I like this place. I like the food. I like the service. The staff: The husband is in the back making the food, while the lady behind the counter calls all the guys who come through the door "sweetheart." It's the same way the waitresses call you "darlin'" when you're at a truck stop. And, I"ll admit it--I like it. She called one of the waitresses "baby" when she left. That informality and friendliness really makes the atmosphere comfortable and fun, and it's a big reason why I like mom-and-pop restaurants like this one over the big impersonal national chains. The food: I tried the Greek salad with chicken, and it was perfect. I had a slice of pizza with 4 toppings on it. The vegetable toppings were piled high on that slice; they were very generous. It wasn't too oily: good. However, the crust was average--not thin, not thick, and it was dry. It really needed some [or more] tomato sauce. For a pizzeria, this should be their flagship dish, but it was just average, so it was a slight disappointment. Maybe the slices are not treated with as much care as a whole pizza? I think Tony's New York Style Pizzeria on Orchard Park Rd. (Haywood Rd.) has this place beat. Next time I want to try the lasagna and calzone. The desserts: they were thoroughly enjoyable--traditional cannoli with a cinnamon-flavored shell and cream cheese or ricotta filling with tiny chocolate chips. There was another one which was like a hybrid between a French butter croissant outside and a gooey bread pudding inside, with the most delicate hint of lemon. Can't recall the name. They were both divine. The atmosphere: It's dark in the two dining rooms--too dark. There is dark wood paneling on the walls. Booths to sit in. It looks like some old Elk's Club or neighborhood bar your grandpa might have gone to back in the 50s. There is a smell in the air that is a mixture of old building smell and delicious food that is oddly pleasant and comforting. Lots of children's artwork and thank you letters on the wall to Mary and Tito. The Men's room: it has been updated with ceramic tiles on the floor and walls, a pedestal sink: good. On the day I was there the toilet needed scrubbing badly: bad. I'll spare you the details. Since we can't see what's going on in the kitchen, the bathroom gives us some baseline on their attention to cleanliness. Interestingly, though, this restaurant has a window into the kitchen in the wood paneling, so you actually can see the food being made, which is a plus, I guess. Price: the prices are reasonable for the dishes. Synopsis: this is a good family-run, affordable, come-as-you-are New York style pizzeria, and Greenville is lucky to have it. It's family friendly; heck, it's just plain friendly.

Friendly place. I had read good reviews and wanted to give it a try. I am always on the lookout for the best calzone. The calzone was okay. The rest of the family had pizza, which they deemed okay. I would go back, but I won't be rushing back. Nothing about the food was extraordinary. I would still have to say that Sciortino's has the best calzone in the Greenville area. My favorite pizza is Pebble Creek or Bertolo's. But still, I would give it another try, just to see if we caught them on an off night. To be revisited...

Looooooooooooooove Tito's! Really, I take all visitors and friends new to the area here. I have a few standards: the philly, white pizza, greek salad with chicken (their balsamic dressing is awesome), caprese & cannolis :) If I want either of these I can't even imagine going elsewhere Plus, I love a family run local business.

I have been going to Tito's since I was a little girl. Now I am married and my husband and I go there once a week. Pizza Fanatics here! Our favorite is The Tito's Special and an antipasto salad. Titos is nothing fancy but it's a nice spot where you can feel comfortable and gorge out on delicious pizza!!

I wouldn't say Greenville is known for great pizza but if I were asked to chose the best I would say Tito's. If you like a traditional New York style pizza Tito's and Vic's downtown are about as close as you are going to get here in the upstate.

Great pizza if you get the thick crust stuff. Very friendly and good prices. The beer selection was low but I did like the mini-pictures, although they were not priced so well. I would go back. I have also gotten take out but I didn't like the thin crust so much.

Awesome. The best calzones. Ever. The only complaint is they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, and seems like I always get a craving on one of those days! But hey, it's a family run business and I guess they deserve some time off..

The first time I went, I got an italian sub, which tasted fine, but nothing spectacular. The second time, I split a pep/sausage thin crust, and it was a little too greasy for my taste. The crust tasted funny, too. Otherwise, it's a quaint, family-run business that had christmas lights in July (I appreciated them :) ). I would probably return and try the deep dish pizza, instead.

I think this is some of the best pizza i have ever eaten outside of South Carolina. The other food is good but the pizza is the just the best. Calzones and such are also well worth the effort and money.

I know Tito and the whole crew and I've been going to them for pizza since I was about 12. Pizza is phenomial! The strombolis are the best I have ever had. Don't skip a cannoli for dessert. Chocolate chip cannoli at that. They are the nicest people ever and their food reflects their true italian heritage! Such a great place to eat!

Ok, I'm over the "lack of beer" mentality - THAT shouldn't take away a whole star. Tito's Pizzeria deserves a 5 star rating.

Great New York Style pizza, friendly staff and one of the best meatball subs in Upstate SC! Worth the trip & budget friendly. The restaurant itself could use a little updating but, the food quality and friendliness far out outweighs the lack of flare. GREAT LUNCH SPOT!!!

Oh, how I love Tito's pizza! Let me count the ways. 1) Crust: It is a true misfortune that too many New York-style pizzas end up with a soggy crust in the middle. I get specialty pizzas here and do not generally have that problem. Their crust holds up well and is flavorful. 2) The sauce: Seriously, Tito's pizza sauce in DA BOMB! It isn't a sweet sauce chock-full of tomato paste, but rather like a delicious marinara with real tomato, garlic, and Italian flavors. Their garlic bread normally comes with the same sauce and every drop of it gets eaten (at most places, I skip the sauce entirely). It is one of the very few places where I could order extra sauce and be giddy. 3) The toppings: Tito's has a good variety of toppings and always uses plenty of the toppings on their pizzas. I cannot attest to any of their dishes besides pizza and garlic bread, but I can say those things are good. I will by the first to say that their pizza is a bit on the pricey side, but you do get good quality for the price. Also, they do not have delivery, but our carry-outs have always been ready on-time. I cannot attest to their customer service or their cleanliness, as my partner always picks it up, but he has never complained.

Stopped into Tito's with my sister and niece on a Friday night. Truth be told, absolute chaos at the door. But surprisingly enough it was controlled chaos. We could barely fit through the door for all the people standing around. But the disorganized crowd as I saw it was being properly managed by the woman at the front desk and the serving crew. So..first time here myself but my sister has been many times. In the past, I guess you ordered at the front desk, took the number you were assigned and found a table. When your order was ready, it was brought to your table based on your presented number. No longer is this the case. We were asked to give our name and wait for table service. Pizza is yummy. My niece is not a topping fan so we went simple with a cheese pizza. It was tasty. A little chew to the crust but nice all around NY style pizza. There is an overall sense of quick service to the place. Although they serve beer and wine, the wait staff needs to be waved down for a refill. I get the impression that your initial order should be your final bill. Our waitress was friendly but not overly attentive. Yes, the front desk folks worked us all through quickly but it was off-putting when you first walked in to chaos. Overall - Food was good. Try to avoid the busy times. And know that if you want more than one cocktail, you'll need to wave down your server.

Food good. But service is "lento". Look it up in Italian Ten minutes before anyone spoke to us Same thing last time Owner sits and watches

Ordered a Sicilian Deluxe to-go and not only was it really on time the pizza was delicious. Probably one of the best Sicilian's I've ever had.. I certainly will come visit them when I'm in town again..

Guess I should have just stuck to pizza according to the other reviews, but I really like eggplant parm anything...sooo, not impressed at all. Ewww! Wouldn't eat here again at all. Maretti's, on Butler Road was much better. More expensive, but worth it. This food was a complete waste of money. I would have rather had Spaghettios for dinner. The meatball app is what you would expect for $3.50-your basic frozen out of the bag meatballs. Small too. Eggplant parm sub had a lot of eggplant, but almost zero sauce, and with that much eggplant you better have some sauce because it's not like I just eat eggplant because it's so good...it's the cheese and the sauce, combined with a good roll that makes it. And the breading, way it's cooked up, etc. Tito's is a place you're better off just passing by. Not pleased at all.

Best pizza in Greenville South Carolina. I've been coming here for years. It can get quite busy because so many others feel the same. I have NEVER been let down when it comes to Tito's.

Upstate doesn't have great pizza but this one sits at the top of the list as BEST. They do the sauce right unlike everywhere else in Greenville County! They could probably could use a bit more on the thin crust pies but their Sicilian is near perfection. If they took their sauce and put it on Tony's NY Style, the way Tony's does their cheese, toppings and crust, it'd be Upstate heaven

Tito's is a spot I find myself frequenting very often. They have a pretty decent size menu with many options to choose from. I always get the mussels in the red sauce as an app, they are very good and come with bread to soak up all that left over sauce. The pizza is pretty good, I prefer the Sicilian style over their traditional New York style. Wednesday nights are my favorite at Tito's because they do $10 off bottles of wine. All in all this a really good spot to grab dinner with the family or friends, food is really good and the wait staff is very friendly.

Not my favorite place. We have tried it twice and it's not worth the price for the quality your getting

The food here was good, and our servers were very friendly. However, there were some things that took away from our dining experience. My wife ordered 2 slices, one pepperoni and one olive oil base with a few toppings. She really liked the pepperoni, but the "white" slice clearly had a red sauce underneath all of the toppings. Pretty sure they just threw some olive oil and extra cheese on top of regular slice and tried to sneak it past us. I had the mussels and linguini. My pasta was very good, but the salad and bread did not come out until after my pasta and only then because I asked for it. That's a huge pet peeve of mine, but again, the food was good. We got a cannoli and lemon cello mascarpone cake to go. They were both very good. We will probably return to see if Tito's can fix the few mistakes from our first visit.

Tito's is a nice family run joint. A good spot for pizza and beer. The pizza is somewhat "Brooklyn style" in the sense that it is very flat and you could fold it in your mouth and eat it! Good flavors in the sauce and pepperoni. We also got chicken Parmesan... It was mediocre. I would stick to the pizza because that is definitely their strength. Really nice staff and waitress.

Nice family-run pizzeria. Pizza was great but calzone was just okay. I would recommend coming here for pizza but for calzone would recommend Tony's

By far the best pizza that can be had in Greenville. Often duplicated (Pizza City, Tony's, etc), but never replicated. Dough and sauces are always made fresh daily and by family recipe. Excellent topping choices, always hot. Beware good pizza dies quickly. Calzones and strombolis are excellent, and don't overlook the Italian pasta specialties. Tito has been a staple in Greenville for many decades. He has brought his families recipes and successfully marketed them in a family friendly environment. No delivery but prompt carry out.

I came here a few times in college and was recently reminded how great it was with an impromptu weekday visit. Such a friendly family place with great, great service. There are not enough New York style pizza places in Greenville but this one fits the bill. The cheesy garlic bread is a win and the Alfredo too. It's really creamy and this is the only places that I know of that actually doesn't skimp on this sauce. My roommate and I came here before a concert and our waitress made sure to have everything to us is in time and offered us waters for the road. A little gesture, but it shows the quality of service that they offer. One thing I was not a fan of was the wine-i believe we had a bottle of pinot noir that was 10 dollars off but left a funny aftertaste. Maybe some of the other kinds would have been better, or maybe this is more of a beer establishment. Tito's feels like a pizza and beer place so next time I will stick with that. Good place to bring a family too.

I LOVE ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING THAT THEY HAVE ON THE MENU, and ALSO OFF THE MENU. They're super friendly, and super fast. But their food is amazing, and the portions are great. I love the lady who works at the front (brain fart right now), and the man who makes my food (he's so sweet!) Don't let the location and the appearance of the restaurant fool you. They have some amazing food. I can't believe I drove by this place 3+ years and only "yelp"discovered few months ago. BAH! I had their mussels with red sauce. I've been told their mussels with the white sauce is also really good.

I like this place, partially for the atmosphere, partially for the food. Pizza is good, wish the crust was a little softer and my whole family agrees. Family of four, large one topping, water to drink, breadsticks, $21 and full stomachs!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
