a Sunday afternoon on our way home from DC. I love Bristol because I have a thing for state lines, and Macado's is right there on State St, so I can eat in TN and look at VA. I know everyone in Bristol probably couldn't care less about that anymore, but I still think it's cool, so shut up. We happened to walk in on boneless wing special day. 25 cents each for some incredible boneless wings! They had several flavors to choose from, and all of them were just awesome. On top of that, the beer was only $1.50! We ate 3 dozen wings, had a beer, and only paid $12! I will absolutely be going back here when I'm passing through Bristol, although I may have to alternate it with the Burger Bar.

I like the atmosphere, but the food is mediocre at best. There's nothing I've tried (in several visits over the past couple of years) that's made me think "wow, I've gotta get another one of these!" But for sharing a pitcher with friends, it's a good place. However, that's the problem with a lot of corporate franchises. It's a formula not a recipe. Also, most Bristolians won't forget their first year of Rhythm and Roots when they backed out after Friday night and left the R&R folks scrambling to find another venue for ALL the bands that were supposed to play at Macado's the rest of the weekend. That was really scummy.

I eat out a lot and this was the worst dining experience I've had in a looong time. It may cater to and be fine for the "race crowd" but not an upscale experience. My order was simple enough...a burger with chili and onion, AND an order of onion rings. It was not on the menu but offering each separately didn't feel like that was a huge departure from normal. I specified NO CHEESE. The first go round it came out with cheese, and onion rings ON the burger. That was weird. So I explained to the server again...NO cheese and "regular" chopped onions. Second time...bacon, BBQ sauce, onion rings ON the burger. Huh?! Really weird. Finally the manager came out with the server and the burger. It had chili, a side dish of raw PURPLE onions, AND the onion rings ON the burger. I ate it, but really?! That's just messed up to not have it perfect by the third time! And every dish we ordered was inferior quality ingredients. To say the least, we won't be back.

Macado's has a nice location with it being right on the border but in my opinion it is your run of the mill sports bar. We were in a really big party and the waitresses were very patient and impressive in their abilities to keep track of everyone but the food was just eh. The nachos were decent, I thought it was kind of cool that they served french onion dip instead of sour cream. I ordered one of the grilled cheese sandwiches and it was pretty dried out and didn't have much flavor. The menu has a huge selection of sandwiches though so even your pickiest eater should be able to find something.
